I love Everclear, the album this song is from is amazing, my brother and I used to listen to it all the time. Great, but sad, song.

Huh. Did not know that.
I do remember being really bothered that in the song "I Will Buy You a New Life" the lyric was "I will buy you a new car, perfect shiny and new" because I had always thought it was "perfect shiny and blue" which I still contend is a better lyric due to its lack of redundancy.
