Hell's Kitchen - The Season Finale

I don't watch too much TV.  However, there is one show that I have been obsessed with since I first stumbled upon the 4th episode of Season 1.

That show is called Hell's Kitchen.  It air on FOX and takes 12 aspiring chefs from all experience levels and puts them in world famous chef Gordon Ramsay' kitchen.

The 12 competitors are divided into 2 teams and must compete against each other weekly in a series of cooking challenges.  The winning team for a challenge gets a special reward, while the others receive an awful punishment.  The second half of each show finds both teams rushing to successful serve a packed restaurant with no screw ups.  The team with the better overall service wins for that night.  Ramsay elects someone from the losing team to nominate of two of their teammates to get sent home.  Each person nominated gets a final chance to tell Ramsay why they deserve to stay in Hell's Kitchen.  Once the decision is made, the loser of the two is immediately sent home.

Season 3 has been incredible.  After a few weeks of competition, Bonnie and Rock are the only two aspiring chefs left in Hell's Kitchen.  Both have completely different experiences in the kitchen.  I am routing for RockBonnie is never sure of herself and constantly talks about how surprised she is that she hasn't been sent home.  That lack of confidence can cause problems if she wins the grand prize (running your own restaurant in Las Vegas) Rock has an attitude problem at times but he knows what he's doing in the kitchen.  He's creative, assertive and has a positive outlook on his spot in the competition thus far.  Team Rock!  The season finale is next Monday at 9pm on FOX.

You will or will not enjoy this show based on your sense of humor.  Ramsay is a monster in the kitchen, constantly screaming and swearing at the aspiring chefs.  Think Simon from American Idol...but in the kitchen and much nastier.  Realistically he's trying to use scare tactics to make them work harder, leaving many of them crying and terrified while trying to complete a service.  He's called them everything from "Barbie" to "fat cow" and even "donkeys."  You have to see it to believe it!
