If anonymous eyewitness reports as cited in the National Enquirer can be believed -- and a lack of corresponding lawsuits seems to indicate that they can -- then Grey's Anatomy's Dr. McDreamy would rather fight than be called a bitch. 

McDreamy's alter ego, as portrayed by the immensely photogenic and widely beloved Patrick Dempsey, was reportedly grabbed about the neck with intent to stifle by anger-management candidate Isaiah Washington.  Anonymous, chatty onlookers claimed the real-life brawl erupted when Dempsey defended a lesser actor from Isaiah's alleged verbal abuse.

Washington, despite uncountable thousands of dollars per week, is perceived as being less massively adored by the television-viewing public than is his McDreamy colleague.  This popularity imbalance could change in the flicker of a remote control as soon as VH1 airs the battle's outtakes on its upcoming "Bloopers and Bashers" series.
