Radiohead want you to remix 'Nude'

Radiohead, iTunes and Garageband are offering fans the opportunity to remix their latest single.

Still antsy about those Radiohead West Coast tour dates? Me too. The group has made life a little more exciting for fans across the globe by inviting them to remix Radiohead's latest single, "Nude." All you have to do is purchase the separate parts of the song, or "stems" as they are referred to, from iTunes. The available stems are bass, voice, guitar, strings/fx, and drums. I'm thinking of taking out the strings and quadrupling the drums.

Fans who buy all five stems during the first week will be sent an access code to a GarageBand file, which can be opened in GarageBand or Logic. If you're a PC person don't fret, all of the stems are available in iTunes Plus and compatible with many other music software platforms.

Here's the payoff: When you're done go and upload your final mixes to radioheadremix.com. Here, everyone will be able to listen to your take on "Nude." Fans will also be able to vote for their favorite remix, ending May 1, and create a widget on your own Web site, Facebook, or MySpace page that allows votes to be cast in your favor. What are you waiting for?

"Nude" is available now in the U.K. on 7", CD, and download.
