ScarletMadeline's Makeup Mastermind Discusses Joan Jett's Early 80's Look
The 1980's are totally the new 2000's. Why would you look new if you could look like Joan Jett; all punked out, bad ass and stylish at the same time. Chekc out Joan Jett's makeup and take a closer look at how to get the look.

When I look at vintage pictures of Joan Jett, I can see why she was such a rock Icon in the 1980”s. Her style was not only envied by many, but also copied by other rock stars in that time period.

An example of that is Pat Benatar. Not only did Pat have the cool rock star look of the 1980’s, she was also considered a rock icon at that time. The similarities are amazing.
Joan Jett is still a smokin hot rock icon.
It is amazing to me to look at the vintage pictures of both, and see that makeup fashion has not changed that much. We all know that the smokey eye will always be a staple in fashion. Looking back at these photos, we know that 1980’s makeup fashion is still popular in 2009.
GET JOAN JETT'S LOOK:
-To start, make sure you fill in those brows!
-Apply a neutral light shadow from your lash line to your eyebrow.
-Next, apply a black or gray shadow from the lash line to the brow bone. To achieve a true smokey look the most important step is to BLEND,BLEND,BLEND. Working with very dark pigments is kind of difficult, but the more you practice, the better you will be. It is also important to not load your brush too heavily with shadow. Shadow dust can fall all over the face and completely ruin your efforts. Always apply dark shadows a little at a time.
-The next step is to add a great liquid liner to the top lash line. When lining underneath the eye, I recommend using more of the black or gray shadow. It is easier to smudge shadow than it is to smudge pencil or liner.
-To complete the look, add black mascara to the lashes and a nude lipstick or dark berry color to the lips. Now you can be a Rock Star, or just look like one.
If you could do your makeup like any rockstar who would you choose?
