January 30, 2009Everyone is sick of Jessica's Weight GainYes, I realize Jessica Simpson is not liked. But as a fellow woman, this needs to be talked about. Jessica Simpson performed at the KISS Country Chilli Cookoff, wearing a not-so flattering outfit.
And the world is sick about the scrutiny. And so am I. Sister Ashlee got into a somewhat feminist rant about the subject. Go Ashlee. Then, brother-in-law Pete Wentz, told Extra, "I think that the media puts too harsh of a spotlight on women in general and I think it's a bummer. It's bad for young women. I see it affecting young girls who come to our shows and that's a bummer. Real beauty is on the inside, man." And now, Kim Kardashian tells us that she is probably double the size of Jessica Simpson. "So what do you guys think of me then?" Seriously, if she has gained weight, that is great. What does it matter? It doesn't mean she's any less of a person.

January 28, 2009a new day has dawned...
i have actually just gained a pretty substantial bit of respect for Ashlee Simpson-Wentz.
the following has been taken from an online article: Ashlee Simpson-Wentz has a bone to pick with those who say her sister is looking a bit meatier than usual. "I am completely disgusted by the headlines concerning my sister's weight," Simpson wrote Tuesday on her website. "A week after the inauguration and with such a feeling of hope in the air for our country, I find it completely embarrassing and belittling to all women to read about a woman's weight or figure as a headline on Fox News." Sure enough, Fox's website reported today that Jessica Simpson shocked fans Sunday at Radio 99.9 Kiss Country's Chili Cookoff in Pembroke Pines, Fla., with her "noticeably fuller figure" and had apparently "eased up on her fitness regimen a bit." Hmmph, says Ashlee. "All women come in different shapes, sizes, and forms and just because you're a celebrity, there shouldn't be a different standard," the younger Simpson sis continued. "Is this something you would say to your wife, daughter, mother, grandmother, or even a friend? I seriously doubt it. How can we expect teenage girls to love and respect themselves in an environment where we criticize a size 2 figure? Now we can focus on the things that really matter." Well, some of us can. In response to the hullabaloo caused by, at worst, a pair of unflattering high-waisted jeans, Simpson's former trainer told Extra that Jessica Simpson is perfectly healthy and "has curves where a woman needs to have curves. "We all go a little bit up and a little bit down," Hollywood trainer Harley Pasternak said. "But she's healthy. She's still sexy. She's still a beautiful woman. And I have no problem with the way she looks. I think if more people looked the way she looks now, the country would be a lot healthier."</font color> while i still don't necessarily like the simpsons [[not the cartoon, you ass... i still love them...]] i agree with everything this article says. rofl who knew? =p

Ashlee Takes on a Weighty Subject: Jessica SimpsonAshlee Simpson-Wentz has a bone to pick with those who say her sister is looking a bit meatier than usual. Ashlee Simpson-Wentz Doesn't Want to Hear About Her Sister's Weight
Recent headlines have ripped into Jessica Simpson's weight, following several unflattering pictures surfacing from a recent performance. The pictures show Jessica looking like she's slightly heavier than previously, though some of that could possibly be blamed on the unflattering pair of jeans she's wearing.
The point is, sources such as US Magazine were labeling their online pictures with "simpson-fat-b," and even Fox News jumped on the bandwagon of discussing and picking apart Jessica's weight. And of course, they even had to pose the question "Is Jess preggers?" and then talk about her diet. And Jessica's sister, Ashlee Simpson-Wentz, has had enough. In a Myspace blog, Ashlee ripped into the press, especially Fox News, for their concentration on the story. "I am completely disgusted by the headlines concerning my sister's weight. A week after the inauguration and with such a feeling of hope in the air for our country, I find it completely embarrassing and belittling to all women to read about a woman's weight or figure as a headline on Fox News." Ashlee also asks "How can we expect teenage girls to love and respect themselves in an environment where we criticize a size 2 figure?" Simpson-Wentz knows all too well what kind of damage can be done to a young woman when she's unable to love and respect herself: she struggled with an eating disorder in her youth. At 11 years old, Ashlee developed anorexia and at one point her weight was at roughly 70lbs. "All women come in different shapes, sizes, and forms," Ashlee includes in her blog, "and just because you're a celebrity, there shouldn't be a different standard." She ends the blog with something I'm sure many other people are saying as well: "Now can we focus on the things that really matter." Jessica Simpson's personal trainer has also spoken out about the criticisms of her weight, saying "We all go a little bit up and a little bit down - but she's healthy. She's still sexy. She's still a beautiful woman, and I have no problem with the way she looks." Interestingly enough, all of this talk about how "fat" Jessica is comes up at the same time as news that a company is suing Simpson's manager, her father Joe Simpson, over a 2005 work out DVD the Dukes of Hazard Star made, but then decided she was against releasing. Clips from the video can be seen here, and from the way it looks, Jessica or Joe, whoever made the final call to not release it, was probably right. What do you think about the sruntiny of Jessica Simpson's weight and her younger sister's defense?

December 28, 2008Jessica Simpson trying for a baby![]() Jessica Simpson's Releases of 1999-2008 years. Jessica Simpson is 'actively trying' for a baby. The singer-and-actress is reportedly desperate to start a family with her American football star boyfriend Tony Romo after her younger sister Ashlee gave birth to her first child, son Bronx Mowgli, last month. A source told gossip blogger Perez Hilton: "I wouldn't be surprised if Jessica makes an announcement that she's pregnant very, very soon.' Meanwhile, the 'Come On Over’ singer has revealed that the festive period has made her become more domesticated. She said: "My personality is now more stay-at-home - right now I'm doing the Christmas tree and everything. I'm in Dallas and its fun, Tony hasn’t had Christmas in seven years because they have football every Christmas and he can’t go home. So I’m bringing Christmas to him this year. 'Believe it or not, I like to bake pies. Tony’s favourite is pumpkin pie and I haven't mastered that yet. Maybe I'm more of a baker - I like to make cakes, more fattening." Jessica recently spoke of her delight at becoming an aunt following the birth of Bronx, Ashlee’s son with husband Pete Wentz. She said: "Bronx is beyond precious. I'm over the moon with joy.
