Amy Winehouse has been arrested for suspicion of assault, TMZ.com reported on Friday morning. She is reportedly being held at a police station in London for questioning.

The 24-year-old singer is accused of head-butting a 38-year-old man outside a London pub earlier in the week. She could face up to six months in prison but reportedly hasn't been charged yet with a crime, according to multiple U.K. reports.

British tabloid The Sun had previously described the incident as Winehouse's "most depraved night yet." The article was accompanied by a variety of photos, including one of Winehouse walking into a lamppost, and claimed that the singer "punched a second man in the face, trashed a bar, and smoked drugs on the London sidewalk."

"Police are investigating an alleged assault on Chalk Farm Road at approximately 3:20 a.m. on April 23," a Metropolitan Police spokesman reportedly said. "A 38-year-old man [contacted] Kentish Town police station and alleged a 24-year-old woman had assaulted him."

Before entering the pub earlier in the evening, a patron reportedly said Winehouse was screaming out, "I am a legend, get these people out. I want to take drugs."

No stranger to the media, Winehouse has had a string of high-profile stories as of late, from her hospitalization last August to a stint in rehab in January to big Grammy wins in February. She and her husband, Blake Fielder-Civil, were arrested in October for drug possession, and Winehouse was arrested another time in December on suspicion of attempting to interfere with a court case involving Fielder-Civil.
