Harajuku Fashion Walk #8

I've blogged about the 'Harajuku Fashion Walk' a lot...mainly because i think it's such an important event and one not to miss. The event is a fantastic way to show off your new outfits, your style but more importantly, to meet new friends and build your confidence in a creative and happy environment. This walk saw more international people take part which is simply wonderful news and it also had more Gothic Lolita's, darker clothing and handmade creations :-)

Kawaii Surprises

Today, i received a parcel from my lovely friend Irene (MimiK). When i opened it, it was filled with all of this cuteness!!! I got a beautiful letter and on the back, she sketched a cartoon like drawing of her and me :-) Also, a cute plush carrot, a kitty hook and a handmade (by Irene) Deco Case!!! Now i have two, i can change my phone case each week hehe I'm so grateful to have such a lovely friend, thank you again Irene!!!! :-)

Yesterday, i spent time with my friend Rachael. We've been friends since we were 11 hehe We headed into the city and had some sushi for lunch. Then, we shopped around, i bought some rough material for some sample pieces i'm working on and then we had afternon tea. We got a pot of Flowering Jasmine and Green Tea to share and some cake nomnomnom!

Today, i've been working on a sample skirt and i've finalised the name of the brand!!! I'm so happy with it and i can't wait to show you!!! I hope that everyone has had a lovely day :-)

Hello Kitty Treat

So, today me and Declan decided to go into the city and try to relax a little. We went to Yo! Sushi, for something to eat. We both love it there and the staff are so amazing! I had some Veggie Yakisoba and Edemame Beans, i tried some crunchy tofu too but i didn't really enjoy that. Dec loves all the raw fish and things...:-) Then we went shopping...and here is what i bought hehe

I got some new bobbles from Claires, i don't usually go into Claires because i don't like it but i needed some new bobbles...I also got a cute new, Hello Kitty skirt which is handmade and i got a book which is all about the history of Japanese Fashion. I can't wait to settltle down and start to read it. It starts with all the traditional Japanese Fashion and ends with the latest Japanese Sub Cultures! It's so interesting to me, i absolutely love learning more and more facts about Japanese Fashion.

We also went to Krispy Kreme for some donuts hehe :-)

I've also been thinking a lot lately about Fashion and why people dress the way they do and why people react to certain fashion in negative ways...I think i might do a blog soon to explain myself a little better. Do you feel that you dress for yourself or for other people? Have you ever been judged because of how you dress? It would be lovely to hear your thoughts :-)

New Kawaii Cupcake Ring

So, this is my new cupcake ring made by me :-) I am hoping to be selling this and many other kawaii accessories in time for Spring/Summer.

The ring is made from a Japanese Clay which is super light so it's easy to wear. It will be coming in many different colours and for some items, i'm hoping to do 'custom made'. Then you can pick your own colours and rhinestones etc...

I hope that you like this teeny sneak peak :-) and i hope that you're all having a cute Monday :-)

Lazy Sunday with a Lazy Kitty

So, this morning i woke up feeling terrible with a bad headache and sore throat, so Dusty and I thought it would be a good idea to stay in bed and relax :-)

My niece, Emily was here over the weekend. She arrived on Firday and left on Saturday afternoon. We had such a wonderful time, she's honestly the cutest little girl ever!!! She was teaching me how to spell her name hehe and we took a trip to our local museum :-) Then, in the evening we played crafts and made some little trinket boxes with glitter glue and sequins...so much fun! :-) On Saturday morning i woke up at around 6am because Emily was singing haha so i went to see her and made her breakfast. We then watched one of my Hello Kitty dvd's :-) I really loved having her visit, i haven't seen her in about a year!

This week, i'm not going anywhere special but i need to get my head down and work on some designs. My supplies and materials have all arrived so i'm going to hopefully be working with them over the next week. Right now, i'm going to go and paint my nails all pastel colours! I'm getting a little tired of this dark winter so i'm going to brighten up my nails hehe

No make up and new hair! I'm not a big fan of taking photographs without make up but i have a sore eye at the moment so i can't wear anything on them :-( I think i look awful without make up but i wanted to show you what my new hair looks like hehe :-) I hope that everyone is having a lovely week so far. HYPER JAPAN 2012: The UK's biggest J-culture event.

Today, i received some really excited news and i had to share it with everyone here :-) HyperJapan is the biggest Japanese Culture event in the UK and i've been lucky enough to be granted a Press Pass to cover the event for my blog :-) I can't tell you how freaking excited i am to be attending this year and how excited i am to be covering it and sharing everything with you :-) The event is being held in London at the end of February but before that, i'm going to do a blog to explain a little more about HyperJapan and the things that i'll be blogging about. I'm so excited for this and i hope to meet a lot of amazing people! Also...on a side note, i did a blog last year called 'Dolls Delight' about a brand new designer of Gothic Lolita Clothing. Anyhoo, i found out last night that she's read my blog and it's now featured on her website hehehe I'm so happy that she liked it, she deserves all the credit for being such a lovely designer :-) I hope that everyone is having a lovely weekend! x<3

I've recently become addicted to Tumblr. My lovely Declan has been helping me all night to make it look all pretty :-) It's a great place to share photographs and links etc...it's like one huge inspiration board. Fresh Year, Fresh Start

So, i've started the year off listening to this pretty much on repeat...my mind is now blown but i love it haha :-) I do love the start of a new year, i believe that you can make changes anytime but the New Year gives you a chance to look forward and see what goals you would like to achieve. There are so many things that i want to get done this year, i'm not sure i'll be able to manage them all but i'll try my very best. My OCD and Anxiety problems are on the top of my list of 'to do'. I really want to get rid of these or at least calm them under control this year! I also want to carry on working on my designs and start selling (hopefully for Summer) and continue to blog my heart out, I've recently opened a Tumblr account to so i hope to start working on that throughout the year. Ummmmmm what else?...i really want to volunteer at an animal shelter too, it's something i've wanted to do since i was little, so i hope that this is the year to do it. I'd love to get the chance to travel this year...but we'll see how that goes. There are so many more thing's but i don't want to bore you :-) How about everyone else? Do you have any goals that you would like to achieve this year? Are you making any big changes? I hope that you enjoy the video too hehe, She's too cute! x
