Kurt Cobain estate robbed of $72 million according to "too strung out" Courtney Love

Courtney Love has had enough trouble of her own dealing with tabloids, drug problems, and raising the daughter of two rock icons. Love, now 43, is making more headlines: She says she was the victim of fraud and claims scam artists created 188 credit cards in late husband Kurt Cobain's name.

Identity thieves posed as the late Kurt Cobain to buy a $3 million New Jersey mansion and another $72 million in charges, Love alleges, the Sun of London reported Saturday. "It was fraud after fraud", Love reportedly stated, "But nobody believed me until now," she added.

To add a more dramatic twist, Love also told the Sun that that she thinks she knows who the alleged identity thieves are. She "stumbled onto the scam five years ago, but was too strung out to stop it," the tabloid said. Wow. Love also claims that she did indeed go to the police and recently brought in a team of private investigators to find the alleged thieves. She also adds a piece of advice for future moms and dads: "Taking a child’s money and future is a really horrible thing." Totally, but so is...never mind.
