I can't believe I got flu on the week of my gigs.
Major dissapointment :|
Hello everyone, I'm sure you'd all like to know the craic, so here it is:
I study Advanced Music at college. The week starting September 7th 09 we were all given our Woodstock assignment. Basically, as it's the 40 year anniversary of Woodstock we have have to create our own big show (covering songs played at the original event and all that) and record a behind the scenes documentary about it all. We were all lumped into bands and each band were given two songs. My band's songs were One the Road Again by Canned Heat (hate it) and Somebody to Love by Jefferson Airplane (L)
I was stoked on it all, and worked my ass off for two months rehearsing and performing and writing a 20 slide assignment. I didn't care about the hard work 'cause it'd be worth it all for the final gigs, right?
Wrong.
I have the shittest immune system humanity's ever known, I get ill ALL the time. I accepted long ago that that's just the way it is. So you can imagine my suprise when everyone began falling ill with flu and I hadn't caught it. Infact, I was totally fine for months. I actually started to believe I had some sort of immunity from flu. How wrong I was! TWO days before the final, big old, important gigs I'd be looking forward to so much I fall totally and completely, pathetically ill with flu. I was so ill I couldn't put my pants on without falling down :/
So here I am, at home on day two of the gigs, insanely jealous of my class mates, who'll be finishing up gig number three right about now, and will be on their way to getting themselves mortal drunk before gig four. All the while, I'm stuck at home (I'm not allowed to leave the house for another three days, by the way) crazed with boredom and sleep deprivation and drinking tomato soup.
Remember folks,

Catch it,
Bin it
Kill it!
Or you'll end up like me :|
On the upside, it gives me the oppertunity to fix my Buzznet ;)
