Chapter Six: Always, Until The End of Time

"No," Lucy laughed as the cute couple walked right next to the lakes where they always went every October. The metropolitan area was gorgeous this time of year. 

"Why not?" Jack asked.

"Because, I'm not stupid!" she laughed really hard again over the fact that Jack asked her if she'd fuck Edward Cullen. "He's disgusting." 

"So... you'd do me, but not him? Seems like I'm hotter..." Jack smiled.

"Don't get too caught up in it, emo boy." Lucy laughed as Jack grabbed her wrists, pulling her in for a kiss. They had a romantic night, eating dinner at a fancy little restaurant over on Broadway Drive. It seemed like Jack was going all out and doing everything that he never had before just because of the love that was so strong for Lucy. In a few more minutes of laughing and kissing, they both fell to the ground, right by the lake.

"What does the future have in store for us?" Lucy asked, looking up to the stars trying to read them like a pro.

"I think..." Jack started to say and then kissed Lucy's temple and continued, "that, one day, I'm going to get down on one knee, asking you to marry me.. You'll say yes, then we'll live happily ever after." he chuckled just thinking about it.

"Bullshit." Lucy objected, Jack was scared. "There's not 'happily ever after', Jack." she laughed because it frightened him. He laughed also.

"Well, then..." Jack laughed. "We'll just spend our lives together, growing old as a happy couple with kids and a dog... Is that good enough for you?" he asked.

"Yep, but Alex has to live with us." Lucy laughed.

"That's okay with me!" they both looked into each others eyes, both with shimmers of stars and reflections. "Lucy?"

"Yes?"

"I have a question for you..." Jack smiled.

"You've had questions for me all night." Lucy spoke of the truth.

"I know, but this one is very important." he smiled.

"Go ahead then." 

"Lucy," Jack started to say as he hid his hand as it dug in his pocket, bringing out little box. "I love you, I hope you know that. You mean the world to me and if I were to ever lose you, I'd lose myself. You are perfect in this world of imperfection and there are not too many girls like yourself. So, Lucy Scarlet Gaskarth, will you be my girl for eternity?" he pulled out the box from the dark secret place where she couldn't see it. Opening it, she gasped. A diamond engagement ring was in the box, and she didn't know how to react. Jack smiled at her. "Lucy, will you marry me? Or, promise to marry me in the future?" Lucy was still shocked, thinking about what Alex was telling her was a total lie. 

With a tear in her voice, she said, "Jack, of course I will! I want to love you always! Until the end of time!" Jack took the ring out of it's place and slipped it onto Lucy's left ring finger, making it official that someday Lucy will become a Barakat, or a Gaskarth-Barakat, what ever she chooses. After the ring was on her finger and both of them were crying tears of joy, Jack took both of his hands and cupped them on her face, pulling her in for a long, settle kiss. 

"I love you." he smiled, "I always have and I always will."

"I love you, too." she giggled, trying to stop tears from flowing, but they were already rushing down her cheeks.

*1 Hour Later*

"What happened?!" Alex asked as his baby walked through the front door with a red, almost purple, colored face. Her eyes were red as could be, but a smile was still there. "What did Jack do, Lucy?" he yelled.

"Nothing, absolutely nothing." Lucy turned to face her older brother, she smiled, but he didn't believe it.

"Then why are you crying?" Alex lowered his voice for a moment and looked her in the eyes, but she latched onto Alex hard instead. Jumping on him so her feet were off the ground.

"Because, he proposed to me tonight."
