I have to admit that I was nervous meeting my idol, Decima after all she is the stuff of legend. For those newbies not familiar with SM in Asia, Fetish Fashion was the epitome of SM sophistication. Unfortunately it was also the Mecca of controversy in Hong Kong. Googling "Decima" and "Fetish Fashion" will turn out tomes on the early evolution of SM in Asia. Decima seemed to be the only voice that that spoked against the oppressiveness of the self-righteous. While the battle raged on in Hong Kong, the SM scene in Singapore had just started. While the Singapore SM group was using hand signals and a little bear dressed in leather, Fetish Fashion boasted two haute couture dungeons designed by the famous John Bannister of Fetters. It even had a retail store catering to kinksters. Let's just say that the three fellows and I felt a little silly staring at the tiny teddy. Yes, we were green with envy.

When I first received Decima's email, I did a double take. Could it be that after so many years, I finally get to meet my heroine? Decima was and will forever be Asia's beacon of sexual revolution & style. I read her email once, twice, thrice and finally realise that it was not a mirage. After a few exchanges, I was certain that it was really the founder of Fetish Fashion on the other side of the keyboard. My heart went pitter-patter, knees rattled and grey matter afire. I finally get my wish granted. Good things do come to those who wait. I SMS'ed a few of our key members from our local SM community to join our private gathering.  

  

Monday arrived none too soon. I was a bundle of nerves. 8:30pm on the dot, Decima and Master L rolled in. I treasured every minute. We traded scene news. There was so much similarity. A few myths were also debunked. We thought that after the Fetish Fashion court case debacle, Hong Kong was conservative. We found out that our Hong Kong cousins are more open than us in the South. When the clock struck midnight, I was thoroughly in love with Decima. She was everything I had imagined and more. She was witty, intelligent, elegant, refined, humorous and definitely had the pinch of wickedness that made her such a wonderful icon. Deanna helped me out with making our meet a little more interesting. In attendance were some my dearest friends: Mistress Karen & slave, Master Warren & slave, Master JP, Kityn, Mistress Fifi (co-founder of bdsmCHINAnetwork), SDAM Maestro DJ Saito, slave deanna and our friends in DYMK who made our meet a comfortable one. Thank you Ben, Muscle Man and Uncle.

It was the first the BDSM meet in for the Shanghai BDSM group for 2009. It started out a little slow. Mistress Fifi and Nicole were afraid that due to the Lunar New Year golden week, they would be the only two kinksters there.

The gorgeous Goddess Qing and Her slave, michelle, came by to check out the scene. Soon switch G and the sultry Mistress Woo joined the party. Slave jojo, slave michelle and slave roland had more than they bargained for when they 'volunteered' themselves as the Mistresses' guinea pigs ... er...."bondage models."  The three slaves were calling out, "救命 (jiu-ming)," in perfect Chinese. So it seems that we have found the best way to teach lao-wai's how to speak Mandarin with perfect Chinese accent.  They were lucky as they have experience Mistresses as play partners.

Vision, co-owner of Frangipani, got into the act. "好玩儿 (hao wan'er)," exclaimed Vision as he got the hang of using the crop. Not too bad for a first timer!

Fifi explained the concept of a SAFE word in Chinese to the people who stood and watch with mouth gaping from the balcony.

If you have a choice to watch bad TV on a Thursday night or come to a SM munch, which would it be for you?

28 people chose the latter (pictures not posted as requested). There were quite a few newbies in this meet. We had to make sure that they were not in the wrong place. There were two groups of very nice looking people and a sexy couple sitting quietly in one corner. Nicole gave them a quiz: does a BDSM meet stand for "Business Development Sales Marketing" meet, "Big Daddy Small Mama" meet, or "Bondage Discipline Sado Masochism"? Luckily, the newbies answered correctly. They were introduced to several toys two of which were from auction from Mistress Cyra. Most of everyone could not guess the use of the hot-icy stimulator. A few thought it was a magic wand. Most of the newbies thought the penis gag was something they stick in their other holes....OO000oooooh oh. Nic naughtily introduced the crop and her version of the 'friendship' bracelet to the newbies. They had loads of fun with the toys.

We had a good representation of moderators who kept the party safe, sane, legal and fun. Our dear founders MJ, Sir Alex, Hendrik, Mistress Karen, and the team from SGGURLS were there to make sure that people didn't feel bored. After a few drinks, people started getting a little more relaxed; the mingling started. Some of the slaves got a little naughty raring the Dominants to get a go at them. That night we had Master R & slave, Master Richard & His haarem (no kidding, Master Richard brought his whole haarem), Master Brian & slave, Master John & slave nina, Master Alex & haarem, Hendrik & plenty of his Sales Marketing friends, andy, sWitch Dyna, and many more people whose names escape me at the moment.

The night was filled with bondage, spanking, caning, teasing, and merri-making. Since DYMK closes at midnight, all the kinksters had to leave the magic kingdom. See you all again on the last Thursday of next month.

I want to thank my dearest kinky friends for making the Thursday BDSM meet at Backstage a super block buster. Besides being such a fantastic night, the imposter from Collarme who called herself Mistress ichilli had been banished by the Collarme.com operators. I owe a lot to my friends who helped me reclaim back what's rightfully mine. You're all the best. And also my deepest gratitude goes to my knight in shining armor, k0021789, who first alerted me to the theft of my picture.

The party would not have been a party without all these gorgeous kinksters Chloey, the gorgeous C+C, Sir Alex & slave W, Hendrika Mistress of Scarf, slave adaline, gorgeous Ivy, the beautiful swinger couple K+C,  Andy + partner, Mistress Minky, slave/switch mArtin, Brian, Jake, rope Master Max from Jakarta, sWitch Kaila, ... (please spank me later I forgot many other names). There was a rope showdown between Master Alex and Master Max. Their styles of tying were very different and both were just as effective in rendering the slaves helpless. Master Max just came into town and was gracious enough to come to our event. He demo his quick western style of tying. Master Alex uses a more careful Japanese Shibari style bondage. Scarf Mistress Hendrika showed that using her silken ties, she could just be as effective as the Masters and their ropes. She employs an intricate web of silk and softness to bind her slave. Mistress Minky had poor Ivy to experiment on. She had her hands full as her slave is a slippery eel. Ivy called herself the houdini of Sggurls. We'll see about that the next time Ivy when I bring my chains and lock.

 

In between the rope bondage, we had several discipline implements lying about. Before long, we had people spanking each other's butt. All in good fun of course.

Though the room at Backstage was small, it was cozy and the privacy the small space provided us was great. We got to know each other a lot better. There were a few newbies that joined us and we had to repeat our mantra: always make sure that your SM play is "SAFE, CONSENSUAL, and SANE".

 

We also woud like to thank Terrence of Backstage bar for handling all the logistics and making us feel really comfortable. Our poor friend is already so skinny, he must have burned 2 billion calories just from the thousands of times he had to climb up and down the stairs to take our orders.

What does Saturday, fetish, kink, lingerie and Singapore have in common? Five words: fun, fun, fun, fun, and fun. Is Singapore happening or what? With F1 and IR looming on its horizon, the SM community is adding excitement and spice to Singapore by staging its on kinkilicious fun fetish lingerie night at Backstage Bar. 'Tis was a hot night, sizzling with some of the sexiest people in Singapore and they were all in MOX on a Saturday night sipping magaritas, wines and delicately well mixed house pours.
