Promise Me You won't leave my side (Escape the Fate) 40

No one's POV/Note!!!

And so the weeks went by; both in the flashbacks and in real life.  New things happened however, some a lot more important than others.  The most important thing that happened was, after spending just over a month in a coma, for no apparent reason, Chasey Rader (formerly Shana Brooks)  woke up.

It happened completely unexpectedly, nobody could find an explanation whatsoever.  But the main thing was that she was okay.  Except for one thing.  As Becca, Joe and Jack Rader and a few other selected people knew, Chasey had been suffering from Repressive Memory Disorder since mid July, 2006.  According to psychologists, Chasey was involuntarily trying to block out a series of events and memories that had taken place in May, that same year.  (I'm sure that's probably not the real name for this disorder - I know it does exist, but I can't remember the proper name for it).

After staying a week in hospital - just in case - Chasey was allowed to leave; she went home with her aunt and cousin.  However, she officially stopped seeing her psychologist, seeing as she hadn't seemed to be making any progress during the short time she was seeing him.

Chasey's POV

Present Day (2 weeks after being released from hospital).

It was a beautiful evening, and from where I was sitting, I had an amazing view of everything around me.  I was on the roof of Ronnie's car - yeah, still the same old Buick that he loved so much - just thinking, enjoying the evening.  It was sometime in late August; being Nevada, it was still pretty hot out - hell, out here it hardly ever got cold.

  I missed him so much.

It had always been Chasey-and-Ronnie, or Ronnie-and-Chasey.  We were never apart that long, we were best friends.  I knew him and Max were practically "joined at the hip", but I also knew that Max had a mean side, that he could be so incredibly spiteful sometimes.  That was how him and Ronnie had pretty much destroyed what they had.  In the end, it was Max and Escape the Fate on one side, Ronnie, me and some special mates on the other.  Mates like Nason, Anthony, Samantha - Nason's fiance.

I'd never been too sure what Rob and Monte's opinion of Ronnie was now; from what I knew of them, it wouldn't have surprised me if Rob had taken Max's side.  Monte, however.....he was just totally confusing.  And I really was curious to know.....

I decided, right there, right then, that I would visit them.

In Ronnie's car, literally minutes later, I allowed my mind to wander....I knew there were things I would never remember, things like what really happened out there, that night with me, Ronnie and Joe.  I knew I'd been confused earlier, and I knew that I had forced my mind to play tricks on me.

It was time to give up defending myself.

FLASHBACK

"Hello?"  I answered my phone, still pretty much half asleep.  It was mid-April, 2006.  It was 4.30am and I was being called.  It wouldn't have been so bad if I'd known who it was that was calling, so I'd know whether it was safe to yell at them or not, but it was an unknown number.

"Hello?  Hello?  Look, if this is a pr-"

"Hey, hey whoa, calm down Chase,"  a familiar voice cut in quickly.

"Oh my god, Max?  Why are you calling me....the sun hasn't even started to rise yet."

"Yeah, sorry about that,"  he giggled, not sounding in the slightest bit apologetic.  "Do me a favour and look out your window like a good girl?"  I sighed, not really wanting to get out of bed, but not wanting to be bothered to actually make up an excuse either.  I rolled out of bed, turned my bedside lamp on, went to the window and looked out.  What I saw made me stare in shock for a moment, then I began grinning like a mad person.

There was a light-ish coloured minibus outside; the lights were all on inside and Max and Monte were standing outside, waving madly up at me and, in Max's case, jumping up and down with excitement.

"I'll be right down,"  I giggled and hung up, already halfway across my room.

Downstairs, I quietly unbolted the front doow, slipped out and dashed across the grass to hug both boys at once.

"Oh, man, I MISSED YOU GUYS SO MUCH!"  I whisper-yelled, jumping up and down myself now - even though I was still hanging onto them.  "Why are you here though - aren't you meant to be in LA, recording something?"

"We got a few days off,"  Max smirked as I finally released them.  "We were doing a self titled ep for about a month, then we gave up cause Ronnie didn't want one of the songs to be released after all.  So we've been concentrating on some new stuff for the last three months.  We have to leave on Friday cause it honestly takes forever to get back to LA, but still...we've got four days to do whatever we want with you."

"Can we come in?"  Monte asked hopefully.  "Only I'm reeaallyy hungry and we've been travelling forever and I need a break from everyone."

"Oh, thanks a lot, dude,"  Max pouted indignantly.  I glanced from one to the other, then shrugged.

"Yeah, why not?  You'll have to be really quiet cause my cousin and aunt are asleep though.  Do any of the others want to come in or anything?"

 "They're all asleep,"  Max stage-whispered.

"Okay, whatever,"  I made my way back across the grass, beckoning them to follow me.

Once inside, in the kitchen, I closed the door behind the boys and flicked the light on.  Max blinked dramatically at the sudden brightness as Monte sat down quietly at the table.  I smiled slightly when I noticed they were only half dressed; Monte in trackies and an Iron Maiden shirt and Max in boxers and a plain black longsleeved top.

"D'you want anything then?  Monte, you said you were hungry?"  To be completely honest, I was just wondering what I could do to occupy myself so I didn't freak out.  I mean, yeah, in December me and Ronnie had been staying here - but that was different, that was two months ago.  Now, Escape the Fate were starting to get pretty well known around Nevada due to playing shows since 2004, or something ridiculous.  But still, it wasn't every day - night even - that you had the lead guitarist and bassist of a just-getting-known band - sitting in your kitchen!

"D'you have any...um.  I dunno what I want now,"  Monte laughed, sounding slightly embarrassed.  "Y'know what, I'll have anything - I don't mind, I'm vegan though....so, really, don't put yourself out."

"Yeah, don't make much effort, it's only Monte after all,"  Max grinned.  "Hey Chasey, is your cousin called Joe, by any chance?  And how old is he?"  I gave Max a weird look as I walked over to the fridge.

"Yeah, I have another called John.  He's twenty five or something, Joe's twenty.  Why?"

"I went to school with Joe,"  he said proudly.  "We were pretty good mates actually.  Wow, I lost touch with him like, two years ago!  It'll be interesting to catch up with things."

"Cool, well, provided you're all still here in the morning - when it's actually light - you can re-meet him.  Hey Monte - come here, help yourself to whatever you like."  I sat down at the table, then jumped up again.  "I need some coffee."

"Can I have some?"  Max asked immediately.  I rolled my eyes.

"Sure, whatever you want, Max.  So anyway, guys - tell me about your new ep."

Promise Me You won't leave my side (Escape the Fate) 39

Ronnie's POV

We stayed at Epitaph HQ pretty much all day, Mandy took us to find Joey and then left us to go find "Brett" who was, apparently, the one in charge of the company.  It was a pity I hadn't got her number while I had the chance, but it didn't occur to me til later.

Simrin took us into a rehearsal room and told us to plug in, warm up and then show him some of the material we had ready.  It wasn't much, we played "Chariot of fire";  "I can swing a mic" and "Not good enough".  We had a couple of others but chose not to perform them right then.

After we'd done the songs, Simrin told us he wanted to strip down one of the tracks - he picked "I can swing a mic" for some reason.  Stripping down basically meant we had to perform bits of the song separately, namely the guitar solo and the end, where me, Max and Omar all sang/screamed different parts.  He worked us pretty hard, but he kept going on that it would "make us better peformers".  When he finally let us go for something to eat, he made us promise to be back in an hour so we could finish the stripping down and then have a talk about which songs would be on the ep (yeah, I'd actually got my own fucking way about the ep....there's a surprise).

"He hasn't even heard all the songs yet, he's gotta be kidding about the track listing for this ep,"  Omar exclaimed as we left the building.  "I mean, he seems like a good choice for a manager, but we don't want, like, just three songs on there, do we?"

"Yeah, man, it's like...we do need to give the fans something thats actually fucking worth their money, right?"  Max agreed.  "Hey, Ronnie - which songs d'you think we should put on there?  We could do 'Make up'...'Chariot of fire'..."  I wasn't even listening though, to be honest; I'd just spotted Mandy, walking out of the building behind us.  I hesitated, then made a quick decision.

"You guys go on, I just realised...I think I left my phone in Simrin's office,"  I told the others as we got around the corner.  They all stopped simaultaneously, turning to me.

"But...how will you know where to find us?"  Monte asked.

"I'll call one of you,"  I shrugged.  "Look, we've only got an hour - and that includes finding somewhere to actually eat."

"Good point, we should get going,"  Rob agreed.  "Alright, dude, make sure you call us as soon as you've found your phone."

"Yeah, yeah, whatever,"  I replied, turning and beginning to walk back to the HQ.  "See ya later."

As soon as I'd rounded the corner, out of sight of the others, I glanced around and then, spotting Mandy crouching down, doing up her shoe in the middle of the grounds, began to walk over to her.

"Hey,"  I greeted her when I reached her.  She straightened up and smiled suggestively at me.

"We meet again, Mr Radke.  Let me guess, you were going to ask me out for dinner earlier, then forgot?  What a pity...but here you are now!"  I was momentarily caught off guard, it was usually me who proposed going out somewhere.  I regained myself almost instantaneously though, taking her hand and leading her over to the side of the building.

"Actually I was gonna ask if I could have your number, but dinner is just as good,"  I grinned back.  "So how did your meeting with this Brett guy go?  Business related, or what?"

"Are you implying something other than business here, Mr Radke?"  she asked innocently, then giggled slightly.  "It was about work, you know.  I'm a kind of stylist...well, hairdresser really, but I can do make up and clothes etc if I have to.  So anyway, I needed to find some new work, and he put me on to doing the hair and make up for a band called I Am Ghost.  Apparently they're quite gothic in the image they want, so it could be fun.  How was your meeting with Joey?"

"Okay I guess, he just made us play some of our songs and everything,"  I shrugged, feeling in my jacket pocket for my smokes.  "You don't mind if I smoke, do you?  Not that I care or anything...."

"Oh my, not gonna play nice, huh?"  she winked, edging closer to me.  "Only if I can borrow one.  Well, have one - I don't expect you'll want it back after, right?"

"Want what back?"  I asked, not really listening.  "Shit, there's only one left....wanna share?"

"Oh, what a coincidence.  Go for it, I hope you're prepared to get lipstick on your lips though."  Was she implying what I thought she was?  Fuck, this girl was too damn hot.

"Look sweetie,"  I turned to her, putting my hands on the wall behind her, either side of her head.  "I've had worse than lipstick.  Take it so I can light it?"  Mandy took the cigarette and placed it between her lips - hell, she even managed to make the simplest gesture look sexy.

"So, d'you have a girlfriend?"  she questioned, taking a dainty drag on the cigarette before handing it to me.  I leant against the wall next to her, putting all thoughts of Chasey out of my mind.

 "That depends....you got a boyfriend?"

"Ooohh, nice one.  Well honey, all I'm gonna say for now is that I'm always up for a bit of fun.  In fact..."  she produced a pen from completely out of nowhere and proceeded to scribble a mobile number on my hand.  "...Call me sometime, sugar.  Ready when you are,"  and with that, she turned on her heel and walked quickly away.  I stared after her in total shock, then, shaking my head in disbelief, glanced down at the numbers written on my hand.  What the fuck just happened?  I'd just almost been asked out by an extremely cute girl....forgetting that I already practically had an extremely cute girlfriend.  Had I actually just met my match in romance?

  Oh, fuck.

__

I ended up not calling the others in the end; I wasn't particularly hungry and it just meant wasting time walking to wherever they were.  So when they came wandering back an hour later, I was sitting outside with a coffee and a cigarette, texting Nason cause I was so bored.

"What the hell, Ronnie, you were meant to call us, bro!"  Robert exclaimed, sitting down next to me.

"Yeah, I know....I couldn't be fucked, and I wasn't that hungry anyway,"  I shrugged.  Max gave me a sharp look.

"What did you do then?  Sat around texting - who is it?  Nason - for an hour?"

"Pretty much,"  I grinned.  That was a complete lie, all I'd actually done was go get some more ciggies, come back and sat around smoking for the rest of the time.

"D'you guys wanna go in then?"  Monte suggested, glancing at his watch.  Me and Rob stood up and we all wandered into the building, back to the room we'd been in before.  Joey turned up, literally, thirty seconds later.

"Alright guys, you ready to get back to work then?"  he asked, sitting down in one of the few, hard plastic chairs scattered around the room.  "I think we should start thinking about what songs you want to put on the album - sorry Ronnie, - the ep.  D'you want to plug in and show me the rest of what you've got ready to perform?"  I rolled my eyes as we obediantly started setting up again.  We were just using equipment Joey had managed to find somewhere, so it didn't sound that great - but it saved us having to bring all the guitars and shit with us.

"Hey guys, what rhymes with "passion"?"  I asked, adjusting the mic stand to the right height, then turning back to the others.

"Crashing?  Trashing?"  Monte suggested as he turned his amp on.  "Oh wait, if you want an exact rhyme....uhh, fashion?"

"Fashion's good, I'll stick with that."  I typed it into a message draft on my phone, meaning to save it for the half written song I'd been thinking about for the last week or something.

We started the list of three remaining songs with 'Make up', which went fine, and then went straight into 'As you're falling down'.  The difference was that this time, I think we all knew that we wouldn't have to strip down any of the songs, so we were all trying really hard to make them sound awesome.  Until we got to "The structure falls."

'The structure falls' was a pretty personal song, being one of the first I'd ever written.  I'd done it about two years ago, as something for one of me and Max's previous (failed) bands, but it hadn't got much further than our rehearsal rooms.  We didn't play it live, simply cause it was quite hard to get into at first - it had a lot of screaming and rough backing vocals, and me and Omar would have to switch performance roles near the end, cause to be honest, he could scream a lot better than I could.

"Alright, this song actually uses a keyboard, but since we don't have one in this exact room we'll forget it,"  I announced to Joey.  He nodded and Rob hit his cymbal four times, starting us off.  I knew something wasn't right as soon as I sang the first words; "Save the scars, Hide your face..."  Joey let us go on for a few bars, then waved his hands, gesturing for us to stop.

"Okay, no offence guys, even though you only showed me that much, I don't think it sounds quite...well, right.  You know what I mean?  It's just-"

"I can't sing it right,"  I said shortly, putting the mic back in the stand.  Max glanced over anxiously.

"Why not, you were singing it earlier."

"I don't fucking know!  That was before we took 'I can swing a mic' apart,"  I retorted.  "I dunno why, I can't scream for long periods of time and then be expected to sing like fucking Freddie Mercury.  D'you wanna try it again?"

"Ronnie....we're not asking you to sing like Freddie Mercury,"  Rob interjected, no doubt thinking he was helping things.  "We know it's not in your vocal range, so we don't do that kinda stuff."

"Ya know, Rob, thats probably making him feel so much more fucking confident,"  Max told him sarcastically.  "Don't worry about it, Rad - if you can't do it it's no big deal."

"Yeah, we'll just scrap the whole song, why not,"  Robert muttered, even more sarcastically than Max.

"SHUT UP,"  I yelled.  I was quite prepared to continue, but Rob quickly started the song, and I had no choice but to sing it.

"Save the scars, hide your face I've done, read your mind, well my perception on des- oh for FUCKS SAKE,"  I yelled and threw the microphone on the floor, then stormed out of the room.

Max's POV

"Now you've fucking done it,"  I accused Rob crossly, turning my amplifier off and straightening up to remove my guitar from around my neck.

"Where d'you think he's gone?"  Joey asked, standing up, looking a bit worried.

"Out for a smoke,"  Omar put in.  "Max, can you go calm him down, see if he'll come back?  Even if he can't do it right now, we still need to talk about the ep tracks and shit."

"Sure, sure, consider it done,"  I drawled and walked out of the room.

I found Ronnie, as I'd expected, sitting outside smoking.

"Hey, you okay, dude?"  I asked, sitting down next to him and getting my own pack of cigarettes out.

"I've smoked way too much of these today,"  he said to nobody in particular, completely ignoring me.  I rolled my eyes.

"Fine, be like that then,"  I snorted, pretending to be hurt.  " 'S okay, I never loved you anyway."

"Shut up,"  he told me, lighting my ciggie off his own.  "You're interrupting my thoughts, and that's not a good idea."

"Okayyy, what are you thinking so hard about then?"  Ronnie didn't answer right away; when he did, he sounded distant, not really with it.

"D'you think me and Chasey would make a good couple?"  I thought for a few moments, then shrugged.

"When you forget that neither of you can go five minutes without criticising each other, then yeah.  I think you and Chasey would have, like, one of those love/hate relationships....why?"

"I dunno, I was just thinking....would she really find someone else while we're over here, and she's back in Vegas?"  I stared at him in complete disbelief, then shook my head and started laughing.

"Don't tell me you want me to say yeah, cause you've found someone else.  Oh god, Ronnie, you gotta be fucking kidding me....who is it?"

"Dude, shut up,"  Ronnie exclaimed, pushing me away.  "What d'you think of Mandy?"  I sat up sharply, glancing over to see if he was serious.

"Why, ohh wait.....you - and Mandy?  Wow, that didn't take you long, man.  Let me guess...you didn't really leave your phone behind, you just wanted to see her again?  Oh - listen, I just had the most awesome idea!  You take Mandy back to Vegas, get her and Chasey drunk and you got a prefect threesome!  Haha, I'm a genius."

"MAX.  Shut up, quit being such a fucking dick.  Actually, ya know what?  Even doing that rehearsal wasn't as bad as listening to you."

"Alright!"  I cried enthusiastically.  "You wanna go back in then?"  I swear, I felt so incredibly proud of myself when Ronnie stood up, stubbed out his cigarette and headed back into the building.  Max Green = evil genius, am I right?

Promise Me You won't leave my side (Escape the Fate) 38

I'M SOOO SORRY!!!!!  This has been wayyy too long in coming; I've been kinda depressed lately, and really busy...and tired...and stressed...but whatever.  I'm officially dedicating this one to elizarofl411 for writing a journal promoting this story :)  Not sure when the next one will be up but I think Krystal's sending me Max's POV for Gorgeous tomorrow XD

COMMENT FOR THE NEXT ONE!!!!!

Ronnie's POV

Saturday morning.

I got to the hotel the guys were staying in at about five to ten, the next morning.  They obviously weren't outside yet - I could see that - and none of the taxis waiting by the pavement seemed to be reserved for anyone.  I sat down on the cold pavement, leaning against the hotel wall and decided to wait for the others.  Hopefully they wouldn't be long.  I was used to the winters in Vegas, having lived there all my life - I'd been through colder temperatures than this, but whatever, I still hated the cold.

I missed Chasey.  And I was cold, and pissed off, and still a bit wrecked from last night.  I felt in my pocket for my smokes, pulled one out and lit it.  As I took a drag on it, the hotel door opened and Max practically fell out.

"Ronnie rawkstar!"  he screeched and threw himself down next to me as Omar, Monte and Rob came out to join us.

"Hey 'Ronnie rawkstar',"  Omar grinned, taking my cigarette from between my fingers and inhaling.  I rolled my eyes.

"That's mine...why's everyone call me that anyway?"  I whined.  "I swear you guys just sit around when I'm not there, making up ridiculous nicknames for me.  Nason called me 'Ron-Ron' last night."  Max and Rob cracked up laughing, even Monte smiled a bit.  I scowled at them; I hadn't meant it to be funny.

"We'll have to get Chasey on the case too,"  Rob smirked.  "What would she think up, I wonder...Darling Ronnie...Ronnie baby..."

 "Ronnie-wonnie,"  Monte suggested.  Max literally collapsed with laughter - I don't even know how he managed it, since he was already sitting down.  I stared hard at Monte until even Max quit giggling, then said, between clenched teeth;

"Promise me you won't ever say that again, Monte.  Seriously, the only reason I'm not gonna kick your ass right now is that I can't be fucked with the effort of getting up and walking over to you."

"Imna call you that all the time now,"  Max smirked, suddenly wriggling closer to me.  "God, why's it so fucking cold?!  I wanna go home..."

"So do I,"  Rob suddenly moaned, hopping up and down with his arms crossed.  "I don't like LA...I want Jess."

 "I want Chasey,"  I sighed.

"I want Saskia,"  Max anounced, not wanting to be left out.  I stuck my tongue out at him; he did exactly the same back.

"I want-"  Omar began, but just then a rather distinctive taxi pulled up by the edge of the pavement.  The driver wound down his window.

"You guys the band?"  I glanced at the others, then shrugged.

"We're Escape the Fate, I think we need to get to Epitaph Records headquarters...Joey something was meant to be meeting us here..."

"Joey Simrin?  He's our new manager,"  Max put in.  The driver's face suddenly cleared.

"Oh right, yeah - I've been sent to pick you guys up then.  You gonna get in?"

"I bet he's gonna kidnap us and make our parents pay ransoms,"  Monte muttered as Omar opened the door and climbed in.  I rolled my eyes.

"Yeah, like my dad would ever pay a ransom to fucking "rescue" me from evil kidnappers.  Go on, get in."  I climbed in after him; surprisingly, the cab was actually bigger than it looked.

"I'm renaming this thing The Tardis,"  I told Max, matter of factly, putting my feet up on him (he was actually sitting backwards, behind the driver).  He doubled over immediately.

"Holy shit, Ronnie - that was my fucking crotch."  Me and Omar started cackling with laughter as the driver eased the cab away from the kerb and stepped on the gas.

"That was the point,"  I said sarcastically as Max flipped me off.  "Hey, dude - when are we getting to....wherever it is?"

"When you get there,"  the driver yelled back.  I rolled my eyes in disbelief; it seemed that while the rest of America had rude taxi drivers, LA had weird, witty ones who no doubt thought they were being smart with their comebacks.

"LA is freaking me out, dude,"  I told Omar.  He snorted with laughter.

"Yeah, well, Vegas freaks me out all the time.  How d'you even manage to live there?"

"Dunno...guess you get used to it really,"  I shrugged.  "I just hope Simrin hasn't forgotten about us, anyway."

___

When we got to Epitaph HQ, the cab driver basically kicked us out, after making us pay of course, then got the hell out of there.  Leaving the five of us standing outside, in the cold, with no idea of what to do next.

"D'you think we should go in?"  Monte said quietly.  Nobody answered; I think we were all wondering the same thing.

"I dunno, but I need a fucking smoke, man."  I pulled my cigarettes out of my pocket and offered one to Max and Omar.  But - seriously, the moment we lit up, the main door of the building opened, and a girl stepped out.  She had dark hair and she was wearing a short leather jacket and a black skirt ending a couple of inches above her knees - that was pretty much all I could make out from where we were stood.  She glanced around for a few moments, then, apparently noticing us, walked over.

"Hey - are you guys waiting here for anyone?"  she asked, glancing around at all of us.  God she was cute.  She was short, really short, she had big blue eyes and jet black hair, and even though she had a scarf on, I could see part of a tattoo on her neck...coincidentally the opposite side to my latest one.

"We're meant to be meeting Joey Simrin,"  I replied, smiling slightly, sarcastically.  "He was supposed to come to our hotel, but he sent a fucking taxi instead....so we're not really sure what to do right now.  Wanna give us some help, seeing as we're new to this whole thing?"

"Why not,"  she smiled back.  "After all, it's not every day I have to pay Brett a visit - and end up helping five cute band members out with some shit.  I assume you guys are in a band, right?"

"Yeah, Joey's gonna help us record an ep or something today,"  Max grinned.  "We're Escape the Fate - Rob Ortiz, Omar Ortiz, Ronnie Radke, Monte Money...and me, Max Green.  Do us the pleasure of telling us your name?"

"Mandy,"  she replied softly, still staring at me, even though Max had spoken.  "Mandy Murders

Promise Me You won't leave my side (Escape the Fate) 37

Max's POV

Sometime mid January; Hotelle le Grande, Los Angeles

"So where are we meant to be going for this rehearsal tomorrow then?"  Robert asked, throwing himself down on my bed where I was curled up with the band's laptop, reading through all our myspace comments.  I looked up sharply.

"What?  Oh yeah, fuck, I dunno, man...don't think he said.  We're supposed to be meeting him outside this hotel at, like, ten tomorrow morning.  Apparently he knows somewhere that'll be great to play all together and then individually.  So's he can check out all our personal skills I guess.  Did you tell Monte to get me some smokes?"  he nodded, rolling his eyes.

"I did - he'll be lucky if he manages to even find his way back from the shop though.  What time are the others getting here then?  They'll need to let us know at some point."

"Yeah, yeah, leave it to me,"  I sighed.  "I'm waiting for a text from Omar and I did remind Ronnie last night, but he's probably forgotten.  I'll call him in a bit."

Me, Robert and Monte had been basically stuck in a hotel in LA, all day long.  Well, okay, we could have gone out but none of us could be bothered.  We'd sent Monte out for some stuff about ten minutes ago but to be honest, it was a wasted excuse seeing as we'd be going out to eat soon.  Considering it was about half six.

"D'you wanna get some booze and stay up late tonight?"  Robert's voice broke into my thoughts.

"Um...I do, I really do Rob - but we've got this thing tomorrow..."

"Oh yeah.  Got it, probably not a good idea then,"  he sighed and fell back onto his back on the bed.  "I don't see why you two always get to have all the fun though."

"We're fucking legal, mate,"  I smirked, suddenly remembering why I loved hanging out with Rob and Monte so much; I could always tease them about their ages.  "I'm twenty one now, I can get wasted without being arrested.  Whereas you have to wait another...oooh, lets see...three years now?  Or is it two?"

"Shut up,"  he grinned back, smacking my leg with the back of his hand.  "Are you gonna call Ronnie then?"

"Later.  Sheesh, impatient much?"  I exclaimed, snapping the laptop closed.  "I don't even know where the hell he is...which is why I'm putting it off.  What if he's been kidnapped by twenty hookers and they've traced his phone so they can get us too!  Didn't think of that now, didja?  Why the fuck didn't you guys look for him when you picked me up?"

"Cause the fucking cab driver was getting pissy.  Besides, knowing Ronnie, he's probably...I dunno...hiding out in a fucking bar or a strip club or something.  Was he drunk when you saw him last?"  I hesitated; I wasn't so keen on telling Rob we'd been snorting Oxy's.  Or telling him we'd got fucked up and forgotten where our hotel was either, for that matter.

"Maybe a bit...he might have taken something too but I really can't be sure."  Rob sighed and gave me a reproachful glance.

"Yeah, well.  Don't let him get too into whatever he does to get his highs, alright?  He'll fuck his voice up, it'll fuck the band up...and I really don't want that to happen, man."

"Me neither,"  I murmured.  It was alright for Rob and Monte though, I was sure they'd never even tried anything stronger than weed...they didn't know how addicting the Oxy high really was, how it made you feel, how you wanted to do it again and again.  Fuck, I needed more of it.

"Imna call Ronnie,"  I muttered, digging my phone out from my back pocket.  I found his number and pressed call.  After about six rings, he picked up.

"Heyyy, Maxwell!  We were just talking about you, dude."

"Oh...cool,"  I answered, feeling slightly confused already.  "Who's 'we'?"

"Me and Nason, duh.  What time we meeting for rehearsal tomorrow, Maxxy?"

"About ten outside our hotel, I think.  Ronnie, where the hell are you?  Why's Nason with you?"

"Cause you called him last night to come look after me,"  Ronnie replied, sounding surprised I didn't know.  "I have no idea where we are, we were in a hotel but we just left...we're gonna go eat now, then we're gonna go have some fun, y'know, get fucked up, score chicks, that kinda shit.  Wanna come with?"

"Sorry, man, I can't,"  I sighed.  "Gotta stay here and wait for Monte.  What hotel were you in?"  No answer, but I could hear Ronnie speaking to someone in the background.  Then he was back.

"I dunno, didn't get the name.  Hey, guess what - Nason's a zombie now!  I was gonna be a zombie but...I'm too hardcore-fucking-badass.  So I get to be Batman instead.  Y'know what would be way hardcore?  Being Nikki Sixx.  'Cept my hair's too short right now.  Hey Max, you there?  You can be my Robin any day, baby."

"I'd love to,"  I said sarcastically.  "Are you high or drunk or something?"

"Yeah.  Dude - Nason's completely trashed, it's really funny just being around him.  You should totally come out, Maxxy."

"Yeah...I can't,"  I sighed.  "Look, Ronnie...I need to be certain you're gonna be here tomorrow.  D'you even know which hotel we're staying in?"

"I'll figure it out, dude.  I'm not stupid, I don't care what Rob says....he's just jealous anyway.  Kay, I gotta go now, see ya soon motherf-"

"Ronnie wait!"  I cut in before he could hang up.  He sighed heavily but I didn't hear the dial tone, so I assumed he was still there.  Now to talk to him without letting Rob catch on.  "D'you remember at Joey's?"

 "Mmhmm, which bit?"

"You know...when we first got there, what we did first...?"

"The Oxy's?  Oh yeah, yeah got it...what about it?"

"Can we do it again sometime, like, real soon?"  Ronnie started giggling in a very annoying way.

"Aww, Maxxy's getting addicted.  Huh, what?  Dude, shut up!  Max, Nason says you're gonna be a druggie in a few months if we carry on like this.  Seriously though, I dunno...Oxycodone's a prescription medicine so I'll have to find a good dealer.  Alright, leave it to me, I'll see what I can do.  I seriously gotta go now..."

"Fine, whatever.  I'll call you about nine tomorrow,"  I sighed.

"Yeah, cool.  Later.  Love ya, bitch."

"Love you too, bro,"  I hung up and dropped my phone on the bed - only to snatch it up as the screen switched from call ended to message incoming: Omar.  I rolled my eyes - what was this, hotline Max Green hour? - and read the text.

'I can get to ur hotel 2night, 'bout ten - u gonna be there? omar x'

'Awesome, we're in room 129.  C ya in a couple hours, M. xo'  I sent back, then rolled over onto my front, still watching the little envelope icon on the screen drifting off into the pixellated distance.

"So what's goin' on then, homie?"  Rob suddenly said, right in my ear.  I jumped, startled at first - there again Rob's 'gangsta' impression always startled me.

"Oh right...um, Omar's getting here about ten tonight, I'll call Ronnie about nine tomorrow to let him know where we are.  Apparently he's with Nason."

"Ronnie's with Nason - here - in LA?"  Monte walked in the door, dropped the bag and stared at me.  "Why's Nason here?"

"No idea.  Ronnie's under the impression that I called Nason last night to look after him."  I shrugged and ran my fingers through my short, dyed black hair.  "Can we go eat already?  I'm fucking starving and I need a smoke."

"Go for it,"  Rob grinned.  " 'course, we'll ignore the fact that Monte's probably completely exhausted from climbing all those stairs."

"Oh no, I took the elevator,"  Monte smiled rather slyly.  "I'm ready if you are, Rob."  I rolled my eyes, getting up off the bed and wandering over to grab my leather jacket off the small table.  It always amused me how Monte and Rob's friendship was so different to me and Ronnie's.

Here's updates from the hospital. [Warning for one part. Talks about needles?][ATREYU RECAP]

My brother is in the hospital. He had to get his appendix taken out. Thank GOD they caught the appendicitis early. I've been up there all day. I hadn't even been home for an hour tops until now.

I got there around ten, and walked in. I don't know if you've seen, but it's rather heart breaking when you walk into a hospital room and your brother is all hooked up and whatnot. He's fine, don't worry.

So, as the day went on, I noticed more and more about him. He was as white as the sheets, and his temp. kept rising slowly. It was really weird just see him sitting there with a thick ass IV sticking out of his arm. It was already bruised around the veins, and blood flecked the tape that was holding it in. We had to help him with everything. Unhook him from everything, help him out of bed, and push his IV stand behind him everywhere he went. He had this little button that he could push every ten minutes. It was his morphine drip. All day, my brother sat there, watching TV, actin' all pityful, and he'd just tell us all of these stories about how they were getting him under and stuff. He told us one about when they went to put his IV in. The lady had to test the vein first, so they stuck the needle in him, missing the first time, took it out, stuck it back up, drew up blood, and shot it back up into him. They got the IV in correctly.

Around two, we finally got him out of the room and walked around, finding a giant wall window that we could see our water tower out of. He got tired real quick, so we took him back to the room, and this Mom and daughter passed us up. The mom took one look at Andre, looked at her daughter, and bust into tears. It was very sad. I hate hospitals for reasons. Mostly because it just full of death. >_>

He's doing fine. A group of his friends came in right before we left. I adore all of them. He should be coming home tomorrow.

Now for the Atreyu/ETF/The Sleeping/Hollywood Undead show.

Wednesday was kind of a crazy day at school. It was boring, and I was tired as shit. School let out, but NNNOOOOO. I had to stay for the fucking musical. We got through that, and got home at five. Little did Vee and I know, the doors opened at five thirty.

We got there, and it was pretty packed already. Well, not packed, but there were a lot of people there. I was on the phone with a family friend the WHOLE time, waiting with baited breath as The Sleeping was on. See, here's the thing. I have these friends, and, HAHAHAHAHA, they're kind of the cousins of, uh, "FunnyMan". So, yeah. I have hook ups. The Sleeping finished, and I called my friend again, and she said they just had gotten there and called him. She said she'd call me back.

I went outside with Vee and Dad to look at shirts, and ETF went on when we were out there. THE. SET. WAS. HORRRRRRIBLLEE. I love those boys, I just don't like them live. ETF finished, and my dad texted me, saying that he was outside with our family friend. We walk up, and there he is. Just standing there casually. We got free shirts. :3

While we were waiting with him for our shirts, Craig just walks in the door, not even noticing that there are people here with wide eyes as he does. He was sweet, and likes both of our names. Our real ones. Not Vienna and Sage. He also has a very nice hand shake, and gives good hugs. We talked, or, uh, met Max, too. He was soooo blow, it was funny. He's let himself go. >_>

We were outside again when Atreyu started, we heard the cheering, thrust everything into my dad's hands, and bolted back into the other room. THEIR SET WAS AMAZING.

HU was next, and my dad already wanted to go. He's really not a very optimistic person when it come to us and meeting our idols. >_> ANYWAY. We talked him into staying for the HU set, and let me say this: IT WAS A.M.A.Z.I.N.G. I had so much fun during that set. During their set, Marc came out, and we glomped him. He's so udorable, and no impressed. ;D

We kind of got kicked out of the venue because we didn't have the pink wrist bands, and this whole time, the family friend was like, "No, really, I'm related. I swear" Their tour manager ended up getting us all in. :D

While in line for the signing, all of us just hear, "OH SHIT! ROB!" And this guy Kevin, who used to live in my house, walked up. He had a fucking walkie- talkie. :DDDDD

He ended up taking us out to the Atreyu busses, after we talked to the Undead boys, and he went and got Scotty. The boys were all pretty much dying inside their bus, so Scotty come outside, and talks to us only, handing us both personally signed setlists. Beast, is it not?

Now that I have connections with people that work at Verizon, we can do things like get back stage. He even said, "Just give me a call when you guys get here for the AFI show, and I'll try to sneak you guys back stage." :D

MY DADDY TOOK ALL OF THESE BECAUSE I DIDN'T WANT MY CAMERA TO BE BROKEN.

I think he did a pretty job seeing as how he was pretty far back.

VARKATZAS CUBB! :D

^Hollywood Undead fans. :3^

BTWs, knowing these family friends, it means that I get to hang out with the HU boys when ever they come to Houston. Uhm, awesome? I think so.
