Many states have considered legalizing marijuana, either for everyone or strictly for medical use. Others consider marijuana as a gateway drug and promotes young people to try other illegal and possibly quite addictive drugs. Marijuana has been reported to help people who suffer from constant nausea and even aids in pain relief. This has been a controversial topic because others report that legalizing marijuana would allow the DEA to free up over 30 million dollars, money that can be used to fight other potentially dangerous drugs. Besides that, the government could tax marijuana sales and bring in additional money which could be used for other worthy causes.
