Ah! How was his critique? Anouk's boy is way more Cezanne, much less Warhol.

he was into certain pieces. he is a big fan of yellow so he was attracted to those ones. he pretty much just wanted to go to the kids area. my daughter is a bit more in tune to art, i'll probably take her when the gals get out here. she loves the pop art.

rad. how's the museum as a whole? is it big?

hey i just learned that sam beam lives in austin - when not on the road.

it's sorta deceiving because from the outside the museum looks like it occupies more than one floor and looks quite big really but in actuality the downtown museum is very small, which was a bit disappointing BUT
there's another AMOA at a differnt location, which i've never been to as well as the Blanton art museum which seems big and i think is on the UT campus, then there's the Mexi-Arte museum also downtown which i've yet to check out. and we just missed the annual eastside studio tour where all the artists and studios open their doors for public tour, which i've heard is great.
i was wondering about sam beam actually, i saw the new cd in a record store on a display of texas artists...i haven't seen him around yet. when you coming to vistit?

I find that really cool. So simple. It would be nice if a Rothko exhibit rolls through Austin, just so he can see those massive slabs of color.

whenever you guys want. sxsw will be something to witness. i was toying with the notion of having any friends bands who were gonna be in town during that time to play our backyard. i'd have to figure out a PA, but just a little notion i was toying with.
