I haven't heard Air War in a very long time.

Anyways, I keep accidentally brushing my cut against things (remember when I chopped it chopping onions?). Yeah, it hurts when I do that. A lot.

Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs is quite a clever take on the book by the way. We saw it the other night. Made me really want to get into textures and modeling for animation. Speaking of which, despite me being in love with the idea of going back home to the Sunshine State, I like the idea of going to Savannah more and more every time I think about it. I don't know, wherever I go I just know that that's what I want. Pixar and Dreamworks and Disney, oh my.

So, in order to transfer to SCAD, I need a portfolio, so I was working today on making these short clips with a whiteboard. BUT, I didn't know where my tripod was, so they turned out kind of... eh. I don't want to call them shitty because that's not entirely what they were. I mean, they were decent. Just, I need a tripod for stop-action (?) movies.

Maybe I should study youtube some more.

I ALSO recently-- actually, this has absolutely nothing to do with movies, but whatever-- the other day I went to Sephora to return my HD makeup, because my god liquid foundation does NOT like my Nicole Kidman skin. So I got Stila instead. Definitely worth the $43 bucks and 80-something cents. And whoever created Convertible Color is a GENIUS.

Okay, that's all for now. I'm going to cut my little brother's hair. :)

And wow, the smell of pulled pork when it rises up into my room from the kitchen makes me SO HAPPY.

Hard Summer was supposed to be the ultimate electronic dance party of Summer 2009, with a booty-shaking lineup that included DJ AM and Crystal Castles. Unfortunately, the event's sold-out venue (the Forum in Inglewood) couldn't handle the 18,000 wanna-be ravers who showed up and the dance party was shut down before the big acts could even hit the stage. I'd have to say the two CDs i keep listening to are Good Charlotte:The Greatest Remixes (huge fan of track 12) and Kevin Rudolf:In the City (love Let it Rock).

I think the best party mix cd would consist of these two, MGMT, the Ting Tings, Crystal Castles. Kanye West, Britney Spears, Lady GaGa, Metro Station, and Metric. Plus tons of others. I pick these because they are all upbeat dance songs, perfect for a party.

The first annual Hard Haunted Mansion took LA by storm Halloween night. This night was not about ghouls, ghosts, and monsters, it was about killer moves on the dance floor. The lineup was a dream come true. It consisted of some of the biggest names in the Electro scene from around the world ready to bring the beats to the thousands costumed at The Shrine Expo Hall. There is no shortage of what to do or ideas on what to wear for Halloween this year and since it is almost upon us, lets get ready. Halloween falls on a Friday this year, which means that for the next three years my favorite holiday will be over a weekend (which is always a bonus). While I can't give you the low down on everything going on,  a few major music events jumped out as being the hot spots for Halloween '08. Those in DC, Vegas, Chicago, San Diego and Los Angeles read carefully ... a lot is going on! Details and ideas...
