"Wanna bet 3/4 of the people posting those Lightbulbsforburma pictures don't give a shit about whats happening there? They cant find Burma on the map. They only did it becuase it was cool. Becuase Peter Wentz did it. They took the picture with their DIGITAL CAMERA and uploaded on their COMPUTER for those on the internet to see it. Then they went back to their everyday HAPPY lives of CELL PHONES, MYSPACE, STARBUCKS and IPODS. camera computer cell phones myspace starbucks ipods. These are the things children in Burma don't even think. All they want is happiness and peace. And you get mad becuase you cant get on myspace?" Go comment/buzz it please! |

Invisible Children
Posted by SarahDanielle from www.invisiblechildren.com 2 yrs 2 mos ago
In the spring of 2003, three young filmmakers traveled to Africa in search of a story. What started out as a filmmaking adventure transformed into much more when these boys from Southern California discovered a tragedy that disgusted and inspired them, a tragedy where children are both the weapons and the victims.
After returning to the States, they created the documentary "Invisible Children: Rough Cut," a film that exposes the tragic realities of northern Uganda.s night commuters and child soldiers. The film was originally shown to friends and family, but has now been seen by millions of people. The overwhelming response has been, "How can I help?" To answer this question, the non-profit Invisible Children, Inc. was created, giving compassionate individuals an effective way to respond to the situation. i got that straight from the site, check it out |

The Lightbulbs for Burma group needs some musical inspiration. Go on in and brainstorm a playlist of freedom and light with these do-gooders. And learn a little more about the cause while you're at it.

Oh Wentz, how you inspire. In the dark about this sudden flood of lightbulb imagery? Head to the group Susan created for the cause. It's worth your time.

GRIFFIN PASSANT-BUILT FOR SPEED
Posted by griffinpassant from www.zazzle.com 2 yrs 7 mos ago
Griffin Passant Streetwear is a unique kind of design work, derivative of Japanese style streetwear design like Bathing ape. It incompasses many different levels of popular culture....music, movies, television, art and current events. Though not a follower of trends the design work at Griffin Passant has become common place. Passant like The If (urban wear), Kikwear, Urban 73 and other underground designers have found success on the internet with the new resurgence of post modern punk, the surfer-skaters, gamers and the new urban preppies.
