The Devil Is In Perfection (Dan about Lane) [1]
So this is the first time I've done something like this. It's not FanFic or anything, just some story I made up. This is just a short introduction, I'll be writing (at least) one chapter a week. Hope you'll like it and tell me what you think.

She walked in, gently pushing the doors of the canteen, almost like she was trying to convince them to open voluntarily. The morning light fell on her as the doors opened, and indeed, almost without effort, almost voluntarily. The glow showed her, almost perfect, silhouette. Her hair, dark brown, was almost glowing as she shook her head slightly, a little lock of hair hung just next to her eye. It made her look perfect.
There she came in her plaid black and white skirt (just 10 cm above her knees), her t-shirt with a black tie printed on it, her black boots which were just under her knees, everything. And then, her smile. He thought he was melting on the spot. Out of nowhere, there she was; looking directly at him, smiling, happy, warm and- did he see a hint of affection?
He doubted the situation, but just when he was about to decide it was nothing she broadened her smile and she said
'Hey, uhhhmm...I know you don't have anything to do Friday night, I heard you talking- sorry 'bout that, but back to the point...uhhhmm...would you like to go out...with me...Friday night... There's this big party..and well...'
She stopped, hoping he would fill it in. He was absoluteley caught of gaurd by this question. Still he managed to answer the question.
'I would like to go with you,'
More than like, actually he thought, it almost slipped out of his mouth, but he managed to stop it before disaster struck
'What time should I pick you up?'
He tried not to sound to exited. He knew where she lived, he drove by every time he went to work, at least, when he still had that job at the supermarket. Drifting off, you're drifting off, Dan. he told himself.
'You could pick me up at eight, do you know where I live?'
She asked, quite hopefully smiling at him.
'Yeah, I used to drive by when I went to work. I used to work at the supermarket'
'You worked there? I thought I saw you once, behind the register, but it closed and you walked away...Strange'
She said it with a big smile, as if she were surprised, she wasn't, he knew she wasn't.
'Yeah, it would've been me I guess'
He tried desperately not to smile, but he did and so did she. It seemed like all the awkward nervous-ness between them had gone and it was as if they'd been talking for ages. He was drifting of into his own reality again. Her green eyes. Her perfection, it seems all so unreal. Just in time he realised that she was still standing in front of him, he crashed back into the real world.
'Eight it is then' she said.
She moved towards a group of her friends. She wasn't the popular girl that was mean and had lots of money, she was the popular animal-saving book-loving friend-helping kind of girl. She was his kind of girl. She was Lane.

So this was the first chapter, I know it's extremely short, but I'll have longer ones once I start for real. I'll also be posting Lane POV every week, you can pick the one you like reading best. I personally think Dans is more romantic, but you can see for youself.
Hope you liked it!
Kisses, Amber.
