gallery1988 Blog and Journals

So I went to the opening of Greg "Craola" Simkins' show last night. I've always been a fan of his work, and his new pieces definitely didn't disappoint. The only bummer is that the prices on his paintings have dramatically risin over the past year with his increased popularity (at least in LA). Works that would have cost $500 a year ago are now going for $1,000+. But that's the way it goes I guess. If you're in LA I highly recommend that you check out his show at Gallery 1988, it's running until November 2. He also frequently does shows in Philly and San Francisco and occasionally hits other random cities around the US. So keep an eye out for him and be sure to check out his work!
