hey everyone, i haven't properly blogged in such a long time! well yesterday was fashion aid 2009 presented by parris harris for the kierrah foundation. a few weeks ago i was apart of a fashion show for a designer named sarah and her line life is style designs and when i was there i ran into my old friend parris harris whom i've worked with in the past! we got to talking and he heard i had my own fashion line i showed him my tote bag which i brought with me and he graciously invited stereosix (my clothing line) to be apart of his event called fashion aid 2009. i was really excited about this. well yesterday was the day! and i was running EXTREMELY late last night i actually got there about an hour late but thankfully my models arrived on time (thanks guys!) and had their hair and makeup done before i even got there! my friend cheyenne was also a model she arrived at the exact same time i did haha, we pulled into the same parking lot which i have a lot of memories of because that parking lot let me keep my car there overnight to sleep on the ground in front of the troubadour for fall out boy back in 2008. LOL. after arriving i settled on the clothing that my models were going to wear and orignally i was going to be both a designer and a model for parris' line so i waited in line to have my makeup done. but the line was REALLY long so i went downstairs to take a few photos of the models who were ready and it turned into a full blown photoshoot by the christmas tree!

orignally parris already had models that i could have used for my line but i wanted to cast my own models so everyone else had the same models except me. our line up was a little different because only three models showed up and i had seven t-shirts (i left a few at home on accident). but overall the fashion show went AMAZING. after taking photos of marchesea she asked if i wanted any taken and i love cameras (hate people though!) so i said yes please!

this was pre-hair and makeup for me. it actually looks like a "real" photoshoot i love the christmas tree haha.

i absolutely love candid looking shots of ANYONE thats my thing right now, i love seeing people "naturally" and not posing.

there was a lot of press there actually so while i was shooting with marchesea there were mutliple photographers taking photos. i had a blast. after this i went back up to see cheyenne getting her hair done.

she was one of the only people that night that had curly hair, i swear there was about three of four of us everyone else had theirs straightened and teased.

after hair and makeup we weren't allowed to go very many places so cheyenne's mini photoshoot was done in the makeup/hair room.

i'm so glad i got to cast my own models. i got to bond with them. :)

after this the models were lined up for the show, i was running around trying to find parris so i could get dressed and walk the runway. he told me to go into this room with a bunch of designers. i watched the show for a little bit but eventually wanted to know what was going on with my line and skipped out on modeling so i could stand with my models and watch my section. the fashion show was filmed for a new TV show i'm not sure which one but apparently we're going to be in episode one. after waiting and dancing for a while it was finally our turn. i didn't actually get to see the fashion show because i was standing right behind the curtain tossing them the next shirt so they could change as quickly as possible and go back out again, but i'm hoping to catch it from everyone else's point of view when the TV show comes out! :)

after the fashion show we heard their was a red carpet that we would need to walk before leaving. turns out their red carpet didn't have a banner but it had paper printed out and bordered. i thought it was really funny actually. unfortunately since stereosix joined the fashion show really late as a designer my logo wasn't on the paper but that's ok because i hope to work with parris again as a designer. after stereosix went on i tried again to walk the carpet but pretty much everyone already had models which was fine i was excited that my line would be on a TV show!

finally we went outside to walk the carpet.

my models were getting really antsy to leave so we went ahead and took our own pictures but i stay behind after they left to actually walk the carpet. it sucks that i didn't get a picture with them. or maybe i did but it wasn't taken with my camera it was taken with someone else's an i don't know if i'll ever see the pictures.

this was defintely the best fashion show i've ever been apart of and i really hope to work with these girls again.

oh that reminds me STORYTIME!

so i went shopping at forever 21 earlier that day this is the outfit i bought, anyways the stockings were one size fits all but for some odd reason they were really small and kept falling down so i kept pulling them up. towards the end of the show i accidently poked a hole in the stocking and now it has a run in it. check it out.

amanda told me it looked cute but i probably will never wear them again.

surpringly i had a few people request photos with me to which i obliged. i didn't get all the photos but the photos of me and this guy were taken on my camera because his camera wasn't working so i need to send him his pictures. he was really nice.

last but not least, i had to get a picture with this guy. self explanitory.

i had so much fun last night. i hope it shows. i'll post information on the new tv show so you guys can watch it if you want if you missed the fashion show! :) thanks to everyone who came out to support me my phone was ringing off the hook all day!

and ps. yes i was freezing :)

as a designer was last night! it was ultimately amazing. i seriously appreciated the models for doing it they did a wonderful job and looked lovely! leda (one of the model's) mothers actually did the makeup with the except of leda who did her own. the only thing that went wrong was a mistake on my end. i asked to borrow some music from a friend's new band i listened to the song on their myspace but the one i actually downloaded and burned to a disc, i only listened to the first 10 seconds to make sure it made it on to the CD. well, apparently i had downloaded a mixtape that they had made for fun with their band's music mixed in. you should have seen my face! i took lots of photos because it was the only thing i was able to pay the models with so i made sure plenty of photos were taken!

this is MJ, she saved the show. one of the models called in and MJ came to the rescue the day of :) she loves britney spears and has britney's fairy tattoo!

i'm not sure what the look (for the makeup) is supposed to be but i loved the makeup for all the girls.

this is cheyenne, thank god she was there, she's a friend of mine and helped me out.

after we got ready (renee the fourth model arrived a little late so there are no photos of her until later) there was a lot of waiting to do so everyone socialized.

So I'm spending my time by putting on a Catwalk/fashion show for charity, and its all going pretty awsome, except i've come to a dead end with the music, its a lot harder thank I thought it would be haha, as every time i've hit the runway, ive been concentrating too much to take note what song I was walking to, and I'm not the best when it comes to music lol, its not really my field of experience. 

Any one got any suggestions? What would you like to walk down the runway to? Think songs with strong beats, not too slow and not too fast, just right to give the models a fierce walk. Thanks guys =] x

 

It's be FOREVER since I updated here and I will be doing more of it.  I have TONS of new photos to add as well.

Hey buzznetties!!

Okay,so it's been FOREVERR since my last update.

I'm really depressed that we are in JUNE and it's still not HOT or SUNNY in CA. This is so not right. =[ i really crave the summer. So to cheer myself up, today I got this really cute MARC by MARC JACOBS watch! yayaya it's white and gold. bahh,i LOVE gold. here is a picture of it:

 

today was my little brothers 8th grade graduation! It was really cute. My family took pictures and then we all went out lunch together. here is picture of my little brother<33 his name is JOEY I took this picture in my car.

 

On Friday June 5th I had a charity fashion show for Project Ethos and it was SO much funnn. I got to see a bunch of my friends and had a killer fashion show with my amazing models.

ohh-and the night before the fashion show i dyed my hair LIGHT BROWN!! ahh. it kind of is a BIG change but i really like it =D and I'm gong to let my bangs grow out.Crazy. So here is an update of my hair:

here is meee and my BEST FRIEND Morgan<33 we rocked the red carpet together before the fashion show started. On JUNE 17th it's morgans birthday,so we are going to Laughlin (this place in AZ with an amazing lake) because LA has no sun =/ it really sucks. So we plan to just stay by the lake and tan for a few days,then on our way back home we are going to stay the night in VEGAS!! yayaya so excited. it'll be really funn. tan.shop.eat.sleep<33 wooo.

Hey buzznet friends!

It has been SO long since I posted a complete update! So here is whats going on:

I just had my show for LA Fashion Week on Sunday March 15th and it was AMAAZINGNGG! The best show I have EVER had. check myspace for pictures: myspace.com/licaribyjazmin 

I talked to a few buyers that came to my show and they want to set up meetings to talk about working together! This is good news :] :] so i will update you sooon on how it goes.

After the fashion show I was asked to be on the COVER of Santa Monica Sun magazine!!! So I had the photoshoot on tuesday. It was weird being in front of the camera for the photo shoot because I always style the shoot. It was sooo much fun :D here are a few out takes from the shoot:

ALSO! This Friday March 27th I'm having a fashion show for the launch of my street wear line at USC the show is all ages and its FREE! so come out and have funnn :]

Around the 20th of November, I was at the at the Fashion Show mall shooting photos of models modeling a new line from Macy's.
-These shots are not the best. This was my second time shooting photos of models on runway.

What a fucking amazing show! I hope everyone who remotely has taste watched the show. If you did, what was your favorite part?

The Goddesses, The Pink Campaign, The Garden plants, or the Christmas part? I think the entire thing was amazing. I have never really been an Usher fan but DAMN HE HAD SOME MOVES!

My favourite model of course is the incomparable Julia Stegner:





Can you imagine walking down the runway in 5 inch heels and a pair of wings like that? Oh dear lord, especially when you only weigh 118 pounds, give or take a few. Those wings are as heavy as hell, and only an experienced model like her could pull them off, so I was happy to see her do just that.

Of course the star of the Victoria's Secret Angels, Heidi Klum was incredibly lovely as well, unfortunately I don't have any pictures of her to post! But I'm sure anyone with the internet can look her up.

Miranda Kerr of course was also part of the show, she's one of my favorites, a cute little thing out of Australia, what a little sweetie.

I have to say I might have preferred last years show to this one, not the clothing necessarily but the composition in general, despite the fact they were both done absolutely amazing, I liked last years focus on the models that they didn't seem to incorporate this year. Thought it's always fascinating to see the kind of preparation that goes into an event of this magnitude, the weeks of hard work, the picking out of textiles and fabrics, working out themes, music, what you want the mood of your show to be.

In other news, I'm going to start university on Fashion Design, and hopefully go into business with one of my girlfriends who is an incredibly talented artist out of Australia.

I had quite the day today! I visited my friends newborn baby! Hes so friggin cute...its so weird to put my 4 1/2 month old next to him and see how GIANT she is compared to him. Since Im with her everyday it doesnt seem like shes already gotten that big. So they arent lying when they say "it seems only yesteray.." and "You grow up too fast" Its weird.

So today I got FREE tickets to go see DOWN at the House of Blues. That was pretty awesome...I surprised my shugg with them cuz he was working all day and he LOVES them so that was cool. It was really last minute that this guy scott gave em to me I wasnt sure if he was gonna hook it up or not. So it was PIMP.

I was SUPPOSED to have a photoshoot tomorrow but last minute fuck ups and no one can watch the baby so we have to reschedual...I can bring her with sometimes since she so good and happy but it was going to be partly outside and its pretty cold so that doesnt work.

I have the fashion show this saturday In Cicero, IL at Klas. Its going to be fun. Im modeling and I also cut up my own shirts alot so the guy in charge asked me to do that with his shirts for the fashion show. So thats cool. Its going to be a fashion show, a punk/metal/horror concert, and an art show. crazy. Lots going on. After the fashion show I will be at the booth cutting up shirts for anyone who wants to buy any?
