kcsb's friday night hip hop event sells out! w00t!
kcsb-fm and la casa de la raza presented an all-ages hip hop show featuring live performances by zion i and the grouch, scarub, blu, and bash bros. this past friday, may 4th, in la casa's amazingly designed auditorium.
the crowd was at capacity (about 550 peeps in da haus!). the evening went smashingly well. :) i hope we'll do more in collaboration with la casa in the future! there's so much music history in that hall (dead kennedys, black flag, the ramones, husker du-era stuff, tons of reggae over the years) & it was my first show there, ever! =D it has such awesome chicano murals all over the place & a hanging aztec calendar piece right behind center-stage.
& the music & artists were off the hook!
