APT PUNK recommends: "Lost And Found" - The Last Few

Apt PunkFirstly, thanks so much for taking some time to chat to me; it really is greatly appreciated. Before we continue who am I talking to and what part do you play in the band?

Luke Peters: This is Luke and I play guitar and sing vocals

Apt Punk: When and how did The Last Few form?

Luke Peters: Well this is long story but long story made short: Jerry our other guitarist started the band in middle school with a friend of his and the band went through many members before we finally settled on these four members a little less than a year ago.

Apt Punk: Does the band's name have any specific meaning, or was it chosen on a whim?

Luke Peters: We saw the three words together in a math book and we got psyched cuz we thought they looked cool.

Apt Punk: Who've listed some very popular 90s bands as your influences but which bands would you say have been most influential in your lives and why?

Luke Peters: Um we all have our own influnces and each person brings their own unique set of influences on the band. Our drummer Chuckie grew up listening to metal, our bassist Tom listens to a lot of indie stuff and enjoys Dave Matthews and John Mayor alot, Jerry has been a huge Blink-182 fan as long as I have known him, and I have countered it with my liking for Green Day and I have really started to get into a band called Say Anything and Motion City Soundtrack recently. But a few bands we all enjoy and are influenced by I would say would have to be Blink-182, Sum 41, Jimmy Eat World, Coldplay, and Fall Out Boy....Sorry for how long that answer was but thats the only way to describe our influnces without being extremely brief.

Apt Punk: Forget influences for the moment; what is your favourite song at the moment?

Luke Peters: For me maybe Capitol H by Motion City Soundtrack or Violence by Blink-182

Apt Punk: The Last Few recently played Glennfest, how was that?

Luke Peters: It was awesome. Glenn is a super cool guy who puts on this huge festival with all these bands for his birthday and then we stayed at his house and he is just an awesome dude it it was a great time.

Apt Punk: It was only 3 days but do you have tour tales you'd like to share?

Luke Peters: Well the first night we stayed with these guys in possibly the shittist butthole of a town called El Paso, ILL and the mom of the people we stayed with kept yelling at some fucking kid named Brucey who we didnt even know. She would be like "BRUCEY! BRUCEY! WHAT DID YOU BURN YOURSELF ON!" and we were sleeping and were just like "wtf?!" and basically the next couple hours were spent dozing off right before there was another call to Brucey. Fucking Brucey, I hate that fucker and I dont know who he is.

Apt Punk: Will The Last Few be doing any more tours or concerts anytime soon? And what about EPs or CDs, are they in the woodworks?

Luke Peters: As for tours and concerts we are going to be working with BigTime Entertainment, a managment service, to book some shows during the fall but mainly we are just going to be in school. We also have talked about a small tour in the winter with our buds from a band called Manuit Orange. But next summer were going on at least a months worth of tour so that should be fun. As far as music coming out...our single for our ep "Come With Me" will be on iTunes on Aug 18th but the full release of the ep wont be until around Christmas we are still working on recording it.

Apt Punk If you could describe your sound in one sentence, what would that be?

Luke Peters: Fast fun punk rock music with a touch of smooth girly piano and slow songs.

Apt Punk: We have a few this or that questions for you, so please bear with me. Billie Joe Armstrong or Kurt Cobain?

Luke Peters: Oh man both great but Billie Joe im a huge GD fan

Apt Punk: Christmas or Easter?

Luke Peters: Christmas

Apt Punk: Chuck Norris or Jackie Chan?

Luke Peters: Chuck

Apt Punk: Cats or Dogs?

Luke Peters: Dogs

Apt Punk: The Nightmare Before Christmas or The Corpse Bride?

Luke Peters: The Nightmare Before Christmas

Apt Punk: Lastly, what piece of advice would you care to give everyone reading this?

Luke Peters: Well if your looking into being in a band go for it...find some guys who love play and have some fun you never know what might become of passions. if you dont play an instrument I would just advise to support us in any way you can.

Apt Punk: Thank you for chatting to me and I hope you enjoy the rest of your week!

Luke Peters: Hey you too
