THE TEASEL IN BLOOM………

My Teasels are finally in bloom and this Bumblebee was really in love with it. It’s kind of hard to see the complete flower in this but the bee has lot’s on pollen on her so she’s happy : )


TINY HOVER FLY ON THE BIG BAD CHAMELEON PLANT……….

I love the Hover Flies but this Japanese plant is a horror !!!! Even though it looks very pretty it is so invasive I can’t even transplant any of the other plants that is in this one garden to another garden. Even one tiny piece of root will spread it in that area !!! It’s… More »



CAUGHT IN THE ACT ON THE QUEEN ANNE’S LACE ………..

Love in the afternoon !!! I caught these two Bee/ Drone Flies whooping it up on the Queen Anne’s Lace. I wonder if they were embarrassed 😀


IN THE GARDEN……….

My Purple Coneflowers [Echinacea] are blooming and the Goldfinches are already pulling on the seeds. They don’t even wait for the seeds to mature, Silly Birds 😀 OH BTW the bird flew away when I went out to get a photo 😀


DON’T PICK ME :D

My Teasels are getting ready to bloom, these plants have sharp points so you have to be careful around them. In olden times the seed heads were used as combs for sheeps wool and plant fibers. They are very popular with the Bees here : )



FINALLY A DAY WITH SUN AND FLOWERS FROM MY GARDEN : )

I went outside to get some fennel for my caterpillars and spotted lot’s of flowers and thought i would bring some in. My Stella D’oro Lilies, Blackeyed Susans and Lavender called out to me and said “PICK ME” !!!! : D


GOODBYE SPRING …….HELLO SUMMER

IN MY GARDEN ……..

Since we had some horrible weather this week I thought I would post this photo I took a few weeks ago. These Coral Bells are gone now but they do look pretty when in bloom : )

WHEN IT’S RAINING YOU BRING THEM INSIDE ……….

My Lily of the Valley flowers just came in bloom and it decided to rain so I brought some in to enjoy. They smell wonderful : )

THE GOOD KIND OF SNOWDROPS : )

My poor snowdrops were buried under a few feet of snow for 2 months and I thought they would never grow and get flowers this year but here they are looking all cute : )


THE CAT’S ARE BACK !!!!

GREY GARDENS…….

My gardens are pretty much put to bed for the winter. It was a gray day with some peeks of the sun. But I was cleaning out one of my closets today and didn’t see the outdoors very much !!!!



AT THE PARK……

These were at one of the parks here on Long Island. They have a Tulip Festival every year but this was last year. Tulip time hasn’t happened here yet. Mine are growing well but not ready to flower, but I should have some daffodils tomorrow. View in full size ~


LILY’S FOR BARBARA………

June 27th is the third anniversay of my Dear Sister-in-Law Barbara’s death. I was hoping to go to the cemetery tomorrow but storms may put that off.
