Paul Thomas Anderson to direct horror film
After the success of his widely-celebrated There Will Be Blood, everyone is wondering what director Paul Thomas Anderson will tackle next. Rumor is that he'll branch out to the horror genre for his next feature. Do you think the director of Magnolia and Punch Drunk Love can make a solid horror flick?
I'll explain exactly why I want to see this happen. I'm not the biggest PTA fan; Boogie Nights is great. Magnolia annoys me, but I still recognize what a monumental achievement that film is. I still haven't seen Punch Drunk Love. (Is it true it's the only Adam Sandler role that's actually good???)
In many ways, There Will Be Blood was a complete genre change for Anderson. At heart, it's a sprawling western and something I never expected the man to direct. (And you all know how I feel about that movie.)
So, reading the news that Anderson may possibly do a horror film next is refreshing. Is it possible that he could change the genre? Add something intelligent and meaningful?
I look forward to whatever Paul Thomas Anderson has planned.

i only saw punch drunk love once and it was pretty good. adam sandler surprised me. i think i have to watch it again though.
it would be nice to see an intelligent, well made horror film i suppose.
Horror & comedy isn't that different; it's all about timing. Maybe Paul Thomas will pull it of; if not there is always the Razzies.
Oh come on! How can you hate Adam Sandler? lolz...I can see how he'd be seriously annoying if you don't have a completely stupid sense of humor...which I have. What do you find annoying about him though?
Yep, those are some of the many reasons.
Well, I am a little mad at him, because I went to Click expecting to see something hilarious and lighthearted and ended up crying my eyes out! Seriously, that movie was NOT advertised as being what it was...I was duped and it was mean...but I'm cool with the stupid voices, and the song for 50 first dates has made me giggle many times...I loved him in Big Daddy though, that was the sweetest movie ever...with Adam Sandler in it...
