over and over

 “one tablet taken at bed”

“take two every four hours. do not exceed”

sound of a dripping tap

merely empty bottles now

my mind groggy

my eyes barely open

all rushes back to me

the steel blade slides across

separating tissue

i watch the water run red

how many times

must my mind see this

AM I REAL?

how many times must i stab my chest

to hear my heart scream

how many times

must my soul dissipate

only to be then put

back in a box

to reform

amnesia

pain

remembering

how many times must i stab my heart

to hear it scream
