Andy Warhol Is Rolling In His Grave...

Is it just me or is anybody else annoyed how every bimbo in Hollywood always says how much they love Andy Warhol and Edie Sedgwick? Andy was a great artist and Edie was his muse. I think she had great fashion sense and she must have had a lot of personality, otherwise people wouldn't still talk about her so many years later. Edie was as drugged up as anyone could get, but she had the talent to make up for it. Unlike those "It-Girls" in Hollywood that have no personality or originality whatsoever and settle for being drugged up sluts who think nobody understands their "artistry".

ScarletMadeline's Makeup Mastermind Looks Edie Sedgwick, Sienna Miller and Twiggy

We judge people on the arrangements of their features and their style. Care to tell me that you don't? Well, I would say that you might not judge your friends on their beauty, but you certainly pick up a magazine cover or check out a musician on stage and say "damn that girl looks awful in that outfit" or "wow what was she thinking wearing that much eyeshadow". This round of ScarletMadeline's Makeup Mastermind I will be looking at some of the hottest "it-girls". Because lots of makeup these days is 60's inspired I thought these lovely ladies would be great examples for HOT makeup looks to try out. BREAK OUT YOUR MATTE EYESHADOWS AND FALSE LASHES! See who I am talking about ...

Top Nine Celebrity Girl Crushes.

Yes. Nine. Not ten. This isn't meant to be degrading in any way, because I haven't figured out my sexuality. Pretty much, these girls make it way harder for me.. haha.

9. - Kristen Stewart

She's a very attractive girl. The reason she's on the bottom is because she doesn't seem like she has a very pleasant personality. I'm not a Twilight fan, either. Still. She's pretty hot. She has a very different look to her.

8. - Zooey Deschanel

This is a pretty common one. She's incredibly gorgeous. She almost looks like she's a real life Varga Girl. Despite her hotness, she just doesn't really stand out enough, in my opinion. She seems almost lacking of a personality.

7. - Dita Von Teese

Also very common, but for a good enough reason. Absolutely gorgeous woman, mature, classic features, Looks good in anything, Oozes sexuality, good taste in clothing. She's definitely the new Bettie Page. I just get the feeling she smells good, too.

6. - Edie Sedgwick

Possibly the most brilliant train-wreck of all time. But something about her made her so adorable. And almost eerie. I find that kind of intriguing.

5. - Katy Perry

Everything about this chick oozes sexuality. Her voice, her wardrobe, her face, her mannerisms. The fact that she kisses a girl and likes it doesn't really matter. And, no. She doesn't remind me one bit of Zooey Deschanel.

4. - Leighton Meester

I don't even know why I'm so attracted to her. I think it's probably her hard features. Mostly her eyes. Yeah. I'm pretty confused. She's gorgeous, but she doesn't really stand out.

3. - Anna Paquin

I'm all about unique features, and thats pretty much the definition of Anna Paquin. She doesn't look like anyone but herself, and she has those big effing eyes. Another thing that completely turns me on is her mannerisms in interviews and things. Don't ask me why. She's just.. well.. hot.

2. - Megan Fox

Big fucking surprise, right? Well, this one is pretty self explanitory. The girl is pretty much flawless. Like a younger Angelina Jolie, only way better looking. Her up-front attitude definetly makes her sexier.

1. - Olivia Wilde

In my opinion the most gorgeous woman on earth. She doesn't look like anyone and still manages to be flawless, she looks like she could have been a movie star in the forties, she seems incredibly mature, a brilliant actress, and she has played massive amounts of bisexual roles, and still managed to not look like a whore.

Hot hot heat

It is so hot today! And its suppose to be like this all weekend....yuck! For those who know me I'm always cold but I dont like hot weather, I'm just very weird like that. I dont like sweating, feeling hot or anything like that, its a lot easier to stay warm than it is to get cool. My day though hasn't been too hot, I only left  to go pick up my sis from school but thats it I really dont plan on living my house today. I watched Factory Girl again and every time I watch it I feel a little angry to Andy Warhol but I love him so I get over it. I really want to go to the Andy Warhol exhibit at the museum, I think it ends like this weekend so I really need to get my butt of there. School ends in like 2 weeks I'm so excited cuz I need summer vacation badly.

Hmm...I really dont have too much going on lately just school mostly, I'm going to try to get a photoshoot together soon so look for the new pics. Also please help out with the contest, some of you have been doing an awesome job with promoting so I thank you very much. Again the contest is until June 26th and then within a week we'll announce the winner. Very excited!!!!

Well try to stay cool this weekend and have fun life short :D

xoxo

Edie vs. Eddie

This weekend has had it's ups and downs. mostly downs. I lost my phone at the mall. I was supposed to go to the movies with Taylor, but had no way of calling him. I left him a message on myspace, and got a very sarcastic sounding one back. it's always weird how something you can write can go either way. That left me very pissed off. Called my agent this moring to tell her i couldn't make it to a casting for California Costumes in downtown. Meeting with her tommarrow and casting in LA. mom gets home tonight. It's been nice having them gone, but i miss them. Went to the gym yesterday. Found out that somehow i lost four pounds. not so sure how that happened, but i guess it will make my agent happy.

Finally Saw Eddie Izzard on saturday. Funniest thing ever, i was laughing the whole time. He answered questions afterwards, and Katie got a hug from him. Lucky girl.
I'm doing a press conference for SD Fashion week on wednesday, we'll see how that goes. should be fun. Hopefully i'll get a new phone soon, if they don't find the one i had.
:[:[:[
I was so bummed, and i felt horrible. Now i have to get everyone's numbers because i've only memorized my mom, dad, sister, and katie's numbers. ugh. Called Jenna the other day, she didn't answer. I wonder what she's up to, we haven't talked in a while.
I was supposed to go to the movies with Taylor last night, but i had to way of contacting him except for myspace. I was at katie's house and left him a message saying i couldn't go and when i got on the computer i got a very sarcastic message from him. hmmm. that's annoying. i asked him what his phone number was and he never answered so i messaged jenna and got it. Left him a voicemail, i have this feeling that he's avoiding me. oh well.
That's stupid.

Finished watching Factory Girl this weekend. I have to say that it's one of my favourites. sad, but Edie Sedgwick is my new idol. She's amazing. I think i'm going to be her for halloween.

I'm going to make some cream of wheat and watch breakfast at tiffany's.
I'm so sick of everyone right now.

March 6, 2008

OH! gasp

I'm sick yet again. Not throwing up or anything like that, just coughing myself half to death. Hence the reason I am living on coffee and coc-cola just to keep myself awake so I can re-live another day at school, basically the same as the day before.
I've been so busy lately, everyone is pushing to know what I want to be when I leave school, what subjects I'm taking, what courses I'm doing, where I am doing work experience, when am I going to get a job.. everything seems to be going so fast, I mean, I'm only 14 and I already have to start thinking about what I want to do, what courses I'm going to take... having to get my resume organized.. just everything is crazy at the moment.
But other than that, I have been so excited! I got invitited to enter an art exhibition so I'm entering two photos in the digital photography section and a couple of drawings and a painting. I'm really pushing to get it all finished in time!
At the moment, I'm trying to organize the photo shoot with my friends as I'm doing a very 60's a la Edie Sedgwick and Andy Warhol photo. Complete with sitting around an old coffee table, playing scrable in our 'Edie Sedgwick' clothes ( and beehives of course.) For the other photo, I'm thinking about getting my friend to stand alone in an abandoned laundromat standing by an old washing machine, all in black and white of course. I'm thinking a kind of Green Day 'Jesus Of Suburbia' video kinda vibe. Very dark and rebellious, almost gothic.

Anyway, off to go do my assignments.
xo, Tea.

Bauhaus bassist directing Edie Sedgwick stage show

David J, bassist of Bauhaus, has written and will be directing an upcoming stage biopic on 60s Warhol muse, Edie Sedgwick. It's playing here in Hollywood in March and the show promises to be different from everything we've seen about Sedgwick since her death. Plus, some dude from Bahaus wrote it!
