Heritage

This is my little ode to my Scottish heritage. My Mom's parents immigrated here from Scotland in the late 1920's. They met here in the states thru mutual friends. They would have never met in Scotland. My Grandfather grew up in Arbroath in the tenements there. My Grandmother grew up in, I think, in the Glasgow area to rather well off parents. My Mom likes to get my siblings and I gifts for X-mas pertaining to our Scottish roots. The crest and the tartan scarf are our family clan colors and symbol. And when I'm out and about perusing antique stores I always look for items to add to my Scottish collection!

That is so nice to have those mementos from your Scottish heritage......I'm also part Scottish on my mothers side I remember my great aunt Clooney [that was her first name] I was young when she passed away but she was laid out in her coffin in the dining room of her apartment in NYC. That's what they did back then !!!! I have a very old doll from Scotland in her plaids also : )
