December 20, 2009Rage Against The MachineFINALLY! There is a music God!
On the 20th December 2009, Rage Against the Machine was awarded 2009 Christmas number one for their song Killing in the Name. Beating XFactor winner Joe.
Every year the XFactor claims number one in our official UK charts for Christmas number one and every year the song is shit...
This year we were going to have to put up with a Miley Cyrus song, so thanks to the clever thinking people that started up a facebook group supporting RATM we can listen to proper music!
Showing THERE IS A MUSIC GOD.
Now we can all have a very Merry Christmas knowing that the UK Christmas Number One is a song written by the performers with a kick ass guitar solo! "And now you do what they told ya" Have a lovely Christmas EVERYONE :D

July 9, 2009She Work Hard for the MoneyGuess what. I got a job today! I'll start working at Justice tomorrow morning. I didn't really want to work there to be honest, because I don't like little girls. Hehe and Justice is a store for little girls. But I'm really in need of a job guys, so I'll take what I can get. If I have to listen to Hannah Montana CDs all day, I'll do it. So tomorrow I'll let you guys know how my Orientation goes. I'm excited/ nervous. This is my first job... ever (sad i know). But I'll be wearing a cute outfit so hopefully that'll help (idk how, but i feel awesome in it). It's my gray leopard print shirt with my blue high waisted skirt :] yays! On a sadder note, my mom's boyfriend, Charles, told me that his band is having drama. For those of you who haven't heard of them, they're called Bury the Past (link is on my myspace). They're really good. However their guitarist is butting heads, and the whole band took the singer's side. So they're leaving the guitarist. But maybe this is a good thing, because they already have a new guitarist lined up hehe. But they're trying to pick a new name for the band now. (Charles and I hated "bury the past") So if you have any ideas for names let me know. Ugh, I'm so tired today though. I woke up early today because I had a funeral to go to. My friend's brother died so Bonnie and I went for her. I was worried about her, and it was hard to see her so broken up. And I know how shitty it is to lose a brother, but when mine died Bonnie got me big ol' sunflowers. So I bought Jackie some today; they made her smile :] Then afterwards I met Blaine at Laberge (the fancy ass hotel south of town) to swim at they're lazy river. Hehe our friend brought her kid over (she's older don't worry) and he was so fun to play with hehe. He's a hell raiser and I love it. I hope to one day raise a little shit just like him. Afterwards, we went to Alan's ... where we swam again hehe. OMG! Yall, fuck diving boards! We've been cliff diving off the roof! (i have a video if you want to see hehe) Because swimming wears you out, we decided to go to Olive Garden after our swim. We looked like total trash, but whatever, we know we aren't classy. Who needs to be classy when you're scrappy? (totally kidding) We threatened to kill a crying baby at the table behind us though... ... and for some reason the whole area was staring at us... that could be because we were talking about sex, masturbating, and the best way to curb stomp someone. You can't take us anywhere. Well, that's all I have to say. I'm rambling. I do that alot x[ Hehe no one even reads these!

February 27, 2009Actual headline: "Chris Brown learns anger management, could Rihanna use it too?" Because you showed your instability is equal to your abuser's when you provoked him to bash your face in by throwing his keys![]() I'm too sickened to post the actual article text. So here's the link. Apparently Rihanna has been proven to need anger management since she got her face bashed in. Keep in mind, this feature isn't even really about Chris Brown and Rihanna. This is about domestic violence. Apparently, the New York Daily News has no qualms with blaming abuse victims for their traumatic experiences if they have the audacity to do something like, say, throw a pair of car keys. Because us bitches deserve it when we get out of line. I emailed a letter to the editor, here it is: Title: Your Hideous Chris Brown/Rihanna Feature "I am emailing to voice my outrage over your sickening article about Rihanna needing anger management. The woman had her face practically bashed in, and according to your paper, she caused him to do it by throwing a pair of car keys. Oh yes, she should definitely be punished for making Brown beat her, right? She must have asked for it? Brown could not possibly control himself and not hit her after she had the audacity to throw those keys! Because it's the woman's fault if they're abused, right? They deserve a beating for having the nerve to..... throw keys. Gotta teach us our place, right? If not, well, we're just asking for a beating. Yep. She had her face used as punching bag, she definitely needs anger management. Obviously she's unstable. It's not enough that she was pulverized by someone she trusted, she needs to be taught another lesson! I'm not really talking about those two anymore. I'm talking about every case of domestic violence in which a woman (or sometimes a man) has been beaten and blamed for it. This acceptance of victim-blaming continues to justify abuse and violence to potential attackers. You were not just talking about Rihanna and Chris Brown there, you were essentially sent the message that the victim is to blame when they are abused. You used an unknown source (couldn't you at least have the decency to use a real one? Or did you just make this up to feul some pro-violence, woman-hating agenda?). You sent the message that the victim of abuse "asks for it" in some way, and that violence against women is okay if the woman has the audacity to act in an angry manner. You sent that message to your readers, This was just an "example." Don't believe me? Read some of the comments on your article. You were not talking about those two celebrities at all. You were talking about all victims of abuse, all women who had ever been beaten by their fathers, partners, husbands, boyfriends, etc. You decided that in the issue of Domestic Violence, you are more sympathetic to the abusers than the victims. Thank you for sending the message that abuse victims ask for it, that women make men beat them, that the man should not be held responsible for his violent actions in cases like these. I hope you are proud of yourselves. I will from now on associate your publication with violence, irresponsibility, lack of human feeling, and misogyny Wendy Notsid" You know maybe I'm strange, but I really think the person who resorted to violence is the one who is entirely at fault. You can send a message to the editor at voicers@edit.nydailynews.com This isn't about one incident, this is about all cases of Domestic Abuse. We need to stand up against victim-blaming, whoever the victim may be. Violence is never justifiable and victims are being criticized for being attacked. What kind of fucked up world do we live in where people actually do that?

Justice, Soulwax, Simian Mobile Disco, Deadmau5, Boys Noize, and Crystal Castles topped the lineup, with 27 acts in total. More details...

September 27, 2008do the D.A.N.C.E.
...catching all the lights.
WOOOT! JUSTICE MADNESS! i cant get enough of justice lately, and that is maybe because i miss dancing (not that i dance professionally or whatnot). now, i planned to close read the lyrics of the song, but i suddenly remembered the website that patty told me wherein people can do that for you. not that i am being lazy, but i just thought of checking it out to see what people think of that song. (apparently, it is about Michael Jackson of Jackson 5. [they have supported their assumptions using a quote from an interview: "According
to Justice themselves, D.A.N.C.E. was directly inspired by the
paedophile related trials and tribulations of Michael Jackson. “Us, we
were so sure he was innocent, we wrote the song,” Gaspard explained.
“We wrote the lyrics as tribute to him."" by dleklas on 06-15-2007 @ 12:15:04 AM (a member of the website songmeanings.net) *** in the song, there are random acronyms (such as D.A.N.C.E., B.E.A.T. and P.Y.T.). it was explained there that it is pertaining to Michael Jackson. D.A.N.C.E.: moon dance B.E.A.T.: his song, "Beat it" (not sure though) P.Y.T.: from his song, "pretty young thing" *** Aside from that, there are several lines (not acronyms) which also pertains to him: “The way you move is a mystery” -as we all know, he’s a great dancer. And seeing him dance gracefully sometimes makes people think, “HOW DOES HE DO THAT???”) “You're always there for music and me” -he made a great impact to the music industry that even though he’s not an active artist anymore, he still lingers in the memory of the music enthusiasts) “Under the spotlights Neither black nor white It doesn't matter Do the DANCE (do the dance)” - it is a fact that he changed the color of his skin (due to some conflicting reasons). Despite that, the people still patronizes his music. *** somehow, these assumptions can be true, since their evidences somehow fit whatever is about michael jackson. and, with all that, i have realized that michael jackson really does have a big influence in the music industry. not jsut in the USA, but also here in the philippines (since many bands/artists say that once of their favorite artists is michael jackson).

September 21, 2008The Treasures of San Francisco's Treasure Island Festival Day 1
If I had three thumbs I would put them all up for Treasure Island Music Festival Day 1. Props to Noise Pop, Another Planet and those that put together the festival, applause to the people dancing around on stilts, envy to the girls with hula-hoops and gratitude to the spicy pizza pie people for fulfilling my hunger. Festival details ...

September 20, 2008Beck, Justice Rock San Diego for Street Scene
Friday night's Street Scene Festival, the first of a two day fest, saw bands like Beck, Justice, and Vampire Weekend return to the actual street; the past few years, the festival has bounced around town in less-than-desired locations. This return to roots move only added to the frantic and energetic performances from that day's bands.
How were the bands at Street Scene?
