Best Breakthrough Female: Rachel McAdams vs. Kat Dennings
In 2005 being the mean girl was so in, as we saw by Rachel McAdams in Mean Girls. 4 years later the bitchy girls are still around, but in 2009 girls are just a bit nicer and a bit more appreciated for it. We think Kat Dennings will win the best breakthrough female award for her role in Nick and Noras, certainly not because the movie deserves to win for anything, but because just like we loved dorks in 2008, we love emo, punkish girls with good taste in music in 2009. Kat should win right?
