'Zombie Movie King' George A. Romero on "The Freak Power Ticket" In About an Hour

In just about an hour, "The Freak Power Ticket", on KCSB 91.9 FM (kcsb.org), airs a recent interview with legendary horror-film creator George A. Romero, discussing the 40 years of zombie cinema that he pioneered. Romero’s recent feature, “Diary of the Dead,” his 5th “Living Dead” work, opened last Friday at locations around the country, while his first film, “Night of the Living Dead” marks its 40th anniversary this year. The interview focuses in part on the topicality and impact of Romero's works, while the remaining hour celebrates the genre with reviews and criticism and music related to zombie movies, and Mr. Romero’s films in particular.

i liked the interview. the rest of the show was a little clumsy, but the music was good too. i'd love to organize a tribute weekend, for sure! great idea!
