INSIDE THE MILLS POND HOUSE circa 1838

This is one of the pianos in the house there is an upright one in the center hall. I have one more photo of inside the house that I want you to see and then I will take you back outside for more of the tour ~

What a beautiful piano! I wish I knew how to play. Maybe in the next life I'll make a point to take lessons.

Is it a player piano? We have an old house in my city that used to belong to one of the city's most important men. It's gorgeous, furnished with the finest antiques (I am an antique FREAK!), and it's a museum now. They have a player piano in it.

That's what came to mind when I saw this! xoxo

They actually do play this one at parties and show openings, they just don't want people playing around with it : ]

No it's not a player piano....We have so many historic houses on Long Island and most of them have been restored and our first president George Washington rode in his coach right past this property in 1790 !!!!!!

I love antiques also and I'm happy they made the house in your city into a museum it's very important to keep history alive : ]]]
