Trish Vicious top 10 albums of 2007

So Christmas sucked and 2007 wasn't the most exciting year of my life but a lot of good albums came out so I can't call the year a total bust. Here's my Top 10 Best Releases in Heavy Metal in 2007:

10.

"Ghost Opera" by KAMELOT released June 5th 2007 on SPV/Steamhammer.
First band my brother found out about before me that is actually good.

9.

"The Art of Partying" by MUNICIPAL WASTE released June 11th 2007 on Earache Records.
Gotta love good old thrash with a little twist.

8.

"Malice"  by THROUGH THE EYES OF THE DEAD released August 21st 2007 on Prosthetic Records.
My favorite from these guys since their EP in '04, "The Scars of Ages."

7.

"Messengers" by AUGUST BURNS RED released on June 19th 2007 on Solid State Records.
No disappointment here after "Thrillseeker" (2005).

6.

"Gods of War" by MANOWAR released on Febuary 26th 2007 on Magic Circle Music.
Haha. No comment. Just listen to it.

5.

"Fire Up the Blades" by 3 INCHES OF BLOOD released on June 26th on Roadrunner Records.
A little faster, a little more Halford-esque vocals, same old 3IOB. Thanks for the new record guys. I've only been waiting 3 years.

4.

"Mechanics of Dysfunction" by BENEATH THE MASSACRE released on Febuary 20th 2007 on Prosthetic Records.
Drummer Justin Rousselle must have the biggest calf-muscles ever.

3.

"In Sorte Diaboli" (Latin for "In Direct Contact with Satan") by DIMMU BORGIR released on April 24th 2007 on Nuclear Blast.
Norwegian symphonic black metal at it's finest.

2.

"The Cleansing" by SUICIDE SILENCE released on September 18th 2007 on Century Media.
I've mentioned them a lot haven't I? I guess they're one of my favorite bands or something.

...and finally,

1.

"The Dethalbum" by DETHKLOK released on September 25th 2007 on Williams Street.
Yeah, yeah...it's actually really good. I've been saying they should put out a cd since episode 1 aired...no joke.

So there's my top 10 of '07. What were some of you guys' (we all know girls don't listen to death metal =P) favorite releases?
