Only in the Philippines?
Pinoys tend to believe that the way they drive their cars here is unique. I disagree.
I have an Irish friend who happened to live in the Netherlands. He told me that, in Ireland, its okay to disobey traffic rules as long as you don't get caught.
In the Netherlands, they have a lot of traffic cameras. Having borne the habit, he would make minor driving violations everytime it was convenient and that there were no police around. As a consequence, a traffic ticket would be sent to his residence the day after.
I got other friends from and are elsewhere who say the same driving "skills" are the norms.
So you see, the way we drive is not unique at all. What bothers me is why reckless drivers seem to be proud of their stupid ways.
