The weather is hot in Brazil, and people wear very few clothes. Naturally, the word sex is part of the full title of Sao Paulo’s most recent musical gift to the world at large, CSS. The initials stand for cansei de ser sexy, which translates to “tired of being sexy.” But judging from the band’s snaking syncopations and suggestive rhythmic excursions, they haven’t quite yet wearied of the erotically charged existence. Some may say it's an odd coupling: Radiohead and Jack Johnson are headlining All Points West in early August in New York. While Radiohead are set to play both nights of the music festival, Johnson will close out the second night with the final performance.
