March 14 - Fresno, CA. Most Amazing Night ;
Wow, March 14th was just so... WOW.
I get there at about 2:50 in the afternoon, and so I called Heather asking where she was. I soon find her, and talk to her for a bit and she says she hasn't found anyone else. I call Aileen and she doesn't answer either but I send her a text and she answers a bit later. For about an hour, I'm waiting with Aileen and Lex and handing out promo and stickers to random people. I'm pretty sure they appreciated it 'cause they were like, 'OHMYGOD. Thank you so much you're the only one that we got anything from! 1041 ran out!'. :D
So anyrays, it's about 5? I would say, and Myranda gets there and so we're standing towards the front of the line with Aileen and Lex... and this security chick is all, 'get in line! or you'll loose your spot in line!!' and the girls in front go, 'haha they never HAD a spot in line. they cut. and it's not fair to the rest of us that have been waiting here all day!' I didn't say this, but I was thinking to myself, 'Umm hah yeah we don't need them because we have meet and greets and apparently you don't! Fuckin biiiiitches.' I guess that was mean, but I don't care. They were all bitchy to us first.
Then me and Myranda just go stand over by the 104.1 booth and that's when I want to use the restroom. So we walk all over the place and the Radisson is like, 'no you can't go here because blah blah blah you're not a hotel guest.' That's when we walk back and just use the portable toilets - I closed the door and it said, 'fuck eliza cuts' so I took out the Sharpie I conviently had and wrote, 'fuck you'. And that was fun. :]
We walk back over to the line and I called Amber to see where she was and she got lost because Fresno is 'wtf-town'. lol seriously. Then I see Madi just walking and I'm all, 'MADI!' Haha that was awesome :D So about an hour later, it's 6:19 and I see Amber running to the other side of the venue, and I'm all, 'Is that Amber...?' So I call and it ended up being her. She had said that the Selland Arena hadn't given us any information about the meet and greets and so that's when we go back to Myranda and Amber gets in line to get her wristband. We're standing there talking about the situation, and the Selland Arena still hadn't given her any info. It was crap. A few of the other MCRmy members were right there and we talked... got our passes and then found out the meet and greets weren't til AFTER the show.. which was cool because I wanted to see Rise Against and get some merch!
But my sister looses her ticket and then we're all around for about another twenty minutes and just doing not much of anything except waiting for the ticket situation. Before we had gone to the parking garage to get the MCRmy flag which was brilliant. :D And April makes the best flags ever, I swear!
--INSIDE--
Me and Myranda go in and we go straight to the merch table. Rist Against comes on, and we're standing in line for about fifteen twenty minutes where we get some sweeeeeet stuff. We go down to the floor, and Myranda decides (and I'm so glad she did!!) that she wants to get to the very front. So we start going around the right side and then I was all, 'Hmmm.. no left. :]' and so we go to the left. We find Veronica and Blake and we're just standing there when people start to push - so we push back and eventually, we're very very VERY close to the front. Rise Against ended and everyone is getting all excited for The Black Parade to come out. Finally the lights dim, and Gerard comes out on a gurney and is in a hospital gown and begins 'The End.'. Everyone literally goes insane, and it's just.. awesome.
So they play their set, but during it Gerard goes, 'Mmmm.. I'm drinking my sparkling cider. How exciting.' and is all monotone about it. Idk.. I just found it hilarious. :D
THERE WAS LOTS OF FIRE AND SPARKS! It was freakin' SWEET, man! (The entire album - The End. 'til Famous Last Words. They played Blood while we were waiting for MCR.)
The Black Parade exits, and that's when everyone is waiting for My Chemical Romance. During the entire time of TBP though, I was looking for Myranda because I was worried something bad happened.. but I couldn't get out because no one was letting me.
But MCR comes on, and Mikey is wearing his glasses, Gerard has his jacket on, and Frank, Ray and Bob are all wearing what they did during TCFSW.
Okay... so I forget what song it was on, but towards the end, Frank is over in the middle of the stage near Gerard and Frank just goes up to him and starts making out with him. I swear to god. I was like, 'WTF?! Did he just do that?!' And... it was... odd? :/ Hah.
THAT WAS THE BEST CONCERT I'VE EVER BEEN TO IN MY ENTIRE LIFESPAN. HOLY CRAP!
After the show, the few MCRmy members + a couple extra that came along with us go up and are waiting for the meet and greets to begin. So I'm sitting there, and I'm surprised because I wasn't as nervous as I thought I'd be. I was just... sitting there. Listening to everyone talk.
THEY COME OUT FROM THE DOORS.
They all walk in and start to sit down, and we all begin to file down the stairs and into a line. The MCRmy members are all together, and we're just standing there waiting for our turn. I have a flag (OMG THANK YOU SO MUCH MYRANDA. I FREAKIN' LOVE YOU!) that says 'My Chemical Romance' on it, and Bob is first.
Bob: Hi. How are you doing?
Me: I'm good. Hey Bob... I have a question... are you REALLY going to be doing the lions and tigers thing like you said on Rockline?
Bob: ... no? OH! Yeah umm maybe. No.. maybe! Hey Frank remember that?
Frank: Haha yeah. Except I want bears that balance on those balls and rolling around on stage.
Bob: Haha that'd be sweet!!
So I pass it down for Frank to sign. I shake his hand and he's like, 'Nice to meet you, I'm Frank.' I tell him I'm Vix and he signs it " 'Frank' mcrmy." That's when he looks over at Mikey and goes, 'Dude what are you drawing?'
Mikey: It's a blueberry.
Frank: A blueberry? What the hell?
Mikey: And it's pissed off. Haha
Mikey looks up at me and is all, 'Hi. I'm Mikey.' and shakes my hand. I mean, I know it's polite to do, but I DO know their names... lol. They don't have to tell me. :]
Next is Ray.
Ray: Hey! I'm Ray. How are you?
Me: I'm good. I'm Vix. :]
Ray: Vix?
Me: V- I - X.
Ray: Awesome. -signs flag-
Me: Thank you!
Ray: Thank YOU. :]
THEN it's Gerard.
Gerard: Hey I'm Gerard.
Me: I'm Vix. -shakes hand-
Gerard: Bix? Okay. -writes 'Bix'-
Me: No, VIX.
Gerard: Oh, I know. I wrote Bix.
Me: No with a V. -makes 'V' shape with hands-
Gerard: Oh! Damn! Uhhh.. -writes Vix in huge letters- What can I do with this? -looks at the part where it says 'Bix'.
Me: I don't know.
Gerard: Here. -draws a heart around Bix and starts coloring it in to cover it.- There you go! :]
Me: Thank you so much!
Gerard: No problem.
The rest of us all go over to the wall where we're going to get our picture taken with the group and entire band. I'm sitting in the front holding one end of a MCRmy flag, and Gerard is just staring over at the group. It was ... haha I don't know. He just kept staring.
Everyone gets done signing, and the five of them come over to the group of us and Gerard says, 'Do you think I could sit right there?' and is pointing right in between me and my sister. Hah, why'd he even ask? Lol duh. Then Frank sits right in FRONT of me and has these suckers that are like eyeballs and is covering his eyes with them. The photographer dude takes the picture and we're getting it sent to us.
