December 30, 2009Everything I Ask For (Thirteen)Loooooooooooong chapter. :)
Chapter Thirteen
Emily's P.O.V
That night...I had the same dream I'd been having for weeks come back. I had stopped having the dreams at the hospital, but I guess now that I was back at the hotel, they had returned, as well.
I sighed in contentment as I felt his arms wrap around me, bringing me closer to him. As always, I wrapped my arms around him and placed a soft kiss on his lips. He grinned, pulling away slightly to look at me.
He spoke my name softly, just the same as every other dream. “Emily,” he ran his fingers through my hair. I tried to hold back the smile at the sound of his voice, but I couldn't. I placed my head into the crook of his neck. He hugged me and I felt whole after so long, although I knew he was going to leave after this. He continued calling my name and hugging me closer. My smile became a grimace as his arms tightened too much.
“Ow! Josh that hurts!”
His arms continued to bind me in a vice grip, and I knew what was coming next. I raised my head and let out a strangled scream. Josh wasn’t there. Instead, a blood-red snake coiled around me, letting out a hiss of a laugh. He tightened his hold on me. Where Josh’s caressing fingers had been, now ran the snake’s tongue, leaving behind burning venom. I began hyperventilating, looking for Josh, though I knew where he would be, and who would be with him. I found him, standing causally and looking at me with humor apparent in his cold brown eyes. I shrieked again.
“Josh, help me!” I begged. "Josh! Josh!"
"Emily, wake up!"
Someone was shaking me awake as I cried and screamed in my sleep. I opened my eyes, desperately, and was instantly met with Josh's steady gaze. I stared at him for a few seconds before I sat up and launched myself into his arms.
"Whoa, Em, it's okay," he soothed. "I'm here, it's okay."
"J-Josh," I sobbed, clinging to him.
"Shhh," he murmured, kissing the top of my head. "It was just a dream."
"D-don't leave," I mumbled. Josh pulled me closer to him.
"I won't Em, I won't. I love you." Josh held onto me, rocking me back and forth until my tears stop, and I felt my eyelids begin to feel heavy, and before I knew what was happening, Josh was laying me down on the bed and pulling the sheets around my body. He brushed some hair from my forehead and kissed my cheek, and I heard him walking away from me. In panic, I grabbed his wrist lightly.
"Don't go," I said. I tugged on his arm, trying to pull him back to me.
"I'm here," he murmured. I opened my eyes and let go of his wrist to pat the spot next to me, indicating for him to lie with me. "What about Becky?" he questioned, his eyes flickering to Becky's empty bed.
"Not here," I mumbled. Josh chuckled lightly before he climbed in beside me, wrapping his arms around my waist. I smiled and moved closer to him, burying my head in the crook of his neck. I heard him sigh in contentment and I smiled wider, beginning to feel the brink of unconsciousness overcome me.
"Good night Emily," Josh whispered.
"Night," I mumbled, but it didn't even sound coherent to me. I slowly drifted off into a peaceful slumber.
***
I woke up the next morning and sat up straight, instantly looking around the room for Josh. I heard water running in the bathroom and I smiled, climbing out of bed and over to the dresser. I pulled on a pair of jeans before searching through my many band shirts. I finally decided on my No Doubt shirt, pulling my tank top off and the black and white shirt on.
"Whoa!" I heard a yell. I whirled around. "Owwwww," Josh mumbled.
"What the hell?" I exclaimed, running over to see Josh lying on the floor, his legs tangled with his duffel bag. "Are you okay?" I asked.
Josh opened his eyes and sat up. "Umm, yeah."
"What happened?" I giggled.
"Oh, I, um, I tripped?" He said it like a question, and I rolled my eyes.
"No shit, sherlock," I teased, grinning. "But you're usually not so clumsy so early in the morning."
"Yeah well...late night," he replied.
"Wait," I said, catching the nervous tone in his voice and the slight blush on his cheeks. "When did you walk into the room?"
"Uhhh..." Josh trailed off, his blush deepening. I felt my own blush begin to creep it's way onto my cheeks.
"Ah, Josh, did you walk in while I was changing?!" I asked.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean to!" he cried.
I groaned a little before laughing a bit. "It's okay."
"Really?"
"Well at least you didn't stand there and watch - hey wait, how long were you standing there?"
"I wasn't watching you!" Josh exclaimed.
"Alright, moving on," I sighed. "Well, Becky apparently stayed up all night with the guys. I'm guessing she's crashed by now so we have some time to ourselves," I smiled at him, and he gave me a grin.
"Whatever shall we do?" Josh asked, leaning in and kissing me.
"How about we go eat breakfast?" I mumbled against his lips. I pulled away and stood up, pulling him up with me. "Just let me fix my hair for a second," I turned to the mirror and tried to tame my wild red hair, brushing it back slightly with my fingers. When I was somewhat-satisfied, I turned to Josh, a smile on my face. He was staring at me with a slightly horrified expression and my smile faded.
"What?" I questioned. "Is my hair still rumpled or something?" Josh shook his head and offered me a small smile. I furrowed my eyebrows. "Okay, then let's go, shall we? Are you up for Starbucks?"
"Em, we need to talk," Josh said quickly. I felt my eyes widen slightly as I looked up at him. That was a famous break-up line. He couldn't be...could he? "Umm..." he continued, looking a little upset. "Garrett told me about the nightmares yesterday."
I nodded slightly, understanding. "Starbucks it is then. Good for conversations."
"Right," Josh agreed, and we made our way down to the Starbucks. It wasn't crowded and we ordered our food and drinks quickly before finding a small booth nestled in the back of the room.
"Okay," I said after we had sat down. "Talk away."
"I'm so, so sorry Emily," Josh began. I sighed.
"Josh. We've already forgiven each other. Let's move on."
"Okay," Josh allowed. "But I still want to know about the nightmares."
"Fine. But you have to promise you won't beat yourself up over them."
"I promise."
"Right," I said. "It started a few days after I started getting suspicions...."
"Suspicions?" Josh asked.
"About you being with Hayley," I replied.
"Em, you know-"
"I know, Josh, I was stupid. Let me finish," I insisted, and he nodded. I continued. "Well, it was the night of the concert, and I had come back to the hotel room. That was the night I had ignored your call...and not over bad sushi. I ignored your call because I wanted to," I took a deep breath and noticed a look of hurt flash through Josh's eyes. "I'm sorry," I mumbled. "I shouldn't have...but I was upset and not thinking and I just wanted to forget everything for a while. I didn't realize it would make you worry so much."
"What-"
"Hayley called and left a message, letting me know you were freaking out. That's why I called you back. And then the conversation felt so...empty. Not like our usual conversations. I thought maybe...it was too late. I'd hurt you enough that you went to Hayley for comfort...and she'd provided it.
"Anyways, that was the first time we had ever ended a phone call without saying 'I love you'," I mumbled. "It hurt."
Josh nodded. "It hurt me, too. I thought you had hung up so you could avoid telling me you loved me, because you were in love with someone else."
I shook my head. "I hadn't realized what had happened until after I'd hung up. I wanted to call you back so badly, to tell you I loved you...but I thought maybe you didn't want to hear that anymore," I lowered my head slightly, avoiding Josh's gaze.
"And that's when the nightmares...?" Josh asked.
"Yeah. That was the first night," I confirmed. A strange look passed over Josh's face, but I couldn't tell exactly what it was.
"What...what exactly happened...in your nightmares?" Josh asked.
"I don't think you want to know," I mumbled. "You'll get upset."
"Em," he persisted. "Please tell me."
I sighed. "Well...it would always start with you and me...you'd be holding me to you, kissing me...and then you'd tighten your grip. And you wouldn't stop tightening...until you were practically crushing me, and I couldn't breathe...and then suddenly, there'd be a red snake where your arms had been. And I'd look up, and you'd be standing there as I choked and writhed in pain, and you'd be laughing. And then suddenly Hayley would be with you, and your hands would be clasped tightly, and she would be laughing, too. Then, just before I felt like I was going to die from being crushed...I'd wake up."
Josh's face was twisted in pain, and I reached a hand out towards his.
"Josh, it's okay."
"Em...I'm so sorry...I didn't know-"
"Look, I said we've already forgiven each other, alright? I love you. No stupid nightmares are going to change that."
He nodded, squeezing my hand. "I love you, too."
I smiled slightly before leaning back and taking a sip of my coffee. "Well, now you know everything. The truth."
Josh nodded again, looking undecided. I furrowed my eyebrows, wondering what was troubling him. "Em, there's something I need to tell you, too." I waited for him to continue, and he swallowed. "I...uh...I was...having nightmares, too."
I felt my mouth drop open in shock. "Y-you what?" I stammered.
"The same night you had your first nightmare...I had mine, as well."
I stared at him for a few seconds, comprehending what he had just told me. "Tell me about them," I said quietly.
"Well...like yours, they'd start off with us together...and then you'd kiss me, and my eyes would close...but when I opened them again...it was a fire. A ring of fire...and then I'd see you standing on the outside, smiling, laughing...calling my name, taunting me. And you'd be with another man." Josh closed his eyes. "And I'd wake up."
I felt like I was being torn apart from the insides. I had caused Josh so much pain. I had acted so selfishly, and it had hurt the one I loved more then anyone else in the world.
"Josh," I choked out. "Josh, I-"
"Don't," he mumbled, opening his eyes and looking at me. "We've forgiven each other, remember?"
I nodded, getting up from my side of the booth and sliding into his side. I wrapped my arms around him, and he in turn wrapped his arms around me. I buried my face in his chest, whispering "I'm sorry" over and over, but quietly enough so he couldn't hear. After a few minutes, I pulled away, wiping tears from my eyes. Josh reached out and brushed some hair from my face.
"Well, we've certainly dug ourselves a pity hole, haven't we?" Josh said, laughing slightly. I giggled and leaned against him.
"I love you," I mumbled. "More then you know."
"Em...come back with me."
"What?" I pulled away, staring at him.
"On tour. Come back with me to New Jersey. Your tour doesn't start until mid October, and my tour will finish the day before my birthday."
I felt a smile work it's way onto my face. "Really? I can come back with you?"
"Of course. The guys will be happy to see you, and Hayley definitely won't object."
I grinned at him, launching into his arms again and squealing. He chuckled.
"So you'll come back with me?"
"Of course!" I exclaimed. "I love you so much."
"I love you, too," he said, and leaned down to kiss me. I pulled away before he could, glancing around the Starbucks to make sure no one was watching us before I moved up and planted a small kiss on his jaw.
"I don't want to risk it," I mumbled, indicating to the few people who were seated around.
"You're right," Josh agreed. "I'll just have to kiss you properly later."
I giggled. "I might just take you up on that, Farro." He laughed, and I smiled in contentment. Finally, everything was going to be alright.
Awwwww, how cheesy. :P

Chapter Four
Brendon's P.O.V
Jazz and I were moving fast. Too fast for my liking...but I guess that we had been going out for a while.
"Amorvida's Emily Maxwell seems to be recovering well from her accident after being spotted with Josh Farro outside a local Chipotle-"
I reached over and switched the TV off, and Jazz turned to me, pouting.
"I was watching that," she complained, and I chuckled, wrapping an arm around her.
"You really want to watch some gossip channel that's gossiping about our friends?" I asked skeptically. "How's Emily doing, anyways? Have you spoken to her?"
"Only once, and it was for about five minutes when she was on her way to some date with her boyfriend. I've spoken to Becky a few times - do you remember Becky?"
"Uh...she's the one who's always randomly hyper, right?"
Jazz giggled, but nodded. "Pretty much, yes. Anyways, I spoke to her, and she says that Em's doing alright."
"That's cool. You know, I haven't seen Em in ages. You should have her over here sometime."
"Yeah, only problem? She lives in Toronto. I can't exactly have her over here."
"Right," I said, frowning. "Well, next time she's in New Jersey, on tour or whatnot, invite her over or something."
"Sure," she replied, just as her phone rang. She leaned towards the table to answer it, pressing the green talk button and holding the phone to her ear.
Jazz's P.O.V
"Hello?" I answered the phone before leaning back against the couch, snuggling into Brendon slightly.
"Jazz!" Emily's cry can be heard from the other side. "I haven't talked to you in ages!"
"Oh my God, Em! Brendon and I were just talking about how we missed you!"
"Well, that's why I called," Emily replied. "You see, I'm going to be in New Jersey in two days. I was wondering if you wanted to hang out?"
"Oh my gosh, yes!" I exclaimed, happy. "You want to swing by in the morning? We can chill at my place for a bit, and then go out."
"Sure," Emily replied. "Is it cool if my friend comes with?"
"Yeah, sure," I said, grinning. "I can't wait to see you!"
"I can't wait, either!" Emily said. "Oh, shit, I have to go," she complained. "Becky wants to use the phone to call the airport. She needs to get some tickets switched up. Now that I'm going to New Jersey, she's going to use my ticket to bring Garrett back to Toronto with her."
"Aww," I cooed. "She sounds like she really likes him."
"She does," Emily agreed. "I think they're great together."
"I want to meet him sometime."
"I'm sure you will," Emily said. "But for now, I have to go! I'll see you in two days!"
"Yes! See you!"
We hung up and I turned to Brendon, a huge grin plastered across my face.
"That was Emily," I explained. "She's coming here in two days!"
"Well, that's oddly coincidental, isn't it?" Brendon asked, laughing. He leaned down and kissed my forehead. "I can tell you're excited."
"Just a little," I winked, and he laughed again before pressing his lips against mine.
Today has been an amazing day. BLEH!!! I was sick today, so I wrote a lot of random shizzzzz. Including this. :)

December 10, 2009Jazzmando.com Review: Bethany & Rufus - 900 MilesUrl: http://jazzmando.com/new/archives/001181.shtml
We are always enchanted by artists who can take an instrument out of predictable context and create a whole new way of looking at its function. This is also significant to mandolinists who seek to push the boundaries of its capabilities, and more traditional roles. We found some great out-of-the box thinking and musical inspiration in this video from minimalists Bethany & Rufus, in their interpretation of the folk classic, Nine Hundred Miles. Bethany Yarrow, daughter of Peter Yarrow of folk legends Peter, Paul & Mary, is joined by ground-breaking cellist Rufus Cappodicia in this enthralling performance. We've enjoyed researching their other CD discography and YouTube entries. We haven't figured out whether to label this "Techno Cello" or "Folk Trance." Nonetheless, it's terrific.

Chapter Three
Jazz's P.O.V
I was going to do it.
I was going to ask Brendon to move in with me.
I mean, we were always on tour with our seperate bands, anyways. So what did it matter if we lived together? Whenever we were both home, he's always be at my place.
"Hey babe," Brendon greeted me as I let him into the house. "I missed you last night."
I snorted and punched his arm lightly. "You're the one who refuses to stay here."
"For good reason."
And that was what worried me. He was always so distant...but yet, he still cared about me.
"Are we going to stand in the doorway all day or can we actually go inside?"
I snapped out of my trance and giggled, ushering him in and closing the door behind me. We moved into the living room and he flopped down onto the couch, before holding his arms open, gesturing for me to sit down, too.
I sat down and he wrapped his arms around me. I snuggled against him, closing my eyes. He kissed the top of my head. It was moments like these when I was positive he had to love me.
"Brendon," I started, not too sure how to word this. I mean, moving in with me would be a big deal.
"Mmm?"
"Do you..." at the last minute, I felt my throat clench, and I changed my question. "Do you love me?"
Brendon's arms stiffened around me, but he didn't say anything for a few minutes. "Why..." he muttered after a while. "Why are you asking me that?"
"I don't know," I replied, moving away from him, to the other end of the couch. "I mean, we've been going out for nine months now...I was just...wondering."
"Look, Jazz," he began, and I felt a wave of rejection wash over me. He was going to say 'no'. I knew it.
"It's okay," I interjected before he could say anything. "I get it."
"No, you don't," he disagreed. He pulled me back to him. "You don't get it at all."
"Then enlighten me."
"I'm scared of moving too fast," he said.
"Moving too fast?" I scoffed. "Did you not hear me? Nine months, Brendon! That is not moving fast!"
"I know, I know," he replied. "I just care about you, Jazz. I don't want to lose you."
"Look, you could have just told me you didn't love me-"
He cut me off by kissing me, hard. "Of course I love you, you silly girl."
I felt a smile explode across my face before I leaned in and kissed him again. "Really?" I asked as we pulled away. He nodded. "I love you, too."
He grinned and kissed me yet again, and I wrapped my arms around his neck, twining my fingers into his hair. He loved me. He loved me.
In my joy of finding out his love, I'd completely forgotten about asking him to move in. I pulled away from him quickly, and he frowned.
"Jazz..." he whined.
"No, I have a question to ask you," I put a finger to his lips.
"Another question?"
"Yes...um..." I trailed off, looking away. "Will you move in with me?"
"Well, that's kind of moving fast," he stated, clearly surprised.
"Please?" I asked. I leaned in and kissed him, moving my lips down to his neck. "For me?"
He gulped and I pulled away, smirking.
"How about we take it slow-"
"Brennnnnnnnnnnndon," I whined.
"-and start with me staying with you whilst I'm here."
I squealed in delight and wrapped my arms around his neck.
"Jesus, who knew you'd get so excited over something like this," Brendon murmured. I giggled. "Meh, I still love you," he shrugged.
I smiled at the words. "I love you, too."
He kissed my forehead and I snuggled against him.
Everything was perfect.

November 25, 2009Feeling As Good As Love [2]
Chapter Two
Brendon's P.O.V
"I'll call you later," I promised Jazz as I headed for the door. "But I have to get back to the hotel."
"I still don't understand why you won't just stay here," she said. "I mean, you're in New Jersey to visit me...why not stay with me?"
"I like hotels," I replied.
"You like me," she retorted. I laughed.
"That's true," I agreed. "But I'm still staying at the hotel, babe." The truth was, I thought that being around Jazz 24/7 would be unhealthy for our relationship. The last time I was in a relationship, it ended because we got sick of being around each other. That's why I was trying to take it slow with Jazz...it was just healthier for us.
"Okay," Jazz said, sighing. "I'll see you tomorrow, I guess."
"Yes, you will," I declared. Jazz stuck her tongue out at me and I laughed, leaning in to kiss her. "I'll call you," I promised.
"Yeah, yeah," she replied. "Bye."
I left her house and headed to the car I was renting, unlocking the door and getting in. I loved Jazz...I was completely and utterly in love with her. But I was worried about moving too fast. I wanted us to last longer then most other couples did. I thought Jazz might be 'the one'.
But I didn't know if she felt the same.
***
Jazz's P.O.V
"I just don't know, Becks," I sighed, clutching the phone closer to my ear. "I don't think he feels the same." I had met Becky through my friend Emily, whom I had toured with on my band's first tour. My band - The Outsiders - had opened for Emily's band, Amorvida. Becky had stayed on the bus with Amorvida for a week during the tour, and the three of us all became close.
"Jazz, he obviously feels the same if you guys have been going out for...how long has it been now?" Becky's voice sounded tired.
"It'll be nine months in a week," I replied.
"Exactly. If he didn't like you, he wouldn't still be going out with you. I mean you guys have known each other for-"
"Years, I know," I cut her off. "But he's always so...distant. Like he's scared of something."
"Maybe he doesn't want to rush. Maybe...he just wants to take it slow."
"Or maybe he wants to break up with me."
"Geez! Em was having these exact same issues about confidence in her relationship with Josh. Why don't you just talk to her about it?"
"Wait, what?" Emily had been dating Josh Farro, guitarist of Paramore, for a while now. But whenever I'd spoken to Emily about it, she'd always told me how perfect he was for her.
"Yeah, she saw pictures of him with Hayley, kissing her-"
"WHAT?!"
"You didn't let me finish!" Becky exclaimed. "He was holding her hand and kissing...oh, crap. I just looked at the clock. It's like, two in the morning here, Jazz. I'm going to bed."
"No, wait! Tell me about Em and-"
But the line went dead, and I pulled the phone away from my ear, sighing. Josh had been kissing Hayley? I shook my head. How could he do such a thing?
I had personally never met Josh. But I knew all about him, not just because I was a huge fan of Paramore, but because Emily literally would never shut up about him whenever we talked. I hadn't seen Em since last fall, nearly a year ago, when we went on tour together, but I spoke to her frequently. The last time I'd spoken to her was only a few days before her accident, and she was telling me about Becky and Garrett from The Maine, who she was certain would be together soon. When Becky called me to tell me about Em's accident, she also told me that she and Garrett were a couple, which made me happy for her.
It also meant that the six of us - Me, Brendon, Emily, Josh, Becky, and Garrett - all needed to meet up some time, and meet each other. Just like I'd never met Josh or Garrett, Becky has never met Brendon. When my band toured with Em's band, the third band on the tour was Panic At The Disco, which is where I first met Brendon. So, of course, Emily had met him, too.
"Ow," I muttered to myself, putting a hand to my forehead. "My head hurts from too much thinking."
The silence of the house gave me shivers as I headed upstairs and to my room. I hated being alone here. I hated being alone in general.
But maybe...I wouldn't have to be alone as much anymore.

November 23, 2009Everything I Ask For (Twelve)Looooooong chapter, hehe.
Chapter Twelve
Becky's P.O.V
Josh and Emily had gone out on their date, and Garrett and I were having a movie night inside my hotel room. I had obviously caught some kind of cold - I couldn't stop sneezing, and Garrett said I had a fever. He'd come in to take care of me, which I thought was sweet.
"What are we going to watch?" Garrett asked, handing me a stack of DVDs. "I grabbed these off the bus. I like them all, so you choose which one you want to watch."
I shrugged and chose the first movie, a comedy I hadn't seen before. Garrett put it into the DVD player and we snuggled back against the couch, Garrett taking a blanket and draping it over the two of us. I leaned my head on his shoulder and smiled. I could get used to this.
Emily's P.O.V
I looked over my menu at the Chipotle that Josh and I were at. We'd only just gotten here, and I already saw people staring at us. It made me feel completely awkward.
"Hello," a blonde girl appeared next to us, holding a notepad and wearing a waitress's uniform. "I'm Tabitha. I'll be your server today. Have you decided what you'd like?"
I glared at her as she smiled and batted her eyelashes at Josh. Back off, girl, I thought to myself. He's mine.
Josh cleared his throat. "Um, yeah, I have. What about you, Em?"
I looked away from Tabitha, smiling at Josh. "Oh, yeah. I'll just have a chicken fajita with a coke."
"All righty," Tabitha scribbled the order down on her notepad before turning to Josh. "And you sir?" she twirled her hair around her finger, and a feeling of jealousy washed over me. She was incredibly pretty.
"Same as her," Josh replied, and Tabitha scowled slightly before nodding and turning away. "Wow, can you believe that?" Josh asked me. I forced a smile before looking down at my hands.
"Uh-oh," Josh said. "What's wrong?"
"Nothing," I replied, not meeting his gaze.
"Aw, come on, you can't lie," Josh told me. "You're blushing, which means you're lying, which means there's something wrong."
"It's nothing," I whined.
"Emmmm," Josh pouted a little.
"She was pretty," I mumbled.
"Was she really? I hadn't noticed. I was too busy marveling at your beauty," Josh replied, quietly. I laughed, meeting Josh's steady gaze.
"Sorry," I said.
"For what?"
"She made me jealous," I explained.
"That's nothing to be sorry about," Josh said. "Anyone would feel protective over this hunk of meat," he flexed his triceps and I snorted and shook my head.
"You're a classic comedian, Farro."
"That's why everyone loves me," he replied. I laughed, tucking a piece of hair behind my ear. Just then, the clicking of heels could be heard as Tabitha appeared with our food.
"Two chicken fajitas and two cokes," she said, practically slamming the plates down. "Anything else?"
Josh glanced at me and I shook my head. "Um, no, that's all," Josh replied. "Thanks."
Tabitha nodded and turned on her heel, obviously annoyed. Josh and I glanced at each other before laughing.
"Man, I'm starving," I exclaimed, pulling my plate towards me. I began to dig in to my fajita, but stopped when I noticed Josh wasn't touching his food.
"You're not eating...?" I motioned to his untouched plate.
"Oh, I find it much more entertaining to watch you destroy your food," Josh replied. "It's feisty, I like it."
I rolled my eyes but slowed down and began to eat my food in a more civilized manner. Josh began to eat, too, and we were silent for ten minutes, simply eating.
"That was delicious," I said when we were finished. I pulled my cell phone out to check the time. "Yikes, it's getting late. It's like 9:30, we should probably get back before the nighttime traffic starts up."
"True," Josh agreed, looking around for our waitress. She appeared by him instantly, still twirling her hair. "Oh, hey," Josh said.
"Hello," she smiled at him. I felt my fists clench.
"We're ready to pay now," Josh said, and Tabitha scowled, but nodded.
"Of course, I'll go get your check," she turned and I rolled my eyes, standing up.
"I have to use the bathroom," I muttered, walking away. I saw Tabitha heading back towards our table, a grin on her face when she realized Josh was alone. I huffed and headed towards the bathroom, washing my hands quickly before returning to our table. Josh sat there, looking very uncomfortable, as Tabitha, who was sitting in my seat, leaned forward and rested her hand on his leg. I heard her say something like "Just one little date", and anger boiled through me.
"Um, what's up?" I asked, not hiding my annoyance. Josh glanced up at me, looking relieved.
"Em!" he exclaimed. I grabbed my bag and turned on my heel, heading out the restaurant. I was mad.
I looked out onto the busy streets and I raised my hand, hailing a cab over. I heard footsteps coming up from behind me.
"Em!" Josh yelled. I ignored him. "Em, come on, please don't tell me you're mad!"
"Well I can't tell you anything then," I replied harshly.
"Are you blaming me for that?" he asked softly, and I felt my heart tear at how sweet his voice was.
"No," I mumbled. "I'm sorry, I just got jealous again," I wiped a tear from my eye.
"Oh, please don't cry!" Josh whispered. "I can go back in there and beat her up if you want?"
I giggled, but shook my head. "Relax, I was just angry, it made me tear up. No need to commit a misdemeanor. Unless that's a felony?"
"I don't know, I didn't take government in high school," Josh replied, and we both laughed. I wrapped my arms around him and hugged him to me, forgetting for a moment that we weren't supposed to let anyone know we were dating. Josh's arms wrapped half-heartedly around me.
"Someone might see us," he muttered.
"I know," I replied, sighing and pulling out of the hug. Josh hailed a cab over and held the door open for me as I slid inside. We headed off in the direction of our hotel, and Josh took my hand in his on the way, making sure it was out of view of the cab driver. I smiled. Even the smallest little things that Josh did just made my day.
Becky's P.O.V
"Garrett, stop," I moaned as he leaned in to try to kiss me. "I'm sick."
"What if I don't care?" he murmured.
"I do," I replied. "I don't want you getting sick."
"Well what if I don't get sick?"
"Not willing to risk it," I said briskly.
"We'll never know unless we try," Garrett persisted. I snorted.
"You make it sound like we're going to do something dirty. I've had Em pester me enough about that, so just-"
"Becky, would you please just shut up and kiss me?"
I laughed, but did as he asked, leaning in and giving him a quick kiss. He pouted as I pulled away.
"That hardly counted as a kiss," he protested. I rolled my eyes.
"I. Am. Sick."
"I. Don't. Care." And with that, Garrett leaned in and captured my lips with his own. I reached a hand up to push him away, but instead, I ended up winding my hands into his hair, pulling him closer to me. I moaned quietly as Garrett pulled on my lip ring with his teeth, and he rolled us over so that he was hovering over me, on top of the bed.
I heard a moan that didn't come from Garrett before I suddenly felt the air being pushed out of my lungs as Garrett crushed me.
"What the fuck?!" I cried out.
"Owww," Garrett muttered.
"Becky? Garrett?" a voice asked. Emily? I looked up to see Josh lying on his back on top of Garrett, Emily straddling his waist.
"What the hell guys?" I asked, trying to gasp for air. "Can't breathe!" I muttered. Emily, Josh, and Garrett quickly scrambled off of me and I took a deep breath, sitting up, next to Garrett.
"Uh, nice to see you too?" Garrett muttered. I felt myself blushing.
"Nice entrance guys," I said quietly. Garrett chuckled.
"Sorry," Josh and Emily said in unison.
"That's okay," Garrett replied, reaching a hand up and smoothing out his hair.
"And just what were you two doing, may I ask?" Emily asked, smirking. I blushed bright red and tried to fix my crooked shirt.
"Uh, nothing," I lied.
"Looks like we're not the only ones to be caught off-guard," Josh said. I glared at him, but Garrett chuckled.
"Okay fine," I admitted after a few minutes. "We're sorry too."
"I accept the apology," Emily said, turning to Josh. "And you, Josh?"
"Ummm," Josh said, pressing his lips together in an attempt to not laugh. After a few seconds, he gave in, bursting into fits of laughter. "Sure why not!"
Garrett and Emily began to laugh, too, and I fell back against the bed, hiding my face in my pillow.
"Well, I guess we all had fun nights, didn't we?" Garrett rested a hand on my leg. Yes...fun indeed.
"Well...I have to use the bathroom," Emily muttered randomly. She moved towards the bathroom, but turned back to Garrett first. "Careful," she warned him. "Don't go sucking off Becky's face and catch what she has the second I turn my back."
I'd never seen Garrett blush the way he did when she said that, and I burst out laughing. Emily grinned and walked into the bathroom. After a few minutes of awkward silence, she came back out.
"Oh, Becky?" she looked at me.
"Yeah?"
"Wanna grab a coffee with me from the café in the lobby?" she looked towards Garrett and Josh. "Ya know...just us girls?"
"Uh...sure?" I replied, not knowing what she wanted to talk to me about. I stood up and put my shoes on. Josh furrowed his eyebrows.
"What am I supposed to do?" he asked.
"Wait," Emily replied, before leaving the room. I giggled at Josh's baffled expression before I followed her out of the door.
***
"So, um, what's all this about?" I asked as Emily and I sat down at a small table in the hotel's café with our cups of coffee.
"Well...I wanted to talk to you," Emily replied, taking the plastic lid off her coffee and blowing on the hot liquid inside.
"About...?" I pressed.
"About something we'd been talking about earlier today."
I tried to think of what we had been talking about earlier that Emily would be bringing up again, but I couldn't think of anything. I stared at her, completely lost.
"About the whole 'crazy' thing," she said.
I felt myself blush a little.
"I'm just...worried about you, Becks. I mean...you and Garrett...are being careful...right?"
My mouth dropped open in shock. "Of course, Em! Geez! You know I...I'm not one of those girls who just...gives it away like it's nothing."
"I know, Becky. I just wanted to check."
"Well, you and Josh seemed to be getting pretty close earlier..." I trailed off, a little embarrassed that Emily and I were even discussing this.
"I would have stopped it before we got anywhere," Emily said simply. I raised an eyebrow. "What?" she asked.
"Josh didn't look like he wanted to stop it," I muttered. Emily's cheeks turned pink.
"I want to wait for marriage, Becky," she said quietly. "And Josh wouldn't pressure me into anything."
"He really cares about you," I agreed. She looked up at me, smiling.
"Garrett really cares about you," she said. I grinned back at her, focusing on my coffee mug.
I certainly hoped he really cared about me. Because I know I really cared about him.

November 18, 2009Feeling As Good As Love [1]SURPRISE, JAZZ!!! :) This is for you...because you are so amazing. And Becky and I each have fics about ourselves, so I thought...why not? :P
Chapter One
Jazz's P.O.V
"Fuck."
I giggled at my boyfriend, Brendon Urie, and his expression as he stares at the sink faucet. I had called him, telling him it was broken, and he insisted on coming over and fixing it for me before I could call a plumber.
"Jazz...I'm not too sure how to fix this," Brendon says, looking up at me with an apologetic expression. "I'm sorry."
"It's okay," I replied. "I'll just call someone to come fix it."
"Then you have to pay money," Brendon said. "I could have just as easily fixed it."
"Are you trying to get me upset with the fact that you couldn't fix it?" I asked. "Because it ain't working," I told him.
"Yeah, yeah," he replied, stepping away from the sink and wrapping his arms around my waist. "You love me, you know it."
I fidgeted slightly. Even though Brendon and I had been dating for nearly nine months, neither of us had ever said 'I love you'. I knew I loved him, and I was pretty sure he felt the same about me, but neither of us wanted to be the first one to say it.
"Ah, well. Nothing I can do," Brendon said, staring at the faucet with an angry expression on his face.
"Aw, don't get mad at my sink, babe. It's not the end of the world."
"Right," he took my hand and pulled me into the family room of my house. I was living here on my own, after my roommate left to live in Europe. I was thinking about asking Brendon if he wanted to move in with me...but I wasn't too sure.
"What are we going to do?" I asked him.
"We are going to watch a movie...I think," he stared at the mess of wires and cables that was my new TV. "Crap, you have too many things that aren't working in your house."
"It's not my fault!" I whined. "When Susan went to Europe, she took her TV with her, so I had to buy a new one. It cost a crap load of money, too."
"Let me guess, you're going to call someone to come and hook it up for you?"
I blushed. "You know I'm a mess when it comes to cables."
"Yeah, I know all right," Brendon agreed. "Remember when you tried to hook up your toaster? You didn't even realize you had to plug it in. You called me, complaining that your toast wasn't toasting, and the freaking machine wasn't even on!"
"Shut-up!" I cried, my blush deepening. After Brendon stopped laughing, I sighed. "I swear, I have my blonde moments."
"Yes you do," he said, and I punched him lightly. He laughed again. "You want me to hook your TV up? That is something I know how to do."
"Sure, sure," I replied, plopping down on my couch. "I'll...uh...."
"Watch?" Brendon finished. I giggled and nodded. "Sounds good," he said. "I'll see if I can figure this out."
It took him nearly an hour to hook up my TV, new sound system, and cable, and then connect it all to one remote. When he was done, he fell back against the couch next to me and sighed.
"I am never hooking up an HD TV again," he moaned. I laughed.
"How about lunch?" I suggested. "We can eat in here and watch a movie or whatever."
"Please," he mumbled, starting to stand up. I stopped him.
"You relax. I owe you," I said.
"Thanks, babe," he leaned over and kissed me lightly. I smiled at him before getting up and heading into the kitchen.
I loved Brendon, I really did...what I wasn't sure about...was if he loved me. This story will tie in with EIAF, SPJTMH, and YATMA. I'll take care of the tying in. You just read and enjoy. :)
