Football!

Objetivo do jogo

No futebol universitário e escolar, 15 jardas e um primeiro down automático.

xoxo!

Man, That's Sugar Sweet!

I feel like a little girl all over again! haha. i find myself crushing on certain guys and actually getting nervous!! Dest does not get nervous haha she is confident and makes other people nervous. Do not you like my new alter ego? Her name is dest diamon feathers. kind of sounds like a stripper name, but that was not what i was going for. bible! Back to what i was writing about. i do not know how to text or talk to this "crush", i blush and i giggle too much. this is starting to sound like a catchy little love song. i am just happy that i am feeling this. atleast its something right? it is kind of like fate a tad,  the way this is all working out. maybe this tim really will be mine! besides my fabulous "love life" hahahaaa thats lame, my social department is changing.

last night i went to a playoff game with a whole new set of friends, and had alot of fun. usually i do not chill with people that i think are totally different from me, but last night i wanted to venture out and go on the other side of the fence. it worked out to my advantage, and everyone was totally cool. we talked like we were friends forever and related to each other. we all have great senses of humor, so we were giggling the whole time. which brings me to my next subject.

my friends have been annoying me lately. haha.i had to get that off my chest. its always an exuse, a complaint, or a plain lie. november is full o fresh starts so i will not let someone lie to me again. i really can not stand it. so let it be. they can not use and abuse me. i love the to death but that is just not okay. i am a pretty good friend, and i try my best to include everyone in everything, but i will not waste my time. i was six months too late. lately, every change that is going on in my life is for the better. it is like spring cleaning. cleaning out the closet and getting rid of all the old tattered clothes, and bringing in the amazing delicate things. i am not saying my friends are old and tattered, i just mean the same old things in my life. the change is good.

i am not really doing anything this weekend, just chilling and relaxing. it may seem sad and depressing but everything is positive in these eyes! everything in your life is planned specifically for you. no matter what you do, your fate will follow. i also believe that you can change the negative things in your life. i think life was intended to be hard and cruel, and it is a test to see who will preservre. if that is the word! you can determine if you will let your fate be what is suppose to be or do something to eff it all up. it is up to you to decide. i have been to hell and back and if i had to i would go again in order to get what i want. you can think of ambition as a sin or as a virtue. to me it is not a sin. go after what you want. i'll take what should be mine. do not take that or think of that statement in a way i did not intend. i refuse to close my eyes, and let this world destroy me. this is all up to me, to decide if i will enjoy life or hate it. i choose to enjoy it and have fun! i have great years ahead. soon i will be sixteen, then eighteen, and then twenty-one. i honestly do not believe that i will make it past thiry-five, but i am not jesus so i would not know that.

speaking of jesus, i want to explore new religions. my family is basically catholic, even though ywe do not really go to church. but i want to see what other people believe in, and what religion they practice. it does not mean i would convert to it. i just want to explore it. i think it would bea good experiance and can only better me. i want to look into judiusm and buddhism. i spelled them both terribly. they both seem very interesting.this post was way longer than i intended. but i will keep my buzz posted! haha

Your So Last Summer

long time no post.ja. thought id start out witha funny little thing. i am so ubelieveably proud of myself. some people may think i have no reason to feel that way but you have no idea. i am my own hero right now. i am looking up to myself. i have also been very very postive lately. someone may have tried to trip me, or say something completely rude, but i just turned it into something better. thinking  positive really does work, and it is really not as hard as you think. try it today. it could change your life.

i am on a getaway vacation. it is a secret location, where no one knows where i am. breakfast is incredible, and i will not think about the miff,i will not think about school, i will not think about little people, i will not think about bullshit lies,...etc.

the holidays are so close to being here, and i am way excited! i am not even thinking about thanksgiving. it makes me feel fat ha. i am talking christmas baby! winter is no doubt my favorite season.  a few days ago  in chemistry i had these little mints hot topic gives you if you donate a dollar. i go there for warped tour band tee shirts. but anyways my two friends were messing around with it. everytime one of them would sprinkle some into the others hand he would say, "it sounds like christmas!" then he would eat them and say, "it tastes like christmas!" it almost made my week. it was so adorable. i can not wait to wear my furs and winter atttire, it is so much fun! as you can tell i really have no straight subject for thsis  journal, i was just going thru withdrawel. it is like an addiction.

speaking of addiction. i am addicted to football. not the steelers, nfl, type of football. highschool football. for our school the season is over, but for school's who actually did good this year, they have playoffs. i did not mean to offend any but one person when i said for schools who actually did good this year. i am being honest, never said our football team did not try, they did. it is so much fun and anticipation, especially if your sort of boyfriend plays haha. looking for his number, and seeing him is fun. but the best part is when he notices your there and he waves to you. you feel so special! i sound like such a dork in this post.

things are better on the battlefield. if that makes any sense at all. i feel better, newer (if thats a word), and replenished. looking back, i changed alot in a week. i honestly did. my outlook on life is more realistic, and i am thinking way clearer now. right now i just want to be happy, and live. my  great good football boy haha (can not find the words to explain what we are) were talking about life. it was sort of funny, because we never talk that serious. but he is always so dead honest. and that is what i like about him. he does not lie. yes i wrote it. HE DOES NOT LIE. i have learned that alot of people actually tell the truth, people who lie are just disGUSting leeches. i had to capitilize the GUS because i am afraid some people do not know how to spell the word, they sound it outloud. bad idea. back to what we were talking about. he told me not to think about anyone else but myself. he said it sounds selfish and shallow, but if you worry about ten other people and not yourself, you get screwed over. he said to worry about right now and what im going to do. this very second. not five minutes from now. he explained this: in football he must learn plays and plan out the game. that does not always work out the way we plan, so you have to think quick and do whats best for the team. i became very difficult and asked, " yes but in football dont you have to think of the team? " he laughed and said yes i do, think as your body, your whole person, as the team that your playing for. and it all made sense.

"what you got now, you gotta gotta give it up!"

Seven Tracks for Tailgating

Seven Tracks for Tailgating

Well zim-zam hot damn it's time for some football! Yes, dear readers, in case you've been living underneath your Skullcandys since August, Americans are well into the throes and throws of the season. Break out your favorite, cheap beer, brats and that weird beanbag toss game!

The food, friends, and refreshments are all well and good, but the music you blast from your post has a pivotal effect on your tailgating experience. The songs must be bad ass while not mom-drops-the-potato-salad offensive. Dad and uncle Bob want to hear some heartland rock n' roll tracks from their own glory days tossin' the pigskin. Friends want to feel cool enough at your tailgate, period.

Seems like a ton of pressure, but not to worry. Here are seven songs to get your tailgate mix started - consider it the first bag of Lays chips or the first chugs to kick off Miller Time (but if you're like the robust warrior in the above photo, I'd keep the consumption to a few sips).

1. Norman Greenbaum - Spirit in the Sky
---You want the big man upstairs to have your team's back. The guitar riff screams "Amuuurrica!," and it's from Remember the Titans, a personal favorite among sports movies.

2. The Hives - Tick, Tick, Boom
----Enough Brit-rock energy to keep you amped up for the game. There are plenty of "YEEEAAAHHHSS" to get your voice warmed up for booing refs and cheering for touchdowns.

3. Missy Elliott - Jump On It (Remix)
----Take a Sir Mix-a-Lot classic and throw in Missy Elliott - you can't go wrong. Play this one when the relatives are in line for the Porta Potty's so they won't have to pretend to other parents that they know you.

4. The Beastie Boys - Fight For Your Right
----Um, hello? The Beastie Boys are every Dude-Man-Bro's favorite white punk hip-hoppers. And the chorus speaks for itself in intimidating "don't mess with me man, I'm CRAZY!" lyrics.

5. Rock and Roll Part 1 - Gary Glitter
----I know, you've never heard of this song in your life. But you have - to put it simply, it's the one that goes "da-da-daaaa-da HEY! da da da..." repeat. People get up and clap for this one as if a string was pulled on their backs. Who knew a band with the word "Glitter" in it could write something so commanding and disgustingly simple?

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bH5zsYZbANE

6. Guns n' Roses - Welcome to the Jungle
----Rock and roll and football are as harmonius as ketchup and mustard. While GNR is a little more 80's hair metal, there is no way you won't hear this before, during or after the game.

7. Sweet Caroline - Neil Diamond
-----This song wonderfully pollutes every halftime, seventh-inning stretch, and tailgate. It's one of those come-together-y kind of songs, so everyone at your tailgate will feel a sappy, sentimental bond right before you walk through the gates.

Ignorance Is Bliss

goody god i have not  posted in ages! i have so many things to say and no words on how to convey it. life has been shitty. that is just one sentence to describe it. i could go into the great details but that is not what i want this post to entile(if that is how you even spell it) i really need to take the time to find myself. that sounds ridiculous, but is also very true. i keep getting  caught up in this jetset life, and working myself upo to be let down. it is getting agitating.

guys. god im sick of the word ha. let me just say that i am so sick of dickheads. i choose this path so i am not putting fault on anyone but i. my school's homecoming was this saturday. fuck that. oh and did i mention that our football team lost the friday night game? oh the irony! you would understand why i said that, if i told you that story . but truly, i am over it. you should know that i did not attend that wonderful event saturday night, but i am excited to find all the saucy details. that is one fantastic word to describe my life right now: saucy.

friends. i never had great luck with them. they have always been the downfall of me. i am not here to complain or feel bad for myself at all, just recording what is jumping in my mind. i have been true and friendly to people i think are worth it, but my judgment has been wrong. i will also not write the story of bestfriends, because a story of that is truly outdated. some people are not ment to have life long bestfriends, some people are just to distinct, too strong. which makes them intimidating and scares people wasy easily. i believe i am one of those people. it is what is is.

i have a beautiful tattoo idea, and let me say that it is genuis. the location, the quote, everything about it!  i am so excited and i need to decide when i will be getting it. the saying really means alot to me, and i am not trying to follow any tattoo trends, and i really thought i was original with this idea. we shall see!

i have decided that i am done caring about other individual's and their feelings. i will do what i want, when i want, how i want. and no one will stop me. take a look around you, observe. evil disguises it self. many people will deceive you, hurt you, take from you like leeches, do anything to see you fall. it is up to you to let them. i refuse to close my eyes. (diamonds arent foever has been the soundtrack to my life for a few months)

"My Lords, do whatever you wish. As for me, I shall do no otherwise than pleases me."

September 29, 2009

when it's over, so they say, it'll rain a sunny day.

someone told me long ago, there's a calm before the storm.

i know, and it's been comin' for some time.

when it's over, so they say, it'll rain a sunny day.

i know, shinin' down like water.

i have been very busy lately, which is why i haven't updated my blog in so long. last wednesday was the freshman football game. i went with a group of people and had a very good time there. my friend briana stopped by on friday and we went to walmart together.. no reason to, just to get away for a while. we ended up buying a few cheap, little things while there. it was then that i realized how awful the service is at seven o'clock in the evening. we were waiting for about a half an hour for assistance. there was a varsity game that evening as well, which didn't differ much from the last varsity game i went to. briana ended up staying over at my house about an hour afterwards. we blasted the stereo in her car out front for a while and plugged in our ipods when the music on the radio became dull. then saturday, briana came back over and agreed to stay the night. after going out for a bite to eat, we decided to do one of our favorite past times and headed over to the adventure playground to goof around for a while. after that, we bought lots of useless candies that were sure to keep us up until dawn and sat in the grass just admiring the nice day. that night we watched movies and ordered take out. when she left on sunday at noon, i chose to relax the rest of the day before going back to school on monday. i ended up going for a drive late sunday afternoon. it was peaceful.

this friday is when the ASVABs are taking place. they start at the beginning of school, 7:30, and continue on to 11:30, which is twenty minutes after lunch is over. i'm surprised that tests such as those are going to be taking so long.. the PSATs are only taking place from 8:00 to 10:30 on october 17th. since they're coming up in about two and a half weeks, i'm going to have to start the practice test they attached to the booklet and prepare myself for them. even though they're preliminary, i should still try and study to get a good grade on them. hopefully i'll do alright on them. i'm still not quite sure when the SATs are going to be, but i have a feeling they'll be sometime after the new year. at least, that's what i'm hoping.. haha.

September 21, 2009

there's nothing here in this heart left to borrow.

palace of versailles in versailles, france. magnificent.

yesterday in our french class, we got brochures for a summer trip to france that's open to those who've taken a french class for two years. and despite how i said i wouldn't want to visit france, i can't help but admit to that little lie. it's not one of the first places i'd like to visit in europe, but either way, i still think it'd be a very beautiful and intriguing experience, especially to compare their cultural differences to ours. if i decide to go, i have to leave on june 26 and return on july 29. the cost is $4,600.. which is definitely expensive, but since we'll be gone for a little over a month, i'd say that we pretty much get our money's worth. especially considering all of the amazing places we get to visit. below i've typed out the schedule for the trip that i'm strongly considering to attend. my parents are also thinking about it.. good thing we have until april to decide and get our payments turned in.

june 26: Depart the U.S. for Paris.

june 27: Arrive at the Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport (CDG) before 2pm. Students will be met by the resident directors and taken directly to the hotel in Paris. First on-site orientation meeting.

june 28: Second on-site orientation meeting. Tour the Quartier Latin, Notre-Dame, visit the Musée du Louvre and have a walking tour of the Champs-Elysée and the Arc de Triomphe.

june 29: Depart Paris for Versailles. Visit the Palace of Versailles and the gardens. Return to Paris in the afternoon for an evening boat cruise on the Seine River.

june 30: Depart Paris in the morning for Angers. Arrive in Angers and meet host families. Walking tour of the city in the afternoon.

july 1: Welcome reception and placement exams at the Université Catholique de L'Ouest. Culteral activity in the afternoon.

july 2: Regular class schedule begins. Classes meet Monday through Friday.

july 3: Day Excursion - depart Angers in the morning for the Loire Valley to tour several chateaux.

july 4: Free Sunday to explore Angers.

july 5-9: Regular class schedule continues. Cultural activities during the week.

july 10-11: Overnight Excursion - Saturday morning depart Angers for Saint Malo. Visit the city and beach. Sunday morning depart for Mont Saint Michel. Visit the monastery and surrounding village before returning to Angers in the evening.

july 12-13: Regular class schedule continues. Cultural activities during the week.

july 14: Bastille Day - national holiday.

july 15-16: Regular class schedule continues. Cultural activities during the week.

july 17-18: Free weekend to explore Angers.

july 19-23: Regular class schedule continues. Cultural activities during the week.

july 24-25: Overnight Excursion - Saturday morning depart Angers for the Normandy coast. Visit the city of Caen, the D-day beaches and WWII cemeteries. Return to Angers on Sunday afternoon.

july 26-28: Regular class schedule continues. Cultural activities during the week.

july 28: Attend Soiree International farewell party held by the Université Catholique de L'Ouest.

july 29: Depart Angers in the early morning. Arrive at the CDG Airport and depart for the U.S. before noon.

sounds exciting, huh? if i go, i'll definitely be looking forward to visiting the palace of versailles, meeting the host families, and especially the visit to the WWII cemeteries.. world war II is one of my favorite topics in history to study. so far, i have about a fifty percent chance of going. we'll just have to see what my parents decide. who knows.. before april, i might choose not to go. i'm not really looking forward to the nine-something hour flight to and from france. i'm not a big fan of flying, and just the thought of being inside a plane over a large body of water sends uncomfortable chills down my spine.

on wednesday i'm going to a freshman football home game. i think it'll be just as fun as the varsity game i went to last. i'll bring my camera along so i can take some pictures for the yearbook since it's one of my extra curricular classes. i'm going to try my best to attend every home game, especially for junior varsity and freshman football so i can provide some pictures. for the varsity, i'll just go to enjoy the game and the company of my friends. a friend of mine will be coming home with me so she can attend the game with me. we'll probably go to every game we can together, because it's always more interesting for us when the other is around. and tomorrow, i have a project for history to turn in. it's a good thing i'm already finished with it. and i'm pretty sure we have an exam in that class as well. i think i'm prepared for it. history is one of my favorite subjects, so i tend to do rather well in the class, so long as i have a decent teacher. the teacher always affects how well you do in the class, i've come to realize. it's all about the atmosphere that they have. if the students aren't comfortable, they're likely not to do very well. most of the time it's the student's fault, yes, but you need to take into consideration the quality of the person who's teaching. sometimes they need to take responsibility for part of a student's grade.. they're not perfect, they do mess up.
