From the ashes of Nirvana rose the Foo Fighters. Drummer Dave Grohl stepped out from behind the kit, grabbed a guitar and addressed the microphone. Former Germ and Nirvana back up guitarist Pat Smear came along to fight the Foo Fighter fight, but soon wandered off on his own. Maybe losing the Germ was Grohl's good luck, considering that the lead singers from Smear's two most high-profile collaborations quit their bands by killing themselves. The Pat curse foiled, Foo Fighters have hung around long enough to become elder statesmen to the MTV generation.

I don't know, I'm just okay with them. Nothing else. I mean, they're better than Rihanna, but I'd rather listen to My Chemical Romance.... I hate Rihanna...
