October 15, 2009hyvää iltaaGood Evening (or whatever time it is by you... as it's actually midnight here) Everyone,
I'm laying here in bed feeling a bit stressed out. I'm interviewing/photographing Lacuna Coil and QuietDrive tomorrow, at TWO DIFFERENT CONCERTS!! I'm going to be going back and forth... I'm hoping I'll have a chance to check out The Higher(i love them!) and All That Remains( not a fan but i do have one of their cd's.. but i only bought it because it's the one that Matt played on before he left atr for cky) as well tomorrow.. But probably not depending on what times Lacuna and QD play, plus the re-entry policies(usually a press pass gives you the right to come and go). Today I pretty much relaxed. Though i've been hit with a dilemma, in the fact that Shawna can't go to WC with me, so I don't know what I'm going to do about my scheduled interview with CKY on the 30th. I really don't want to have to cancel. AHH.. I have so many interviews/photo passes scheduled, aside from tomorrow.. I've got Anarbor and Stray Light Run on the 24th, CKY on the 30th, Drive A on Nov 9th, From First To Last on Nov 10th, and Gwar Nov 14th! Send me questions!!! I'm really bummed out.. I just saw Lady Gaga's tour date listing on FaceBook, she'd not playing phoenix! I might just have to go to her Los Angeles or NYC shows instead. OH BIG NEWS!!!! RockstarBaby.net and WeDontBuyYourMerch.com are merging. It will now be RockstarBaby.net: We Don't Buy Your Merch... Kayla (the owner of WDBYM) and I agreed RSB's URL should be kept as the main one, as it's been around longer. It's going to be more of a Online Magazine format. All of the videos in the Youtube Channel are being re-edited, and the web site's new layout is going to be amazing. The full relaunch should be at the end of the month. Moving on... I'm still really nervous for my skate competition on saturday. I'll probably film my run and stuff for one of my little projects I'm working on. If I have to cancel my one out of state interview.... I am srsly going on a huge spending spree at the brand new Barney's New York store thats opening here in Scottsdale this week. I've really not bought much clothing this year.. It's time to splurge... Hrrmm what else is going in my life right now... My 20th birthday isn't until February, BUT I'm already planning the party. I'm looking into local night clubs to rent, and I've already started looking into booking a band to play the party.. I'm thinking a "death(metal) to my teens" theme. haha. XOXO, ps: pick me out a new temporary user name thingie to replace Viva La Sam(antha) pps: my subject line means "good evening" in Finnish.

July 2, 2009Urungus claims victory over Tracy Smother!
Urungus grabs victory - chokes Tracy Smother the F out! In an event asinine yet sublime, GWAR lead singer Oderus Urungus has claimed victory over world-famous wrestler Tracy Smothers in a match held last week at Schoenbaum Amphitheater in Charleston, W. Virginia. “It wasn't too hard...I just grabbed his neck, and choked. His eyeballs popped out of his skull. End of story,” said the well-hung shock-rocker. Smothers corpse was quickly re-animated by the necrotic power of Oderus, and the two pledged to continue to wage their war as long as people “gave them money for it”. “This is huge in Czechoslovakia,” said the still-bleeding Smothers. There has been no word on the re-match. Oderus also recently appeared on Fox News’ late-night show, “Red Eye,” as their “Interplanetary Correspondent.” The footage is available here: http://www.foxnews.com/search-results/m/23172690/interplanetary-correspondent.htm#q=oderus. The world continues to count down to the release of GWAR’s new album, Lust In Space, and the beginning of their 2-year long 25th Anniversary tour, both coming on August 18th! http://www.myspace.com/gwarofficial

June 22, 2009GWAR celebrates 25th anniversary and new album release!
Gwar celebrates 25th anniversary and escape Earth with new album “Lust In Space” due August 18th
SINGER ODERUS ORUNGUS TO MAKE 2ND APPEARANCE ON FOX NEWS’ “RED EYE”
Intergalactic shock rockers GWAR are back with a brand-new album, Lust In Space¸ just in time to celebrate their 25th Anniversary as a band. The Scumdogs of the Universe are particularly thrilled this time around as they have finally escaped the seething, filthy mudball that is Earth! GWAR will also be triumphantly returning to Metal Blade Records for the release of Lust In Space, due August 18.
The band will also be terrorizing the airwaves once again, appearing on Fox News’ late-night show, “Red Eye,” on Monday, June 22.
Quoth GWAR's lead singer Oderus Urungus, “The lead-up to the release of Lust in Space, GWAR's return to Metal Blade, continues to grow in size and fury...on Monday, June 22, GWAR's lead singer, ME, Oderus Urungus, shall re-appear on Fox News’ late-night hit news show, RED EYE. My first time on the show was a great success. Millions of emails came in, and even though I wrote the great majority of them, they still asked me back! The fools! I am hoping to use my status as an intergalactic celebrity (and my ability to travel the cosmos) to turn a revealing light on some of our universe's more unsavory secrets...so tune in to Oderus and GWAR on Fox News’ RED EYE, hosted by the delightfully miniature Greg Gutfeld on Monday, June 22 at 3:00AM EST!”
Also, on Wednesday, June 24th, the Earth will tremble with the colossal forces to be unleashed when Oderus Urungus, lead singer of the galaxies’ most dangerous band, GWAR, meets Tracy Smothers of IWA East Coast Wrestling, known large and hairy person, in a no-holds-barred wrestling match of titanic proportion!
Quoteth Oderus, “I have no idea how I got roped into this one. I guess someone is making money off it. No matter! I will be there, with bells on, and this Tracy Smothers so-and-so is going to find out just what it's like to go toe-to toe with an intergalactic god! I just hope he shaves his armpits first.”
The “Loser Leaves Earth” match will be part of the IWA East Coast Wrestling Event, “Pondo’s Big Ass Birthday Bash” held at Schoenbaum Amphitheater in Coonskin Park, Charleston, WV, on June 24th
“Hell, that makes me want to lose!” said Oderus, right before burying his Cuttlefish in a jar of stewed bloodworms.
GWAR's two-year long 25th Anniversary starts August 18th, when their new album, Lust In Space, mother fucking drops!

June 10, 2009GWAR appears on Fox News
GWAR appears on Fox News, descend upon Fangoria Horror Con
This past weekend saw the Big Apple reeling under a carefully-coordinated explosion of violence from the world’s most dangerous band, GWAR! First off, the mutant barbarian tribe descended upon the Javits Center for the 2009 Fangoria Horror Con. The “Skin-Tent” was set up, and Slaves of GWAR began to attend to the slavering masses lust for all things GWAR. Band members Oderus Urungus and Jizmak Da Gusha made several appearances, ruining several things, all the while attended by their manager, Sleazy P. Martini. A surprise attack by Sawborg Destructo was about to occur, but failed to materialize as he became distracted by the hot chicks at the Fangoria Fetish Show. By this point GWAR lead singer Oderus Urungus, had slunk off into the night to appear on Fox New’s “Red Eye”, hosted Greg Gutfeld. Oderus spared the dapper hosts life, and went on to plug GWAR's new album relentlessly. Check it out HERE. (link) After the show, Oderus posed for pictures with a Catholic priest, then split and gutted the terrified baby-licker. He quickly left in a cab, missing the police by seconds.
GWAR went on to terrorize the FangoCon for the rest of the weekend, leaving the Javits Center in shattered flames. After GWAR had departed from the scene of carnage, Slave Pit artist/musicians Don Drakulich, Dave Brockie, Brad Roberts, and Matt Maguire held a q +a session to the surviving convention-goers. Some wanted to know why they had spent money to get into an event where loved ones were killed, but still agreed that GWAR kicks ass.
In other video news - Beefcake the Mighty has recently appeared on Dean TV discussing the most metal bass he’s ever played. Check out the video HERE.
GWAR's two-year long 25th Anniversary starts August 18th, when their new album, LUST IN SPACE, mother fucking drops!

November 14, 2007Rockers who dress upYour live show is no laughing matter if you’re a musician, and some people take not only how they sound but how they look VERY seriously. Now that’s what we call devotion! Now in tribute to those who are not only gifted musically but have distinct, awesome and outrageous fashion sense, DJ Rossstar and Johnnynotsid have come up with their favorite rockers who dress for the stage. Regine is a very gifted girl from Montreal who is part of a very talented and acclaimed band known as Arcade Fire. Not only is she an exceptional songwriter and composer as well as Hurdy-gurdy, accordion, piano, and organ player AND singer and drummer, but she also dresses super weird and super-fierce. Her dresses are adorable and she knows just what compliments her. Sure, she had to dress like an Amish funeral attendee during the tour for her band’s first album Funeral, but now that Arcade Fire's new album Neon Bible is released, she gets to dress like this:
DJ Rossstar’s Picks: 5. Masks. Wacky hats. Pajama pants. You never know what you're gonna get when you see Peachake perform live. 4. Monsters and blood. GWAR will either make you laugh hysterical or cry yourself to sleep at night. 3.The Sound of Animals Fighting. Ram, Tiger. Raven. Tortoise. Who is behind those realistic animal masks?

October 9, 2007my amazing day with CKY
OH MY GOD. I HAD THE BEST DAY EVER!
hahahah... my friend Shawna went with me to the CKY show... We went there at 3pm, because my interview was supposed to be at 3:30....When we got there, i spotted Matt, and he saw me, and he was like "HEY SAMMI!", and i went over to him, and chatted with him. Jess Margera then came out, and Matt was like "Jess this is your interview, btw, this is the girl that wrote 'The Cig Song'." and then Jess went back onto the bus... He came out a few minutes later and we were all talking about being hungry and wanting to go over the bridge to Tempe to go get food... there were 3 CKY fans there who had a car, and so we all (there was 7 of us.. matt, me, jess, shawna, and 3 others) got in the car and went to Tempe... We went to Hooters on Mill Ave. haha.. It was ssoo hilarious, when we got in there the one waitress was like "Are you all going to the CKY show tonight?"(because the three cky fans, matt & jess had CKY shirts on)... haha Shawna and I burst out laughing. The 3 kids that drove us, sat at one table, and Jess, Matt, Shawna & I sat at another. I sat next to Jess. Shortly after we sat down one of the Beef Cake(or maybe it's meat cake.. i can't remember) from Gwar came in and sat at the table across from us. I got a shirley temple and mozerella sticks, i gave Shawna a few of my sticks... and Matt & Jess shared some "naked wings" and both drank beers. Halfway into our meal, one of the waitresses came over and asked Matt & Jess if they'd go over and meet this one waitress because she was a huge fan and was freaking out over CKY being there. haha.. it was uber funny. After we ate we went out on the patio and did the interview for my web site. It went really good, and is probably my fav one i've done. Lol while we were out on the patio i had matt call Onndreeuhh from here(because i know she's a huge like cky crew fan)..and then we tried calling Diana(she fucking hates cky.. and last summer when cky where here i had matt call her and leave a message so it's like a joke), and she wouldn't pick up for me and texted me "i'm busy", so Matt called from his phone and left her the most hilarious message.. he was all like "Diana i know you hate CKY, but i would love for you to be a fan of us. I will do anything to get you to be our fan. Tell me what i can do to make you a fan of our band, call me back at <add matt's cell phone number here". haha i was laughing so hard... After that Matt, Shawna and I went for a short walk down Mill, to Hippy Gypsie so Matt could get some smokes. The girl in there though he was buying them for us(because i loaned matt $5), so she kicked us out. haha. We went next door and they sold him them.. after that we went back to Hooters... Jess & Matt ordered some food to take back for Chad. We all went outside and waited, and I took some pix with the guys, and then Matt took my camera and was taking tons of random pix of everyone.. And then Matt & I did a short vid for me to post on my buzznet(hahaha.. it was all about how much he hates Pete Wentz). haha. We then went back to the venue. We talked to Matt a bit, and then he had to go do something else.. So we hung around by the bus baracade thingier.. Where Shawna and I ran into Vain's Of Jenna. The one dude(the bassist) from Vain's was totally coming on to us, asking our names and stuff, and he asked us our ages and seemed kind of sad to hear we were underaged. hahaha. Shawna and I then went to will call and picked up our tickets from the guest list. We then noticed Chad was outside, and we ran over to him. He had his arms out streached towards us. When we got over to him he was like "Hi Sammi"...(i was like dying, because i used to have a crush on him... so him knowing my name was totes an omgz moment). I took a few pix with Chad.. and we talked about "the cig song"(this song diana and i wrote as a joke last summer about chad, and put online, and someone sent it to chad, and he liked it so much he played it on Radio Bam on Sirius once a few months ago), GG Allen, and Chad told me he liked my Ramones skirt that i was wearing. Chad then announced that he needed to go find some jack daniels, and left.. Shawna and i went for a walk around the venue so i could take a pic of the marquee sign with the "viva la bands tour" stuff up...and bumped into beef cake from gwar, and chatted with him for like half an hour. after that we went into the venue to watch Vain's Of Jenna play. Towards the end of their set, the dude we'd talked to earlier noticed us, and was pointing at us and rolling his tounge(eww), and at the end he tossed his guitar pick at me. hahaha. after that CKY came on.. I had my photo pass so i took pictures. When they came out I waved to Matt and he looked at me and smiled.. During the time i was taking pix, i made eye contact with Deron and Chad several times. haha security messed up and let us take pix for the first 4 songs(it's only supposed to be 3 at the marquee). CKY's set was really good but short. When CKY got done, Matt took their set list, and jumped off stage(like to the security barrier thingie) and shook some kids hands, and then he came over and gave me his set list(i'd asked him earlier in the day when we were at hooters if he'd give me it). Shawna, my mom(she came for CKY's set.. and she'd brought them a care package of food for their bus. ahah), and i went outside and chatted with Matt. My mom then left, and then Matt, Shawna and I went back into the venue(the security was mean about letting Shawna re-enter even though Matt said she was with him). Shawna and I watched a little of Gwar's set.. We kept going inbetween Gwar and the CKY merch booth.. Chad, Deron and Matt were at the merch booth. We got pix with Deron (and Chad).. I had bought CKY's new DVD earlier in the night, so i had them sign it. Chad wrote on it "CIG Loves Sammi" (once again i was like totally omgzzz).. Towards the end of Gwars set i checked my phone and my mom had called, she was outside and she'd brought Wentz(my dog) with her.. Matt, Shawna and I went outside.. Matt lurrvved Wentz.. he played with her for a while and Chad petted her and stuff (i got tons of pix of this).. And then Ballzac from Gwar came out, and he kissed Wentz (haha my puppy is such an attention whore of a doggy.. she lurved all the guys petting her)... Chad had Matt go get me one of his "CIG" shirts(he came out like a few months ago with his own line of shirts that have his picture on them)... haha i was excited, because i'd wanted one for a long time.. and i thought it was super sweet that he gave me one. We left around 10:30-ish.. Matt hugged both Shawna and I and kissed us both on the cheek.... Twas theee raddessttt day ever.. I shall hopefully have my pix from the show up by tomorrow or so...

February 7, 2007If you live in Southern California, come watch my band play!
My band, Future Primitive, is doing a mini So Cal tour this weekend. Come check us out!
![]() Our first show is TOMORROW NIGHT at The Knitting Factory in Hollywood. Doors are at 7:30 and we go on promptly at 8:00pm. And need I point out we are playing with 4 of the raddest bands in punk and hardcore these days? I need not! ![]() Then, on Friday, we're heading out to the Inland Empire (Riverside) to share the stage with many friends (Broadway Calls! Better Off Dead!) and THE GEEKS from South Korea!!!!! It's truly an honor to be playing with them! ![]() Saturday, we're heading to where we feel most at home: the beach! It will our second time playing on The Strand in Hermosa Beach. A bit of background: We were invited to play a matinee show at The Strand last year. Unbeknownst to us, The Strand is the name of the sidewalk along the actual beach. (I'm not shitting you.) So, in every literal sense of the word, we'll be playing on the beach. ![]() Our final destination on this small outing is the lovely city of Newhall. It will be our second time at the American Legion Hall and, while I had a blast, we can only hope things turn out better for us this time around. Every band on this bill is youthful, alive, and smart; don't miss out. Plus, the flyer creeps me out. ![]() Get on it and come see some real punk shows. FEEL ALIVE!
