May 14, 2008Honda Civic Tour- Pretty. AWESOME!!!! [Orlando, FL]Pics and videos coming soon..... Orlando, FL - 4/25/08 In-store CD signing was awesome. I got in line at 4:30pm and made a friend in line named Minny or Manny. I completely forgot. As I waited in line, everyone googled at my Panic bag lol. There was another girl in line who had the same bag but what was there to say? We rocked! Around 5pm, the staff to Virgin Megastore let the line move into the main room where the signing would be held. Everyone started getting jittery and excited. Finally, at 5:55pm, the boys of Panic entered into the room with a screaming presence [hahaha]. Zack and Dan Angel {snow and pool freak}, the bodyguards did their jobs quite properly. First person that signed my CD was Jon. He is seriously down to earth. Then Spencer in his rather unique style of hippie love! He liked my Jamaican hat! Hahaha, then there was Ryan... I kinda got speechless around him. Then last BUT not least Brendon. He said hi. I said in this squeaky voice hi. Then I asked for a high five and he gave me an awesome one. I will never forget that high five. Bahahaha!!! After the signing, I got some video tape of them signing other peoples' stuff and all that awesomeness. Zack kept getting in the way but I don't care. Virgin Megastore Signing: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kD9zfpPPrSE After the signing, they were walking out of the store and I screamed, "Jamaica loves you!" Brendon replied back, "I love Jamaica!" Yay me! lol. So I finally got to the concert and I had missed some of Phantom Planet which upset me greatly. Ever since I saw them at the Paramore concert, I immediately got hooked on them. The funny part, I spotted Brendon in this hidden balcony part which was above the stage. He was doing some serious head-banging! The great part was when they sang their famous song "California" then Alex the lead singer crowd surfed all the way to the back where the merch table was. I did indeed help out with his crowd surfing. He kinda fell behind me. Very sweaty indeed lol. But the best part was the end of the night after the concert but I'll explain exactly what happened later. After Phantom Planet, The Hush Sound came out. I never really gave them a chance. I just thought they were this oldtime group. But they changed my mind completely. They sounded really great. I have yet to know their songs but I'll download them and give their songs a good listen. I saw Zack on the side of the stage so I knew a certain someone would come sing a line from one of their songs. Brendon Urie with that suede jacket he wears a lot- love that material by the way. [I have heard Honey, Honey on Youtube and I liked it. Got to buy their CD I guess.] After The Hush Sound, it was all Motion City Soundtrack. Okay, now this part of the show I just couldn't enjoy because of the crowd surfers and the whole pushing as one crowd. I got bonked on the head with two of these surfers and I was getting pissed. At the same time, I was happy because I was getting closer and closer to the stage. A lot of people started passing out because of the heat but I stood my ground... well actually I kept floating above ground with the crowd swirving but I was alive at the end. Again, this group I never listened to either but they seriously rocked the House of Blues like crazy! They even to some timeouts when they saw people getting hurt or passing out before they played another song. Talk about fan loyalty. Then the event everyone was waiting for.... drum roll please! PANIC AT THE DISCO! -> see? there is the exclamation point! What can I say? They are who they are! I can't really explain that much about their performance except... BREATH-TAKING! AMAZING! MIND-BOTTLING! [got that from blades of glory]. I got some videos coming on here. I'll have links. Ryan and Jon had these sunglasses on for two to three songs and then they took them off. Everyone one screamed lol. Jon drank one of his fav beers Newcastle Dark Ale [its okay] and Brendon must be living it up being 21 by drinking some Corona Light [now that stuff is good]. I screamed the whole concert so my throat hurts now. But the performance was amazing. They play songs from their first album A Fever You Can't Sweat Out and make it sound very rockish lol. Get ready to folk around and pleading the moon to not go down with those new favorites from their new album Pretty. Odd. Overall, hypnotizing performance! Mad As Rabbits: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ETqVeoxQp4Q We're So Starving and Nine in the Afternoon: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V3I1q9NmQJ0 So after the concert, I thought I'd see Panic at the Disco one more time. INSTEAD, I felt even MORE lucky when Alex and Jeff from Phantom Planet decided to play some tunes acoustically in the parking lot. Okay, well Jeff recorded the whole thing but to be close to a guy like him was awesome enough!!! We all sat pow-wow- campfire-I-wanna-roast-some-marshmallows-and-make-smores circle. Alex got a request from a fan to play a song he had written when he was 17. It was called "the Stalker" lol, but actually it was a beautiful love song. I enjoyed it greatly. 2 Videos on that too. Phantom Planet: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9Vkg1Qf6shg my video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8PmIHA8h-Ug Then he sang "California". You're gonna hear my loud whistling and pathetic voice singing along but he played very well. Then he sang some other requests from other cool fans. He sang "Hey Jude" from Paul Mc Carthney and some others I forgot. By the end, the fans who stuck around got to chat with him and take pics. Well, Jeff was about to leave and he was walking away. So I rushed over to get a pic. He was so sweet and nice! He's an amazing drummer! Can't wait to see the whole band come back to Florida! So all in all, I enjoyed myself. The whole concert is awesome. You will sweat indeed! If you haven't got tickets, get them cuz it's worth it! If they sold out, find a way by all means necessary... okay don't beat up the other fans now. GO FORTH AND ROCK OUT!
