Courtney Love Attacks Taylor Momsen

Don't worry, as with many of Courtney's ramblings, this attack was doled out via the internet (Twitter, specifically).  

And while most of her tweets are barely coherent, I'm providing a few of these to give you a little background on the issue... plus I didn't want to make you actually go to C.Love's Twitter page, because I'm convinced that twittering is all that woman does all day.  The tweets were from less than a day ago and they're already 5 pages back in her feed.

Anyway here's your guided tour to what went down.

The whole thing started when Courtney Love tweeted, "Why does Taylor Whatsit deeply disturb me and why is the Blonde one from the verons or whatever they are called wearing my actual clothes?"

And anyone who knows what Courtney Love looked like back in the days of Hole, knows that Taylor Momsen could pass for a prettier, younger, less strung out version of Courtney.  It's not a bad thing.  The bleached out hair, dark, tired eyes, and red lips are all classic Courtney and classic grunge-rock.

As for the part about the Veronicas, it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that, stylistically, they are also very influenced by the goth-glam grunge of Courtney Love.  

But just for humor's sake, let's take a literal look at some of the following tweets, because Courtney doesn't let things go easily.

We know, we know C. Love.  You're too legit to quit, but what's the harm in inspiring the younger set.  At least you're still relevant...

This tweet seems to negate the former.  It seems like Coco might have been watching some Gossip Girl because, unless Taylor is a brat in real life, Courtney might be mixing up real life with televised fiction.

Basically, Courtney is complaining that Lisa of the Veronicas  stole her look and, literally, her clothing.  And while I kind of agree with Courtney that I'm not the biggest fan of the Veronicas, genre wise, there's no need to put up this much of a fuss.

What about all your fashionable makeovers?  You know... the ones that happen when you suddenly lose weight and are *allegedly* sober for a few weeks.  Also, what girl doesn't want to be a style icon?

And let's be honest, this could be the best publicity you ever get.  Taylor and the Veronicas name-drop you as a fashion icon and suddenly you become relevant, for GOOD reasons.  Also, please straighten out C. Love.  You have a teenage daughter.
