Emo music

Just thought I would put in my 2 cents (or 10 cents, for inflation's sake) about the genre of music.  I personally think emo is an extention of the blues, rock style.  All music heard today is an extension of music from way back.  The genres are the same, just keep adding sub-genres (what ever the hell that is, it is driving me up the wall) becasue everyone wants to say that they have thier own music and  no body has ever heard of it, but when you get right down to it, it is all the same.  I think so musicians are better at stringing riffs and drum beats to make us feel the music, but again, just the same ole things.  Om pa pa....  Music makes you feel.  That is the point, IMO, music is suppose to offer us, whether we are sad, happy, angry, feel like breakin' stuff, dancing, jumping= making us happy at that particular moment, no matter what genre it is.  There it is....I am done.
