"The Maersk Alabama was on its way to the Kenyan port of Mombasa loaded with food aid when the pirates attacked it Wednesday morning. It was the first time in recent history that pirates targeted a U.S.-flagged ship.

The vessel was carrying relief supplies for USAID, the U.N. World Food Program and the Christian charities WorldVision and Catholic Relief Services. The U.N. agency said its portion of the cargo included nearly 4,100 metric tons of corn-soya blend bound for Somalia and Uganda, and another 990 metric tons of vegetable oil for refugees in Kenya."  CNN.com 

 

 

 

Why do people steal from the hungry? It's cruel and inhumane.  I don't mind Robin Hoods, but I can't stand cruelty.

Obama has so far had a very rocky presidency, and then I hear this and it's not coming from The Daily Show.

With Hillary's constant attack on Obama's politics I can't even remember what she stands for, which might have something to do with the fact that Obama currently has 54% of voters on his side. To gain the support of more voters Hillary has employed a new political trick-crying! In her New Hampshire speech Hillary actually 'broke down' and cried. Will fake tears sway your vote? She's not even President yet and she's already cracking up! Personally I don't want a president that appearently can't handle the stress. Or a President that makes fun of the other candidate non-stop. You don't support him? fine. You don't agree with his views? fine. But for the love of God, if you don't like the other candidate so much why do you feel the need to spend all of your time on TV and with the voters complaining about the other candidate instead of getting YOUR message across? By talking badly about the other person all the time don't you realize you're just making yourself look bad? Of course letting your husband pretty much run your campaign (into the GROUND) isn't helpful either. It's childish. And kind of pathetic. Is this a political campaign or Junior High School?

This morning I was watching the news and I suppose her newest standpoint is how scandalous it is for Obama to have worn traditional African clothing while visiting Kenya. Since when is it so wrong to observe the traditions of different cultures? Isn't that what America is all about? Embracing different cultures? I though so but I guess not. What's he spose to do, be rude and offend them by saying "No, I don't wanna wear your clothes because my people assume that all people wearing turbans are terrorists. Sorry, we're ignorant hicks." SERIOUSLY!! But of course it isn't a problem for Hillary to wear the clothes of foreign nations when she visits. I'm gettick so sick of the smear campaigns. I'm over it.

P.S. The e-mail circulating about Obama's supposed 'radical muslim' heritage is total bull. Why don't you actually check it on snopes.com instead of taking their word on it that it's true. I know it says "checked on Snopes.com" or something at the top but seriously guys, think a little. Don't believe everything you read. Get it together and do some investigating yourselves. Geeze.
