1) There Will Be Blood
It is without a doubt in my mind that I choose Paul Thomas Anderson's epic and enthralling oil epic, There Will Be Blood, as the best movie of 2007.
I can only gush about how much I enjoyed every second of this film. Johnny Greenwood's soundtrack will go down as history as one of the most original and unsettling pieces of orchestral music ever recorded. Daniel Day Lewis should be given every award humanly possible for his portrayal of the oil tycoon Daniel Plainview.
Read my review of the film, as I go into more detail about why this film is such a masterpiece. It is a complete and horrifying character study of religion, evangelism, capitalism, and ambition. It's been nearly two weeks since I've seen it and there is not a day that goes by that I don't think about it. I know I'll watch this film hundreds of times, trying to understand and appreciate all of the subtle nuances of Anderson's directorial work, as well as the interactions between Daniel Day Lewis and Paul Dano.
As I said in my review, this film is not for everyone. It's incredibly long, sometimes sludging along at a snail's pace, and the ending is so ruthlessly disturbing, some people may be put off by what this movie tells you about humanity left unchecked by greed and power.
But DO NOT MISS THIS MOVIE. This is cinema history in the making. This is a film that will be discussed and analyzed for many years to come. See this in a theater and see it with an open mind. For when the blood finally arrives, you'll have taken a journey from hope to utter despair and hatred. It is unlike any thing you've ever seen.

no pete wentz home made movie?
or maybe his personal porn?
*taps shoulder*
excuse me sir or madam, where is transformers?
and where is harry potter?
and where is all the good movies?
Never saw it! :(
I hope the Pete Wentz part was a joke.
Transformers was garbage. If I want to see thousands of SUVs ramming into each other, I'll go hang out on the 405 freeway.
I don't read or watch Harry Potter.
And these are all good movies. That's the point of this.
