I've Got Friends In All The Right Places
I put some sandwiches, lemonade & orange slices into the small, caned picnic basket. I pulled the blue park blanket out of the linen cupboard - light pouring into the small closet.
Dill had asked me on a picnic down at the creek where we threw our first skidding stone together. It must've been special.
I pushed my glasses up my nose before folding the blanket up & putting it next to the sandwiches. There was a knock at the door.
"Dill!" He hugged me tight, After our meaningful greeting, I looked at him. He was wearing a white tuxedo with a red bow tie, his hair parted - that one bit of hair erect - & his big-framed glasses.
"Angelica! Look at you! You look... ravishing!" I blushed. I was wearing a long, summer dress with a pair of black flats. He always gave me such nice compliments. I felt special...
"Are you ready? I cant wait!" He nearly squealed. I grabbed his hand & the picnic basket & we left.
"Angelica. You are just the pertiest flower! Do you know that?" I nodded. He was making me feel like a queen today.
"Hey love bug, can you pass me an orange slice?" I asked.
"Close your eyes." Dill whispered. "For an orange slice?" I said through closed eyes. He put something warm into my hand.
It felt square - like a square box. I fumbled it threw my small hands, trying to make out what it could be.
He took it gently out of my hands & I heard a click. I was nervous. "You can open your eyes, gorgeous."
There, in his hand was the box. Inside the box was a small, silver ring with a blue gem in the middle.
"Is this for me?" I said with tears forming in my eyes.
"Will you marry me?" Dill was crying too. I could not of said yes quick enough. I slowly took the box out of his hands & turned aroun, so I could look at it with the light reflecting off of it.
At that moment I heard a loud rustling & a ferocious growl. I was too excited to turn my head. It was marvelous!
I then heard a dainty scream that broke my thoughts sharply. I turned around & dropped the box.
Dill was being dragged away by a.. a.. bear!
I screamed for Dill. I thew sandwiches at the bear. I threw the picnic basket too. It was making the bear angier & dragged Dill quicker.
"Angelica! I love you!"
"I do too Dill!"
His thick glasses were dropped & broken.
His tuxedo was full of bear nail marks.
His hair was ruffled.
He was gone.
You should never have a picnic in a bear's territory. With your loved one. Ever.

Definately NOT to be taken seriously! This was based on the film clip "Ive got Friends" By Manchester Orchestra. Watch it.
