Rescued By Patrick Stump: A Day On The Set Of "What A Catch, Donnie"

By now many of you have read Richard's recount of our day as extras in the Fall Out Boy music video shoot.

Richard had never been to a music video shoot before, but I have. Maybe I should've told him there are often long, long hours involved. But then he would've said no and would not have gotten to fake-party with Brendon Urie, which was probably his secret dream come true.

ANYWAY. So 40-some FOB fans gathered in all black clothing, as directed, at this port in San Pedro. We basically waited around for a few hours, I got sunburned, I overhead some peculiar fanatical conversations, and Nicole came over every once in awhile to keep me entertained. Andy Hurley was lurking and taking panoramic pics, then came over and chatted with some of us. Read more...

Thats A Wrap: Fall Out Boy Music Video Shoot Today...

Today Richard and I spent all day being extras in the "What A Catch, Donnie" music video shoot.

We got there at 1:30 and basically baked in the sun for a few hours (I have lobster arms, ahhh!) and then we went ON A BOAT!

I will blog some details tomorrow (without giving the whole concept away, in case anyone at the label is making concerned face at this blog right now).

For now, please imagine a scene where Brendon Urie attempts to get on the boat, falls in the water, and then upon successfully boarding the boat yells "YO THIS SHIT JUST GOT REAL!"

LULZ.

Until tomorrow, please enjoy this lurker pic that Rich took while we were all hiding on the boat together.

xo

"I'm on a boat, I'm on a boat, take a good hard look cause I'm sailing on a boat"

Yesterday was my first day off from work, in what seems, quite some time. Lloyd and I had decided to meet up and he chose to take me to Brighton for the day for some shopping. We'd already seen eachother the night before, when he'd agreed to letting me do his eyebrows (long story short; his eyebrows got shaved, never grew back properly).

(Please excuse my face, I had been up since 2.30am)

Lloyd arrived at mine for 10.30am, and he drove into the city where we arrived at about 11am (traffic was severe in certain places). We were walking around for a while, visited all my old friends at Boots (where I transefered from for Benefit Cosmetics), then went to grab some lunch. When we'd been sat down for a while we checked out the time, "oh my god, it's already half one! Where's all the time gone?" I guess you lose track when you're having so much fun. We ate at Pablo's, I had a margarita and a coke, and Lloyed had carbonara and a coke. He refused to let me pay as he's always telling me it's the "right thing for a guy to do". I love it, but I'm pretty independent, so I bullied him into letting me pay for cinema and dinner last week!

After shopping around a bit more and spending a total of £155 (on a cardigan, sterling silver eagle necklace, Silverstein album, Metallica album, "the Wrestler" dvd, bubble bath, Japanese candy, converse sneakers, swallow cardigan, No7 nail polish and a Mac eyeshadow. I got 35 scene points***), we decided to head for the beach; afterall it was a beautiful day out and there was no point wasting it by being sat inside! We sprawled out on the pebbles for a while and just chatted about eachother's past, it was some deep shit but I enjoyed it very much so. We then tried to make a "pebble tower", completelyy failed, and headed for the pier.

Once on the pier, Lloyd decided he wanted to win me something on the claw machine, I agreed that he could attempt this on the condition that I could do the same for him. £2 and six attempts later, and Lloyd recieved a Yoda from me. He was getting majourly frustrated as none of the machines he tried would even pick up any of the prizes. I spotted a Hello Kitty machine; £16 and fourty-eight attemts later, and Lloyd won me a Hello Kitty plush. I love it. :)

After leaving the game arcades we decided to just stroll along the pier, recently we've been listening to a lot of "The Lonely Island", and spotted a boat. So we decided to find every boat ride on the pier, and take pictures on them. "I'm on a boat motherf***er don't you ever forget!" It resulted in me asking Micheal an arcade supervisior, how many boat rides were on the pier in total. One strange look, two smidgens of confusion and a few explinations later and I had my answer; four.

After noticing that is was 5.30pm, we decided to head back to mine, so I could do some driving and show Lloyd the mission  I have to work every morning (it's fine when you're driving at 3am for a 5am start, but it gets harder as the day goes on). I think he was shocked and impressed that I remember it as the large amounts of roundabouts make it hard to remember where exactly you're heading. We then went and got some grub, sat in my car and ate it, then headed home, where we departed from eachother at 8.30pm. It really didn't feel like I had spent ten hours with him. I had such a wonderful day.

I'm not sure when I'm next seeing him, hopefully sometime next week though.

CHASING AMEE-Warped Tour 09

Dingers here..aka CHASING AMEE, The Battle of the Bands competition has passed us by for 2 years in a row now and each time we have not had a complete lineup do to uncommited people. We've toughed it out and now we are good to go and this train is full speed ahead. We've come a long way in five months. Our first performance was for the AAR (All-American Rejects for the noobz), we snagged a spot on the National Tv show Disband, got the thumbs up, opened for Universal label acts like Shiloh and The Artist Life, Are in the works of shooting a music video next month, planning a parking lot tour (Yes, we will be going on tour and playing parking lots at big shows..crazy we know), released our first EP "Wet Dreams & Drama Queens", and some of the craziest times. One way or another we told ourselves we would play Warped Tour this year. If it means winning the Battle of the Bands competition then thats one more thing to add to our accomplishement list for the year, or if it means playing the parking lot with the risk of getting kicked out during our first song then we will do it. We gotta build our own path and nothings going to stop us. Help us out and vote for us, talk to us, come see us, love us, and we will return the favour somehow..we promise.

Just go here to vote:
