But, to prevent your mom from telling you that you have raccoon eyes, pay close attention to the women in the music business who don't cake on the black eyeliner and still make their eyes pop. September 17, 2009Maybe this Abbey Dawn showcase should of had some rethinking;Credit to Breesays on the photos
Okay so, after seeing the new Abbey Dawn collection. I have to say, I was quite dissapointed. Hell, I was a little dissapointed in Avril Lavinge. I mean, some of the things I've seen her wear are pretty cute. I expected this line to be really cute. I mean, I clicked on the topic when I got home. Saw the first picture and I expected some really cute stuff. But further into the gallery, I went from this =] to this =/. I really don't know. I can pick out a few things that are pretty cute. But most of the things looked pretty cheap & tacky in my opinion. Let alone, not so fresh. I don't know, maybe it was just how the showcase was set up. A lot of the comment were quite negative. If the models were dressed differently, I would probably give in a little. Some outfits stood out to me. Like these...
I don't really know what color that shirt is. It looks like its yellow. Or maybe a light green. But the purse is too loud and its clashing with the color of the top. In my opinion, thats not good. I'm not even sure if the purse is part of the collection. Instead of using this cheap-looking purse, maybe this will look better...
Okay so, this outfit is screaming tacky & cheep. Starting from top to bottom, I would say the hat needs to go. Nuff said. I'm guessing the shirt is part of the line. But whatever the belt thing is, has to go. It looks like someone took a tie and used it as a belt. It dosen't look very appealing. Nor do the boots with this. I think this would look appealing if... Instead of the plain black sweater:
The lepoard hoodie by Abbey Dawn could work or this Grey Zebra Striped hoodie from www.altwearuk.com. I think you could be more focused on the hoodies than the shirt, but they both go great together. Instead of the tie belt:
Instead of the odd tie belt, maybe a sequin blet would be more appealing. Avril has quite a girl side nowadays. And I think she has a thing for shiny, sparkling things. I think sequins will definately give off the girliness. If I had to choose one of these belts with the outfit, I would say the black one. I can't really decide what goes with light pink. Instead of the hat:
This fedora from Hot Topic would look much better.
If you want to stay on my good side, don't ever wear pink & purple around me. I CANNOT even stress on how much the two colors together look tacky. Instead of the pink shirt:
This cute shirt from Hot Topic would look hella cute. :3
Instead of the pink necklace:
This studded necklace from Abbey Dawn wouldn't look too shabby at all.
This outfit isn't half bad at all. The only thing that should be changed is the "doll socks". Instead of the "Doll Socks":
These lace tights will give the outfit a classy touch.
This outfit to me is completly boring. Plain blue denim is just an insult when it vcomes to fun pattern shirts like that. Instead of the blue denim:
These zipper skinny jeans from Hot Topic will be more complimenting.
Now don't even get me wrong, I love Avril Lavinge. I think her style is really cute. Is just her showcase for this collection dissapointed me and it received a lot of negative comments. I think I have to blame the setup of outfits for negative attention. All I'm saying is that it could of used a little bit of tweaking. Abbey Dawn isn't even that bad either. Just a few things here and there to throw in with an outfit. Now that I'm speaking of runways, I'm excited about Gwen Stefani's new L.A.M.B collection.
The acid washed jeans are something that I'm excited about. =]

September 13, 2009"Its a Nice Day for a White Wedding"Apologies for any updates lately. I've been so busy with so much. School is getting tricky. But I know I can manage it. I'm on the sick side and all I wanna do is be lazy. Went to a Greek wedding yesterday. Those things are very religious, but then again...what wedding isn't? Or just completley isn't? The only thing I can think of is Vegas Weddings. I always thought those were interesting. I don't want a traditional wedding. Well, I do...just not too traditional. I want my fathter to give me away just maybe almost halfway down the isle. I guess to show that I can be an independant person. I definately do not want to get married in a church. Like I just said, I'm not very religious. Just enough to get married. I want everything to be white. Even my bridesmaid dresses. White flowers, White drapes, Vanilla Candles. The guys can wear black tuxes and white vests, ties and those little pin things. I can't remember the name of those things. If anyone knows what they're called, please let me know!!! The reception was the best part of the night. It started off with greek music, then with some Micheal Jackson, Aerosmith, Lady GaGa. I requested GaGa and Gwen Stefani. Sadly the DJ didn't have any Gwen Stefani. How sad. A DJ should at least have "Hollaback Girl" with them. I always thought ab out DJ-ing for a club once. I wonder if its hard. Later that night, I requested two Madonna songs. "Jump" & "Papa Don't Preach". I looovveee Madonna. But when Papa Don't preach came on, my Mom Started cryng. She told me this was the song she listened to over and over when she found out she was pregnant with me. It made my mom think of my grandpa. I felt kinda warm when she told me something like that. My mom & I have had problems. Many problems. I really didn't know what to think. I didn't know if she was just being dramatic because she was drunk or really meant it. I know it sounds pretty harsh. But, nobody knows my mom as well as I do. And its hard to explain most things when it comes to her.
Heres a picture of us before going. I have just realized that I have a very round face and it should be covered more often. It just looks weird to me.
I've been sick for a little while. I hate being sick. I just don't feel like myself at all and don't even feel like doing anything at all. I'm not even sure if I want to go to school tomorrow. When I woke up today, I felt like someone was stabbing the back of my head. I didn't know if I was feeling like that if it was because I had a little champagene, loud music or just being really sick. Today really wasn't that easy anyways. Felt really run down and just bleh. I've now decided I want to write about fashion and stuff on here. I know many people are doing it on here. But I really can't help to express my love for fashion. I was also thinking about sharing my designs on here! I make some in my spare time. Sometimes I just doodles random characters.
The Fashion Picks: Sequins
I'm completey in love with anything that has to do with sequins at the moment. I prefer the black the most. It just has this nighttime sparkle to it. Or just some sort of thing that just really reels me in. Its just one of those thing where I really love it for some unknown reason. Must be one of my crazy phases. The silver/white ones reminds me of disco balls. If I could find a top that had silver/white sewuins, I could look like a disco ball! Right now, I'm really wanting the black on black sequin converse. If anyone gets me those for X-Mas, I'll love you forever!!!
Black Tights & Black Heels
Don't really know what it is about me and tights. I like tights. I really like black tights and nude fishnets. They're very simple, yet stunning in my opinion. I really like paring them with button up shirts & dress shorts, dresses and jackets. Lately I want to find purple plaid pants. Parachute pants and Skinny Jean. Its really hot to me right now and you would see me rocking them almost all the time. What whould be sexy is wearing some sort of boot with the pants and add some studded suspenders from Tourcrush. I saw sequin suspenders and wanted to get them so badly!!! White,Black&Purple ones too!!! I even found a silver sequined bow. Something I could possibly add to my awesome homecoming pink dream outift. The dress isn't going to be pink ;]. Its a surprise. I really wish I could get over this stupid cold. Also find more things to talk about in these journals. I got rid of my Myspace, so I don't know what else to do in my freetime. I think I should talk about music&fashion more. In fact, I will. Love&Sequins- <3 Livee

September 12, 2009Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen serve drinks at FNO.September 10th,2009 was pretty much the best day ever! Not only did i start my internship at Allure Magazine, but so was the start of Fashion Week and the day that every designer and fashion student/or anyone who knew, was waiting for.
Now i am aware that many of you have no idea what this event meant, so no worries, let me explain it to you. Explain: Fashion Night Out was on September 10th, on this day the main goal was to bring back the economy by shopping and enjoying it. Some might say a way to celebrate Fashion and it's history. Vogue and CFDA (which is fancy for [Council of Fashion Designers of America]) got together to create the day. The event: Everywhere, they tired to do it global. New York, United Kingdom, Greece, Italy, Russia, France Brazil, India, Spain, China, Germany, Japan, and Taiwan Quote: "America’s fashion capital, New York City. Next only to finance, fashion is the second-largest sector of industry in New York City—the headquarters of more than 800 fashion companies employing 175,000 people and generating $10 billion in total wages. At City Hall’s May 20 press conference to announce Fashion’s Night Out, Vera Wang said, "To put it bluntly, if people don’t shop, people lose their jobs." Video:
Hope that this made you understand, why that day was really special to me, and to be 100% honest what made me smile was to see people enjoying themselves while shopping. Now for some photos: [Note these are not my photos, my phone didnt have the best look, so the new york mag will just do]

September 7, 2009my bitching about the wmhc got people riled up so let me show you what real heros are---4 people who fill my heart with joySo I was bitched at a few times by mcr fans-- mainly ones who believe alicia simmons is the god of the universe and that I'm a "hater" and that I need to get a life. One person even tried to judge and say that I hate every single MCR gf and honestly I cant even name them all nor wish to look them up. I have nothing against any mcr gfs and if you asked me to identify them I wouldnt even be able too.
Its just this. I dislike how people worship certain indivituals just because they know somebody then kiss there ass. Then people who try to pull the "Dont hate me just because I know someone famous" or something card and stir up all this shit. I think people who deal with hatemail more matuely are heros. the real "worlds most hated crew" Isnt them. nobody knows them I forgot most of there names even. So since people were so quick to judge me and what I like let me show you 4 people who I feel deserve actual credit. people who I actually look up to so maybe itll help people understand why I look at things the way I do.
BUDDY NIELSEN--- He is an honest down to earth person. Ive met him once before and seen him multiple times and every times been a religious experiance. he looks at things at a much different perspective. He speaks his mind reguardless of what peope think. Some people think hes an asshole cause he trash talked brokencyde. the only reason why people took it so seriously is because its true. he respects artists who work hard to develop a concept for a song. Hes also spoke out against internet fighting about jeffree star and that guy from metro station. he thinks internet drama is stupid and getting all worked up over what people say about you thats not to your face is also dumb. Hes intelligent as well.
even though her solo music sucks I look up to her because she works hard and she actually has broken boundaries for women in the music industry. shes been touring, making music, and being a responsible mother. this is a women who has broken boundaries in the industry not a hair dresser or some one time fill in bassist for a shitty emo band.
Beth ditto she puts up with homophobes. being openly gay and proudly overweight. she deals ith ridicule everyday. she is the lead singer of a band called the gossip.
SLam Mastic-- shes another honest person that has done many great things at a young age. she WAS lead singer of the band HYPERDRIVE. and now creates her own solo music. I believe she is the greatest creative force to have ever existed. shes written over 200 songs this summer alone for her debut solo album she also promotes bands and started a thing called the FuckCuttingCrew to help the fight against suicide. she has amazing artwork as well. She is criticized for being "nutty".
those people are real people who have broken boundaries and have the world against them sometimes. not the wmhc the wmhc dont have anything on those 4 people.
thanks for reading

August 6, 2009No Doubt @ Santa Barbara BowlI kind of blow at writing show reviews--the SoCal girl in me just wants to go dude. DUDE! And that should be sum it all up just perfectly. Retro Love- Painted FacesOh honeycakes, have you ever been clicking through channels, or flipping through a magazine at the doctor's, and thought "Gosh, there is not a single lady who looks anything like me!" No red lipstick, no rouge, cat eyes, filled-in brows, or delicious cheek-grazing lashes? Where's all the glamour gone?! Not to worry girls, here are a few bodacious babes who are bringing classic style back with their gorgeous glittering face-paints. I'll also give you a sample of products that can be used to recreate their looks.
Signature Red Lips:
Gwen Stefani's been touting all kinds of styles since she got in with No Doubt. Lately she's been sticking with black cat eyes, platinum locks, and her now signature red lips. Products: MAC Pro LipMix in Crimson, MAC Lip Pencil in Cherry, Guerlain Kiss Kiss Lipstick in Exces de Rouge
Kat Von D is the the tattooed pinup queen. While her lips in this picture are an orangey-red, her signature has long been a sultry dark red. Products: Too Faced Lip of Luxury in Drop Dead Red, L'Oreal Crayon Petite from the Burgundys selection *Pinup trick: Instead of using your pencil only to outline, fill in your lips with it except for the middle. Dab in the lipstick, and add a little gloss in the middle as well for plumper looking lips! I recommend Bare Escentuals Buxom Lips in Krystal or Betty.
Signature Cat Eyes:
Say what you like, Angelina Jolie is always, always in tiny cat eye's when she goes out out. Perfectly sultry, expecially paired with full dark lashes.
Maybe not the one that launched it into the mainstream (that was earlier), Brigitte Bardot has definitely become one with her eyeliner! I have never seen a picture of her without it (indeed, if you find one, let me know).
Products: Revlon ColorStay Liquid Liner, Urban Decay 24/7 Glide-On Eye Pencil in Zero (for a solid creamy look), Kat Von D Autograph Eyeliner in Black Metal Love (for deep black with sparkles), Urban Decay Heavy Metal Glitter Liner (for major color and sparkle)
Signature Big Lashes:
Twiggy had something major going on in the ocular department, but can you imagine her baby blues without her full black lashes framing them? *Don't worry about trying Latisse or feeling inadequate. Sometimes you've got to fake it to make it!
Lady Gaga may be into a futuristic hyper-glam look, but her look has it's origins in the swingin' sixties. So does her love of giant fluttery lashes.
For some high-powered glamour- Products (fakies): ANYTHING by Shu Uemura, Make Up Forever Eyelashes-Strip (for the largest selection, 108-Allison, 110-Alexandra, 120-Didi, 126-Tamy, 115-Erin are my favorites), Illamasqua 011, If you want to stick with your own guns- Products (mascaras): Benefit Cosmetics BADgal Lash Mascara (I adore it)), AVON superSHOCK mascara in Black Noir (for nicely seperated and long lashes), Dior DiorShow Black Out Waterproof Mascara, Urban Decay Big Fatty Colored Mascara (comes in five pretty similar colors, but gives insane volume)
*If you want to keep your pouts perfect and your lashes firmly attatched, here are a few more items you might want to get. Shu Uemura Lash Repair: An invisible overnight treatment that helps strengthen eyelashes against future damage. Use it as a primer before your mascara for superfull lashes too! Dior Addict Lip Glow: Is an SPF 10 lip balm that also uses your lip's natural color to create a shade uniquely yours. DuWop Prime Venom: A matte lip balm that conditions while also able to act as a primer. Is long lasting and famous for it's blend of essential oils. Floods your lips with color and fills in lines that can keep your color from staying on perfectly smoothly.
-All products (except Shu Uemura Lash Repair, Dior Addict Lip Glow, and the 120-Didi) used and approved by your guide to all that loves retro, Lila Grimm
