MusicDish presents: Stephen Michael Apatow - Nessun Dorma

Not only is Stephen Michael Apatow the President, Founder, and Director of Research and Development of the Humanitarian Resource Institute, he is now able to credit himself as an accomplished recording artist. He is promoting his most recent track, "Nessun Dorma (None Shall Sleep)" - an aria from the Puccini opera, Turnadot. Apatow does a splendid job of conveying the emotions of Puccini's original composition and considering this piece is not an easy one to sing, his version is something to be heard. Apatow has certainly been blessed with a powerful tenor voice and "Nessun Dorma" is surely the beginning of an outlet through which this humanitarian will inspire his listeners.

Media Overload

Hey everyone,

A while back I covered Of Montreal's "The Past is a Grotesque Animal" in the hopes that my version might be included in an upcoming Spike Jonze short. Still haven't heard back from his people, or seen any developments, so I'm still keeping my fingers crossed that they'll dig what I did! Regardless of whether or not it gets chosen though, I had a blast putting it together. After posting a note on our youtube page asking if anyone would like to hear me cover another artist's tune I received some pretty cool requests. I'll tell you about one absolutely awesome one in the below video :)

Hope you enjoyed that! In other new, I just wanted to let you know that “Automatic Doors” was featured on Wednesday night’s Fame Games Alternative Programming! It aired on ABC Radio Networks and has been loaded onto the Meer Music and Fame Games websites!

As the Fame Game staff prepares for their fifth season selected members have chosen their 15 favorite tracks and DJ Sid Olivera picked our song, "Automatic Doors" as one of his top tunes! Sid's been a figure in the music biz for over twenty years so this is a big honor for us. Check out what he had to say after the jump.

It's great to be back on Fame Games. They've shown us a lot of support in the past and we really appreciate them continuing to help us share our songs with ABC Radio's audience! If you'd like to help us get some more major airplay please vote for/ review your favorite a'tris songs on our Fame Games page.

Hope this find you feeling healthy!
-Mason

New Moon Movie-Book cover

Well, fans of The Twilight Saga: New Moon are going to have to choose - much like their beloved Bella.

With just months before the latest release in the vamp franchise comes out, there's the inevitable repackaging of the Twilight material.

We're just waiting to see if there will be a new New Moon trailer following the release of the first longer version at the MTV Movie Awards - and we've given you an exclusive downloadable shot of Edward and Bella (spoiler alert) just before their parting in New Moon.

On top of that we took you behind the scenes on filming of New Moon  before telling you the shocking news that Robert Pattinson had been hit by a taxi  - but now it's time for you to choose.

Our friends over at EW.com have just published the first shot of the repackaged film tie in version of the book of New Moon - and quite frankly, whilst it ties in with the plot of the book, it's likely to upset fans of Team Edward.....but it's likely to have those who are converting to Team Jacob (you know who you are) dribbling at the mouth.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In my opinion, I REALLY DON'T LIKE IT. It's straying from the book again. They weren't suppose to be THIS close. That was suppose to happen in Eclipse, NOT New Moon. Sorry to Team Jacob and Team Switzerland people out there but this cover just doesn't seem right for the book's actual plot... :|

TEAM BELLA+EDWARD FOREVER!!! :D

Hurry, boy, it's waiting there for you

Here's a song I did because I requested, on Twitter, songs to cover. (If you don't follow me, comment below and then request to follow me)

It's called "Africa" and it's by Toto and the original is kind of amazing.
