ScarletMadeline's Makeup Mastermind Tells You How To Tweeze Your Eyebrows

A big part of how one does their makeup is someone's face structure, the color of their eyes, the size of their lips, the color of their hair and the shape of their eyebrows. Since a lot of you have been asking me for eyebrow tweezing tips, this round of ScarletMadeline's Mastermind we are looking at Rihanna, Hayden Panettiere and Angelina Jolie's eyebrows.

How to tweeze your eyebrows:
-You should always tweeze your eyebrows right after you get out of the shower. The steam from your shower will open the pores a bit. The skin around your eyes is very sensitive, so this will help keep the irritation low.
- Take a brow brush and brush your eyebrows so that all the hairs are laid out flat. If you dont have a brow brush, use a tooth brush (this is a cheaper option).
- Take an eyeliner pencil and hold it up next to your nose. This will help you see how far your eyebrows grow past the inner corner of your eye. Eyebrows should never grow past the inner corner of your eye. Make sure you do not pluck them too far inward, this will make them look AWFUL!

Here a picture of Rihanna's eyebrows. They are very well lined up with the inner corners of her eyes.
- Start out plucking the hairs in between your eyes. Remember dont remove too much!
- Never pluck hairs from above your eyebrows, it will ruin your natural arch.
- Next, brush all your eyebrow hairs upward with your eyebrow brush. Start removing one hair at a time, one eye at a time from under your eyebrow. Doing one eye at a time will help you make them each look the same.
- Make sure that the outer point of your eyebrow lines up with the outer corner of your eye. They should not be any shorter or any longer then your eye width.

- The biggest tip that I can give you is to not tweeze your eyebrows too much! It takes a while for eyebrows to grow back (sometimes they wont grow back at all). So just tweeze the stray hairs under your brows to start with and then see how each eyebrow looks. Dont rush this process, take your time so you dont mess up.
- You should tweeze your eyebrows about once a week. For best results, see a professional.

How to fill in your eyebrows:
As you all know, unfilled eyebrows are a HUGE pet peve of mind. Even if your makeup is awesome, unfinished eyebrows make the whole look incomplete.
- First brush your eyebrows out flat with a brow brush (or toothbrush, like above).
- I suggest using a pressed powder eyebrow color to fill your eyebrows (not a liner). Liners tend to look too fake and waxy.
- Also make sure that your eyebrow color is a few shades lighter then your actual hair color. If you are blonde, there are "blonde" eyebrow colors that you can purchase.

Angelina's brows are a few shades lighter then her dark brown hair.
- Lightly brush the eyebrow color all over the inside of the eyebrow (dont let the color go outside the brow and onto the skin). If the color is exposed on your skin, it will make your eyebrows look like they are filled in (obviously).
- If you dont have a good natural arch, apply one shade darker (then the color before) to the bottom of your eyebrow. Apply a thin line to the lowest eyebrows hairs, this will help your arch pop.
- To finish off your brows brush them one more time and apply a lighter color to the skin under your brow (like white). This will also make your arches pop. Make sure you blend the color well though!

THERE YOU HAVE IT, FABULOUS EYEBROWS!

Just like most girls in their teens, I struggled with acne for years. I spent thousands of dollars on every medication possible (from my doctor), "Proactive", prescription topical ointments, even horribly painful laser acne treatments. Nothing worked and I continued to wake up every morning with acne and black heads. One day I heard that organic apple cider vinegar was used in the past as medication for ill people and to help kill warts.
I decided to apply some to my face and much to my shock, I woke up the next morning with completely clear skin. Not only did I not have one new zit, but all of my other zits were gone! I know applying vinegar to your face sounds gross, and yes it smells gross but it really works!

Heres my nightly routine:
- I wash my face with an oil free wash from the drug store (no need to spend a lot). I bought some crystals from my dermatologist to mix in with the face wash to help exfoliate my skin. If you have no way to get them, you can look for face washes that help exfoliate.
- Then I go over my face every night and extract any acne that I might have or black heads.
- I take the organic apple cider vinegar and put it onto a cotton ball. Dont skimp on this, apply a lot of it and hold it down for a few seconds all over your face until it start to sting.
- Do this every night for a week and I promise your face will be less oily and you wont have acne! Its awesome. Considering that apple cider vinegar is about $2 for a huge bottle, this is a HUGE savings. Make sure its organic, that is the only kind that works. Other vinegars have too many fillers that could contributer to your acne.

Please try this out and let me know how it works for you! I have never been so happy with my skin, I wish I would have known about this 4 years ago before I had spent as much money as I have.

There's some tips to keep your skin clear and your brows looking fab so you look great for back to school season!

Have you guys found any good cures for acne?
What other things would you guys like advice on?

Thank god you posted this! When it comes to tweezing I have no clue what to do. xD And for acne I use to use Burt's Bees anitbacterial facial stick, but now I just use a prescribed medication.

thanks! i was always trying to figure out how to tweeze my eyesbrows. :) and i use clearasil for acne, it took only a month to get my skin actually clear. proactiv didn't work cause i needed to use it all the time to actually clear out the acne. if i don't use it for about a week and my skin was perfect, pimples would form overnight and i didn't want to constantly buy proactive products. i would like some advice on some hair-do's that would look good for the new school year.

im not sure too much if it clears up alot of spots because i'm fortunate enough not to have them [thankyou god!] but i do find 10 minutes in a facial sauna each day works absolute wonders for making your skin softer :)

When I remember to actually use Clean&Clear, it works like a charm. I still have a bit of acne, but that's because I'm lazy and don't use the stuff every day. XD

I'm gonna try that vinegar thing.
hmm, I would like to see you talk about eye shadow and eye liner. Cause for some reason that's the part that takes more time to do when I'm doing my make up
