When she collected her bag on arrival in Indonesia, and 4kg of marijuana had appeared in it, she was subjected to a show trial in which her legal and human rights were systematically abused. A process in which they REFUSED to test the drugs for country of origin (Indonesian and they would have had to release her); REFUSED to fingerprint or DNA the
evidence; REFUSED to weigh her luggage (which would have been 4kg heavier); REFUSED to collect CCTV tape from the airport.... and MUCH more. They then BURNED the evidence so it could never free her! And it worse: MUCH worse.
They sentenced her to 20 YEARS in the hell of a third world cell: more than murders and rapists often receive. That was in 2004. She is still there NOW... TODAY.
